A lot of professional singers started doing background singing, so I'm not surprised she was a backup singer for Celine Dion. To even share the stage with someone of that caliber, means you already have the vocal chops to succeed in the spotlight. Angie Stone, Lisa Fischer, and even the great Whitney Houston herself, all did background singing. I'm glad that Celine recognized her talent and encouraged her to pursue her dream.

Deborah Cox is from Country Canada. And R&B legend. Does anyone remember when Deborah Cox would played Whitney in the Broadway play. Or did her cover songs or something like that. Because Clive Davis asked her to as A tribute to Whitney Houston or something like that. Deborah, Cox and Whitney were both signed to Clyde Davis's arista records. And both lived in Miami and were close friends. Deborah Cox brought Whitney Houston up to Toronto, Canada to perform. I remember when Whitney was on much music and was on CBC and she was grilling the journalist on CBC. That white woman was pretty rude to her though. Whitney did have attitude. She was so real though Miss Whitney. Somebody give Deborah Cox a 20 already. I know she was nominated.
