@@danstaifer2028 we missed this stuff in PLC 1 because of covid. I’m have so many holes Because of it now. I’ve resorted to buying my own plcs so I can try and make sense of stuff. I’m in plc 3 now
@@danstaifer2028 I’m still hoping I can come to your campus sometime and play in your lab. I just need to see what it’s like to actually connect a plc to a computer, connect through who active, connect I/o, etc. like I said there’s so many holes Because of missing PLC 1 and we only had about 4 in class Sessions in PLC 2. So a lot of the stuff we are doing in plc 3 assumes we did all of that stuff. Oh and I bought one of those cheap Click PLC trainers that comes with free software. It’s nowhere near AB but programming is similar. Still not experiencing the networking side of things though because this was simply plug and play www.plccable.com/automation-direct-plc-trainer-click-koyo-training/
How do you know at the beginning of you will have to use RSlogix or Studio ? Say I get order to hook up PLC will be there some instructions that say ?
You'll need to look at RS linx. If the revision is 20 and below, it's RSLogix. 21 and above the studio 5000
