Chadwick proved the role is more than a role, but that the honor and integrity that the actor donning the suit matters as a figure for inspiration.... And Michaela has all this in spades. Esp the way she turned Netflix down with no other offers for I May Destroy you to retain her creative rights, nevermind the bravery and raw honesty of how she told her story ❤️
The funny thing is I was just done watching a show on my HBO Max, and Chewing Gun came on my Recommendations. It was an off day for me so I said to myself, “okay let's see what this is about”. I laughed hard, I'm addicted to the intro (she made it herself, that's her singing btw). Then after I finished the show I knew I would love the show “I May Have to Destroy You”. I highly recommend y'all watch her shows. “Chewing Gum” is ultra funny and IMHTDY is great, serious, and insightful. It tea goes into the depths of what is in the life of a professional writer. Not only that, the soundtracks in both shows are great. Every episode in “IMHTDY” has different songs. 😊
