Totally agree on picking up the trash, do it all the time, sad part is we shouldn't have to!! That's why we film, the memories, I know my dog will be gone at some point and I want the footage and memories, who cares what anybody else says. If people enjoy it great; if not they don't have to watch. Keep it up.
Thank you for taking me along with you on the pheasant hunt did a lot of pheasant and quail hunting in northern California handicap now and on oxygen 24 a day I'm only 79 yo I'd sure like to get out and hunt again started young at 11 yo with a single shot 410 got good with it too 😁 thanks again
@@JoeNotso-o4h thank you for watching, I too started out with a 410! It was a bolt action my dad got me, from there I went to my brothers 16ga pump then always a 12ga after that. No better place to spend time then in the uplands with dogs 😁
When i remember back on past hunts its almost never about the birds i shot or missed, it's almost always has to do with something my dog has done. Shadow was a hyperactive chocolate lab who hunted at full speed all the time! But he was a terrible family pet. I just couldn't get him calmed down in the house. But put him in the fields hunting pheasant and quail, and he was a beast. Like you said how that one hunt was one of your most memorable ones and you never even pulled the trigger! Yep, Shadow was a knucklehead, but i sure do miss him.😢
Each and everyone of them have their own personality for sure, Ace has been the tough one for me. They sure do leave their mark though when they pass I agree ❤️.
I envy what you get out of your dog, I can tell how much time you put in its very clear and fun to watch. I keep moving forward the best I can, no mentors really but I do have my own relationship with the dogs and I’m happy with how we work together, but I do know there’s room for improvement for sure.
@timwagenmanuplandadventure8270 you are doing fine.....it's obvious you worked on retrieving. I believe any issues you have is because you have 3 dogs down at once. That leads to more kaos.....🤣🤣🤣
@@outdoorrn2980 you are right, but it’s my goal to have all 3 working together at the same time. Shilo and Olly get it, but I may have to do some 1 on 1 with Ace. He’s competitive for sure.
Tim thanks for treating us to some great hunting with top notch dog work. Though I hunt with a lab I absolutely enjoy the pointers just as much. Great looking late season cover. Heading back out to SD this Saturday again and can’t wait.
Very nice video. I very much appreciated your out-tro. I really wished that I would have had a camera when Esau was alive and hunting. Your videos have encouraged me to make videos of hunts, not for the birds, but for the dogs.
Thank you, I wish I was doing videos when my lab Jake was alive, I miss that dog every day. If you have any video questions email me at the email connected with my page, would love to share any tips that might help you, thanks.
Another great video, Tim. When I grow up, I wanna be just like you. LoL. Great dog work, great retrieves, and some really good shooting. Some major weather changes. I love hunting in the snow. Would love to go back again, but unfortunately, it'll be next fall.
The snow was nice, hopefully it won’t snow like last year though, the birds and all wildlife for that matter need a break. Been a nice mild Fall / early Winter so far.
Another great one for the archives brother,( i video my hunts for same reason to go back and relive the hunts and the pups) Ace is a wildman sometimes, Oliver and Shilo did awesome as usuall
Ace is really hot and cold, when he’s on? Man he’s on…..when he’s out for himself? He’s definitely out for himself, but I have a lot of hope for him, it’s the difficult ones that often rise up! He’s young 😎
Do you keep your GoPro running during your entire hunt then edit out the time between shots? I just returned from SD last week and found the late season pheasants wouldn’t hold long enough for my dog on point or wouldn’t hold at all. Most of my shots were just wild flushes. My pointer is very steady and I kept him within 30 yds most of the time.
Using the Garmin 550 Pro but I’m thinking about getting the Alpha 300, I really like the 550 and won’t get rid of it but knowing a dog is on point without having to toggle between collars would be nice especially in thick cover and cattails.

Awesome video and dog work. Thank you for taking the time to document and share!
Thank you, thanks for watching!
We can ponder and treasure each day in the field with our dogs in our hearts... thanks once again for sharing the hunting of memories and moments
Thank you 😊

I love it , I want to spend the rest of my life in the praries ❤
I wish I could, what a great life that would be ❤️
Another great video Tim! Keep up the good work!
Thanks!
This video surely captured a memorable time. Great hunt with lots great dog work!
Thank you Ron 😎
Nice.😁 When I can't be there myself with the dog, I get some good hunting from the recliner with your footage. 🤣🤣🤣👍

Hi Steve, yes I keep it running. I often turn it on and off though to keep the clips somewhat short then edit later.

Hey Tim. What collar system is that your using?

Are you using the watch that can go with it?
@@dustinwalls2898 I don’t have the watch but it’s on the wish list for sure.
Love the videos. Thanks
