I think ascending sets can work, but the lifter really needs to understand the load and their capabilities. I see so many lifters going too hard in the beginning and them missing the so called important sets. I also believe that the other style exists where as you mentioned the weight becomes too light and is just a warm-up. There is a balance here that is key. Doing 2 sets of 5 too close to your goal weight can cause excess fatigue that makes the number harder than what it might have been is they did maybe 2-3 reps instead of 5. The once they get to their goal weight doing multiple sets of that weight. Of course it will largely depend on their RPE number of that top set. Lots of lifters have that too set rpe of like and can only do one set. It still tends to come back to really knowing how to program correctly.

What's the difference of the ascending sets to feeder sets followed by a top set? Thanks

Such amazing information and content as always! Question, are you going to do a sumo video like you did w the lowbar? Which was another phenomenal video!

Brother, in case you don'f know, he has a few in depth videos relating to that on his previous channel namely "brazos valley barbell". Not a single exhaustive one covering everything from set up to execution in it though. They are scattered but touch almost everything important

@@mdshahiduzzaman9396 hey man ive been following David for years. I actually found his channel off this DL videos. That being said, its been years and he probably has learned more and may have a different outlook. Much like how he has made a lot of “lowbar” videos on the old page, he still made the comprehensive guide recently.
