Healthy Soil Healthy Landscape: Moculta

This video shows the characteristics of soil at a site in Moculta, South Australia, located next to one of the Barossa Improved Grazing Group’s automatic weather stations, which has a soil moisture probe linked to it. We look at the soil’s characteristics, including horizons, colour, root depth, water holding capacity, chemistry and pH, and discuss its good points and limitations. This video also covers some simple soil tests you can do in the paddock.
