Mr Dele farotimi is a man full of wisdom and knowledge of the Nigeria society i can't be tired listening to him have been learning a lot from him since i started listening to his words of wisdom and history of the Nigeria trajectory
Totally agree with you ...Mr Dele Farotimi. Very very well said ......I hope and pray that our people will truly pick their own side and fight. For it.....
I’ve gone through the comment session and it will be interesting to see that majority supports the position of uncle Dele on the topic, no one is seemingly offended by it because we are not election in season yet. Wait till election season comes and you will see people return to their “excretes” like the proverbial dog. The selective amnesia sets in and people will take sides with either Wike or Sim’s camp rather than to “pick their own side” and find people with common interests and displace the current order. How I wish Nigerians can truly fine common interests in their struggle and pick their on side!
Brother Dele, I agree. My own side is for the entire constitution to be rewritten. I know it won’t happen under Tinubu’s illegitimate government, but rewriting that nonsense constitution should be our core mission.
Thank you sir for a wonderful sermon. Always looking forward to ur sunday service. Writing from berlin,Germany wish my country will change for the better
With due respect, I am very sure Mr. Farotimi is aware that most of the listeners here must have heard about the Maslow hierarchy of needs where what to eat, drink, wear, and where to call one's home are basic necessities. This first step is a must have and nonnegotiable. Life goes beyond first, second or even any hierarchy of needs, but some needs are necessities. We could fault the system, we could blame some leaders/politicians, but we should not ignore the fact that some if not many people, citizens or individuals are looking for ways to "cash in" from these sad and disappointing situations. By the acts, actions and utterances we shall know them.
If you refuse to say anything that is, if you are silent, they will use what some or others are saying which sometimes do not meet a certain reality. And if you speak they will use your words or message in a way that may not conform to what you are trying to achieve with the talk or speech. Any other person experiencing this? But who are these "they"?
“Learn to think beyond what you’d eat or drink” very well said Sir, but the Nigerian common wealth bandits has reduced the average Nigerian citizens mind to be completely preoccupied with those things
Sir, my support for Sim is based on the fact that Wike as a monster must leave the center stage, and as corrupt as the system that brought Sim to power, we cannot at this point pass any judgement to him without first giving him the benefits of the doubts. However, for the fact that he is having this banter with Wike could mean that he may not has subscribed to the sharing of Rivers common wealth- I stand to be corrected. #Wikemustfall
The following below that people think are the problems of Nigeria are just symptoms: Tribalism ,Corruption, Ignorance Poverty, Religious extremism & manipulation Bad constitution Criminal minded politicians. Our only problem is LACK OF FOUNDATION. we've built a house housing the largest number of black people on earth without a foundation. It's either everybody gets out when they still can and become their own nations. Or everybody gets our, demolish the house without foundation and build the foundation with a floor plan to erect a house that will house everyone to their own comfort because everyone is included in the plan. Foundation I mean is ONE IDEOLOGY DEFINING A NIGERIAN. Every successful nation have their ideology and Worldview a set of standards, culture, taboo, priorities they hsve all agreed to abide and this ideology is put down into the constitution to make it a law binding upon every man or woman irrespective of status. This is how set of tribes, even a country becomes a nation and nations birth true patriots and active citizens who values fights and can die to advance their nations interest, just as an igbo, yoruba, hausa can die happily fighting off existential that threatens his people. But very few will be willing to do the same to defend Nigeria because no tribe sees Nigeria as their own, it belongs to everybody therefore it belongs to know one, nationhood birth citizens who become one with the nation to bring it alive. Just like we say I AM IGBO, YORUBA ETC How do we become a nation then? By sincerely asking ourselves do we still want to live together as one people in unity peace and progress? If yes then the norms binding us and consequences will be articulated by the smartest representative of every tribe in nigeria even the tribe that are 2 in number must be represented equally with more populated tribes if its a year that compromise is finally reached, we go, if one tribe vetoes any fundamental norm it must be renegotiated until compromise is reached. No tribe will have more than 3 representative it must be equal representation. After this the whole representative will genuinely vote on it, no rigging if it's 50:50 or 60:40 it must be redone again until 70:30 compromise is reached. And the 30% who voteod aģain askeď if they are ready to accept the consitution or on their own they until they say yes till they can be included & given written assurance to protect their interest. This is how foundation for a nation is built. No politician will be willing to genuinely do this it will always be whitewashed constitution and confab chosen by the person in power who dictates 70% of things in the so called peoples constitution.
DF,what's the context of your own support for obi that's on his way back to the PDP, that he called a structure of criminality, what's happening in rivers and the meeting between obi and atiku just shows that the political class are one and same,,,no matter the name you call them there are no saints amongst them
Uncle Dele you are a gift to this generation. May your days be long. You said it all. Stay blessed.
Dele Farotimi can make a very sweet good poem of this country. He knows this country very well and he said it right about Wike and Fubara
A quarrel steeped in spoil. Two fighting hyenas fighting themselves to the death over a kill. That's all it is.
Spectacular, didactic, enlightening and stirring. As usual, great thanks Dele.

God bless you my brother for slapping many back into reality.

Good morning Sir!
Pay attention Rivers citizens
We must never die in their war
Man, you're too much. You understand their games very well. Both are the same, unless with their war things might work for the people.
