- This is a full lenght documentary I made from when me and my boyfriend thru hiked Kungsleden (The King´s trail). The trail stretches from Abisko in the Arctic Lapland, Sweden, to Hemavan, 430km south of Abisko. It has all you need to know about Kungsleden.
This is a must do hike before you die! It is one of the most beautiful places in the world and should be on everybody's bucketlist.
Hope you enjoy it as much as I did.
Music by various artists, but mostly from my friend Koffe: vimeo.com/user...
Thank you!
That was awesome!! Just loved it! I am a AT 2000 miler hike with my dog and this documentary just rocked!
Good documentary, I like how you're just acting naturally, just telling your story and showing what you saw, whilst speaking your own language. Informative as well. Love it. Hope you'll continue making videos like that.
Thank you! It warms my heart that you think that! I´m def going to make more videos like it. It´s a lot of fun:) Appreciate your comment. Have a nice day!
Incredible, super well made. You just did my dream!!thanks, you both are super strong in every sense of the word.
Thank you so much! :)
I thoroughly enjoyed your documentary, so much information that I can use for my hike. I live in the east coast US and the scenery is so different. I can't wait for my opportunity to hike such a breath-taking trail. Truly a King's Trail.
Wonderful video. Thanks for taking us along with you. Too old to make that hike but I've seen it through your eyes. I can tell you both are good people from the way you take care of your dog. greetings from Texas
paul keese I'm happy that you feel like you were a part of this hike! It's an amazing part of the world and we enjoyed doing this "walkumentary" to show it to others 😊 It's comments like yours that makes it worth all the work 😊 and yes, we love our dog very much! 😊
Thanks for you video ! It reminded me great moments I spent on the trail between June 30th and July 14th 2017. A lot of snow, not so good weather but what an honour and pleasure to walk there and what so many wonderful walkers and people working in the huts I met. Uunforgetable memories.
Thank you so much dahutski! I´m always happy to meet fellow hikers, so I´m glad you commented:) It is a great trail, I wish everybody could do it! ;)
Thank you for this great great video! You are such an inspiration for me! Take care!
Thank you for your kind words. I wish you all the best on your own hikes! 😊❤
Wow. Awesome video. Really enjoyed it! Thanks. After watching this.... its on my bucketlist!
Wow! Such a great adventure and so many ups and downs! I loved watching this and can’t wait to hike the Kungsleden. Well done 🙌
This will be a bit of different, However, I did lots long hikes in Victoria Australia Mountain Ranges with my husband and friends, and love being in the natural environment, I have been doing research about different hiking trails and tracks in Europe and around the world, hoping when is all well, I will do at least one trail a year, on my annual holiday. Thank you for sharing all the information. My next stop - Transylvania Romania. Good Journey and Stay Safe.
Alan, London
Wonderful documentary! I'll be doing the Kungsleden 5-25 August....I'm sure I will think of Krut! If that little dog can do it, so can I!!!
Thanks so much. It was a REALLY nice film!
Thanks Alan! That's wonderful to hear! Yeah think about Krut, that's an awesome idea for motivation!😁 Hope you'll have a great hike!
Mycket bra film ni gjort. Bra jobbat!
Tack Leif! En underbar film att göra😊
Really enjoying this video and look forward to my Kungsleden
thank you and good luck on your trip:)
My girlfriend and i are gonna hike the Kungsleden this summer! Thanks for sharing your adventure, really enjoyed it! And the dog is awesome!
Thank you so much! I hope you´ll have a blast on the trail! And are as lucky with the weather as we were! :-D And yeah... the dog is great ;-D
Nice video, good shots, thanks for sharing
At first I thought: what? 1h15m? But it's really a great, funny and true hiking video :-) Doesn't look too crowded in early summer. I'm definitely hiking the Kungsleden some day! All the best from Poland.
Haha! Thank you so much! :) No it isn´t crowded at all. The most busy stage is the one between Abisko and Saltoluokta. :) Yeah I think you should go for it! It is awesome!
Ja sie wybieram w przyszlym roku albo na poczatek lata albo gdzies we wrzesniu
Nice video 💥💥🙂👍
The perfect test before you married someone :-) No kidding , this movie was a looking how it is to walk the longest trail in the world . It was awesome to watch !
Greaaaat video! I'm hiking the Kungsleden in a couple of weeks (from Hemavan till Abisko) and learned a lot through this footage. Thanks for that! Still wondering though: do you need to hang up your food bag in a tree at night to keep animals from breaking into your tent? Or you didn't do that? And did you need a map or anything or are the signs clear enough (also in the opposite direction as I'm hiking northbound)? Thanks for your answers in advance :) Loved the video! All the best from Belgium.
Loool, Strange to see you under this video after watching yours :D
Hi there, amazing video! And well dooooone to you three! So many helpful information! Can't wait to hike the Kungsleden by myself. Since you took Kurt with you ( such a cutie by the way) You might be able to help me out with a question I couldn't find any informations about on the internet. Its about you taking Kurt with you on a sleeping cabin in the train, do you know if that ist possible with a larger dog (swiss shepherd) as well and do you recommend taking a restday in Kvikkjokk or Ammarnäs? Thanks already for your help. Cheers Alexandra
Very nice video.Thanks a lot !!!!
Fantastiskt bra film.!!
Tack så jättemycket mkadventure !😊😊
Amazing documentary, can I know which month did u guys hike the kungsleden?
Guys you are great but krut is the star. I love the way she carries her dinner and then you also can carry her youre all so lucky.
It was a wonderful video! I didn't think I would see the entire thing, but ended up doing so! It is very peaceful to watch this video for some reason. It is very well made! Also, I have one question for you: What breed is Krut? I already love him! It is crazy he walked such a long distance with you guys!
Grym video!
Awesome movie Elin!
I've spent my last 2 holidays in Swedish Lapland, with some succesfull and unsuccesfull trips...
Your movie really shows how beautiful and also at times how tough such a hiking trip can be.
Oh btw, nice dog you have!
Greetings from Belgium :)
Thank you Kevin! Where have you been hiking? Is Kungsleden one of your trips? Yeah, hiking is though but rewarding! That´s why I love it so much, you need to earn your view! :D Have a nice one!
In 2016 I hiked Padjelantaleden from Ritsem to Kvikkjokk. Was a great trip :)
This year my plan was to hike from Suorva (Störa Sjöfallet) to Kvikkjokk, along Niak, Ruothesvagge & Rapadalen. I got sick tho and ended up tapping out on day 5, I sent an SOS and was picked up by helicopter. Hiking in Sarek can be pretty harsh, but it's so beautiful.
The main issue however was the dangerous river crossings, because the water levels were so high...
I'm kinda lucky I didn't get injured. Oh well shit happens I guess. I'll try again some day.
Gonna have a look at your koala fight video now :) Cheers
Kevin P oh shit! That sounds intense! I heard that Sarek was really harsh this year, luckily you didn't end up dead! I also crave Sarek. But it will be a couple of years before I go😊 do you have any fotage from your trips? Never mind I will look it up on your profile!😁😁
Beautiful Video, which backpack you had for this long hike?
Great video! What time of the year did you go there? :) Seems like you've got nice weather most of the time!
What an awesome Video, thank you for sharing your experience with us! I am thinking of hiking a few weeks on the Kungsleden and I was wondering where you charged your camera? I plan to stay offline for as long as possible but I like to take photos and videos and knowing about the charging options helps you make plans.
Wow great documentary! I am going to hike the kungsleden this september. When were you guys there? in the summer judging from the amount of mosquitos. Thanks for the great film!
Com Lag thank you so much! Yeah we hiked it in the summer, in July, so I'm sure you're going to be much better of doing it in September. Also the colors in the autumn is going to be spectacular! Enjoy! 😊😊
Elin Nordlander Awesome! You guys are real sweet and if you do another big hike, i would love another documentary of yours! Also Krut is the cutest! Can't wait to come walk through your beautiful country! Big love from the UK
That´s so nice of you! We are planning to start making videos from all our hikes, we haven´t exactly been very good at documenting stuff before! ;-P When you come here I´ll hope you´ll make a video as well! I love watching hiking vids! :) Happy trails!
Fantastic! Can't wait to see them! I'd love to do some video, if I can afford to buy a camera before I go I'll do it for sure and come here and make a cheeky self promotion! Thanks again Elin (Hakan and Krut also!)
Com Lag haha! Plz do that! I'm looking forward to it! 😊😁
Fin video!
Awesome video! First I wanted to do only part of KL but now I am more than motivated to go all the way...what tent (brand name type) did you use and how long did your gas bottles last?
Hey Ryan! Yeah you should go all the way, it's pretty amazing😊 we used a hilleberg nallo gt2, it's rather big and quite heavy (2,3kg) but it was worth it since we could cook and keep all our gear on the inside. We used a medium sized gas bottle that lasted all the way to ammarnäs (3/4 of the way) and we used it for breakfast, lunch and dinner. You can buy new ones at every hut you pass. Have fun on the trail😊
What kind of glasses does he wear in the interview? Warfarer with a tree inside? REALLY COOL!
and BTW- I love how the girl swears :D
We´re sorry to say that we have no idea what brand those glasses are! ;-D They´re a really cheap pair of glasses anyways! :-D Haha! And thank you for approving of my swearing! ;-D
Very nice film, love your dog :)
Planning this summerto hike on the kungdsleden. Can you tell me at 12:32, what those shoes are? they look stable.
Thank you! We love her too, she's awesome😆 Those shoes are from a Swedish brand called Lundhags, the name is Professional II. Don't know where to get theme outside Sweden though! My spouse love those shoes! 😊
Awsome video guy's ..
Getting into multi day hiking myself .. I was just wondering what kind and or what make and model backpacks were you using .. and if you would change anything gear wise?
Cheers from Holland
maybe I missed it - but when did you guys do the hike? what dates? great video btw :-)
Great video. What month(s) was this?
Thanks! It was July!
How much did your packs weigh?
If it wouldn´t be that long to Abisko...
But it is definetly on my bucktelist.
It´s not that far, it´s just at the farthest north of the planet... ;-P No really, it´s not that difficult to get there, a plane to stockholm than the night train to abisko. Easy peasy:)
i have a dog and i go on trails with him but i never alowed him to sleep in bed in shelters or in trains. i am shure dogo is clean but stil it is not ok for dog to sleep in beds in places like shelters, trains and similar.. othervise nice video.. cheers
Blir nog sjukt fint i September, önskar dig all lycka till!:)
Elin Nordlander tackar👍🏻😁
I wished the subtitled weren't hardcoded. I could practice my Swedish with this.
igel789 haha, sorry! 😆 You would only have learned curse words anyways... 😂
Such a fantastic video! Brought back so many memories of my trek in 2016. I didn’t get to do south of Jackvik but your clips have really given me the bug for that now (apart from the mosi’s). Interestingly my mat blew up the same way and I spent a few nights balancing precariously! Fortunately the kind people at Exped replaced it! Thanks again for the video!!! (technicaljon.wordpress.com if interested)
Jon Selby thank you so much! Since I love hiking I also love watching hiking vids😊 Haha! No way? Maybe exped is not that trustworthy as we think? Nice they replaced it anyways😁 yeah you have to go back and do the rest my favorite part was actually that last stage between Ammarnäs and Hemavan😊 have a good one!
Fin film. Men skippa den jä....la musiken !!!!!!
Nice video, but why do you hav to say fucking al the time?
