Great dialogue...intense relationships. GH hasn't taken the time to build relationships like this in years in order to derive maximum impact from the fallout of perceived acts of betrayal. This dynamic is precisely why the writers should have made both Jason and Courtney, as well as Sonny and Carly its enduring couples. Test their bonds, but never completely sever them.

After Courtney, especially with Sam, her getting shot, kidnapped and even more, he doesn't want to take these risks again. Him leaving the people he loves is really the only thing he thinks that will work, because the past didn't seem to work too much for him.

In 98 when Jason was running the organization, Robin was almost blown up in a car bomb and Jason decided she was more important. While he was out of the business, he ran a motorcycle shop with Mike. The only reason he went back into the business was to give Sonny a reason to live after they thought Brenda died, but this scene does prove his love for Courtney.
Actually he went back to the business because Moreno kept pushing him and going after his people, so he had no choice which was great timing because Sonny was falling apart and he needed Sonny

It never came to this with any of Jason's girlfriends before, so... no offence, but it says nothing to me :).

Sonny was THE BIGGEST hypocrite. He had anyone he wanted around (Carly, Michael, Mike, loved ones period) and when he feared for their safety he sent them to his island. Convincing himself that his sister would be in danger becoming involved with Jason was a JOKE. If Courtney became a target, the fact that she was Sonny's SISTER was more than enough reason. So Sonny's argument had no merit whatsoever! Lol. Judging by ACTUAL logic, Courtney became a target the moment it became public knowledge that she was related to Sonny. Being with Jason wouldn't have created a greater threat to her life than THAT fact already did. Sonny was SO full of it back then, lol, SO glad when they all got past this delusional idea of the levels of safety versus danger when you were associated with Sonny or Jason in any way.
