What a pleasure to have one lonely farmer in the UK. A man truly welcome. Sorry about the weather lol. To us it's a lovely day lol . Welcome hope you had a great time.👍👍👍👍👍
Hi Wes, it was nice to meet you on Saturday. I still can't believe you came just for the day it is crazy. You should definitely come for the Christmas tractor run that would be amazing 😊
Was a great event an really nice to meet you Wes 👍 you made my day when you said English houses were the colour of calf shit 🙄😳🤣🤣 as someone from Scotland 🏴 that was hilarious 😆
The Doe was designed/dreamed up by George Pryor, a farmer from Essex...Ernest Doe & Sons was and still is an agricultural dealer who refined the idea & built it...when Ford started building it's own 4x4 tractors it kinda killed the Doe!
I have a 1968 ford 5000 it’s British built but a British model too. Fenders are different and the grille compared to the American ford 5000. Great tour of the old tractors 👍🇨🇦
Hey Wes. The nicest tandem setup I've ever seen was Don Dufner out of North Dakota. He tied three 830 John Deeres together and mounted a Sound Gard cab on the center tractor.
Very nice, we had a new Doe 130 imported to our farm in the late 60's (South Africa) it works hard and wonderful in hard red soil with a 4 and 5 bottom plow.
Cracking video made all the better for being at the event and seeing back Saturdays great turn out ! Loved the return journey in the 4955 😂. Great to have met again and see you at Lamma!
First Ford (Doe) I've seen. Others out there (farmer builds) are two side by side Farmall Hs and another AC WDs, linear like this Farmall Ms or Hs. Might be a Farmall cub side by side pair out there. RUclips videos on the Farmall Hs side by side. Related in fun factor" AC B, AC WD, and Farmall H with engine swaps for Harbor Freight Predator Engines (8 and 12HP). They are out brush hogging, raking, and more activities.
No David Browns ? What a great trip I’m glad you could get away and see old and new friends. Appreciate you bringing us along. We had some county tractors in Northern NY. We’ve got several David Brown 990’s and a 1210 fwd badged case it was the changeover year. Got a 1938 John Deere unstyled L in the barn my grandfather bought New . Never stall it a bugger to crank to start after being warm.
would be super cool to see that doe130 doing some field work just last week i think it was larson farms had a 300 hrs combine throw rods out the engine
Can't believe you said your not a Ford guy Wes when it comes to tractors. That's all we ever used in Florida for over forty years. Except grandad's 1930s johnny pop. Best tractors made at the time.
I love seeing you over the UK when you're with Kurt in George and just so you know DAF is paccar, their engine's can be found in our kenworths and peterbilts with the 455 and 510 models. take care Wes. is love to send your dad some rocks from ns Canada 🇨🇦 😂😂😂
There were a number of Ford Tractor modifiers and enhancers in Europe. County, Roadless etc. The County tractors have been valued as beach tractors to launch boats off the beach with. DAF trucks are part of Paccar - in the KW & Peterbilt team.
I've seen a few homemade renditions of the Dole tractor here in the states as well, none done as well as that thing. He must have quite a few hours in the restoration, it definitely shows.
My Grandma who farmed. On every trip she took she would always pick up a rock were ever she stopped. She passed and I got about 100lbs of rocks for all across the US and Southern Canada
Next time you're over the pond take the time to go to the DeHavilland aircraft museum in Hertfordshire...you'll be glad you did. Laughed my arse off when you said wankers lol😂.
WOW traveling! Fall Winter there now. Driving on the wrong side too. So cool for you. Our son lived in the UK for 4 years in the military. Looks like a good fun trip. When are you coming to Chile? Jim
Tractors and motorcycles will kill you because it is so easy to forget and go into the right lane, cars not so much because it feels wrong with the right hand drive.
They did for awhile. The A-C dealer who used to be in Quakertown, PA (CJ Wonsidler Bros.) had an ED-40 they used to maintain the property. Allis imported some for a few years before the Renault-built 160 came about. That one is the only ED-40 I've ever seen. I don't know where it went after the family liquidated at auction what was left after Charlie and Jett had both passed.
I was on liberty in the navy spent a few days in England. Good thing I didn’t drive and all the taxis I was in I was drunk. I sure would have piled the car up driving on the wrong side.
Have you met the guy who has “Harry’s Farm” and Harry’s Garage” on RUclips. He’s also in England. In 1978 my parents and I went on a Successful Farming European tour. First stop was England. I was 11 years old. I’ve been to Australia in 85, 4 months,, 99, 13 days, and 02, 8 weeks. Most of it on my late dad’s farm. I adapted to driving on the left fairly well. My first girlfriend i met on an Outback Bus tour to Alice Springs and back in 1985. Really nice mellow gal. After fooling around like teenagers we discovered that the relationship had no spark. One stop was to Ayer’s Rock which we climbed. She and I were the last of our group to go up and a rain shower came out of nowhere and got us wet after reaching the top. It was windy and the rock got slippery. I got pictures and the rock looked like velvet. I need to find those pictures.
An American, who does farming with German tractors, travels to England to do farming with American and British tractors... 🤔🤣 Have a great time there West !! 👍
I’ve never seen so much hate on a very interesting video. I learned so much for this video and I love seeing what ppl do on the other side of the pond! Let the man live his life how he wants. It’s his life and his money. Let him do what makes him happy
That's a great video Wes, but do me a favour..can you edit me out?.. I'm the fat guy on the steps and I cannot believe how huge I look..they say the camera adds 10lbs..in my case I think it's added 200!!!😂😂😂😂
Sorry but the crops don’t pay the bills standing out in the field. Number one rule of farming is to run hard when conditions are good. But if you rather RUclips than farm…🤷♂️
Do you live in his area? Maybe his corns wet. Maybe it’s raining? He also has a wife who farms. A son n nephews who work for him. His last video time was combining. So I think he’ll be perfectly fine…. Plus his bin is full of soybeans so can’t really have much room for storage for corn. Even when he said he’s only there for 2 days
well to be quite honest with you it was a hard choice to do.. I left Friday night after delivering soybeans to the port among other jobs that I had completed. I was back Monday morning 2:30 AM and in the truck at 7 am to deliver 2 more loads of soybeans. my bin is full the remainder of the beans that are not cut where too wet to cut at that time. the corn is 24 moisture and I have no place to put it so im not paying ungodly amounts to dry it and im not giving it away to the mill to dry so I decided to give the boys the weekend off and enjoy two days... my wife planted 45 acres of wheat on Saturday and on Sunday she completed an embroidery job for a local grocery store. not that this is any of your business and I do not care what you think of me taking two days to see a couple of friends. if we had rain for a day we wouldn't have been able to do anything for 3-4 days if we had a breakdown that would take days to get going but because I took a trip for 2 days you feel I was stupid and did some shit wrong. well I guess it sucks to be you! we have been going hard all summer long. I took a day to go to a farm show... I took a night to go camping with the family but made it home to work the rest of the day. I work every weekend and holiday including my birthday and you complain I took two days to go and see some friends. please unsubscribe from my Channel if you think im lazy and irresponsible. oh and P.S. go fuck yourself!
so I make money on RUclips right! and I use that money most to do projects around the farm. ive bought houses and and flew my mother in law around the world many times to be here and see her grandson and now we use it to keep my wife sister alive as she is on dialysis... I did this trip for just over $1000.00 dollars I used my RUclips money to do this. I will make that much back on the videos I make from this trip and other footage I did. plus I have the memories that you nor anyone else can take away from me. farming sucks right now and yes there is no money to be made in it at the moment. that's why I have different income streams that I keep separate. for ME and my family to have some sort of a life outside the farm. its not much but I do try so very hard and cunts like you try to bring me and others down for it.
Was a great day and lovely to meet you and listen to your stories in the evening !
You're a talented creator, no joke!
What a pleasure to have one lonely farmer in the UK. A man truly welcome. Sorry about the weather lol. To us it's a lovely day lol . Welcome hope you had a great time.👍👍👍👍👍
Now this is my day better!
Hi Wes, it was nice to meet you on Saturday. I still can't believe you came just for the day it is crazy. You should definitely come for the Christmas tractor run that would be amazing 😊
I have a 1967 5000 just like the doe they are 67hp. The greatest farm tractor ever made!!!!

This was a great video. Wes thoroughly enjoyed it. It was nice to see you having a well-deserved break.
Welcome to the UK Wes , hope you have a great time , all the best from a UK Fan 👍🇬🇧🇺🇸
George Prior made the 1st one!, he wanted a 100hp + tractor on his heavy essex clay soil! Ernest Doe saw it & took it on.. this was the early 1950's
That was fun!
As an aside, I watched 10 ads, to completion, to subsidize your trip. Just doin my part!👍👍
Neat tractors.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts, ideas and videos. Hope you had a great time. Wishing you and your family the best.
Them Ford's are a very clean and well thought set up.

Lol! I’ll see about bringing mine to Lord Mucks day next year… might stick my 880 on a trailer lol
Brilliant! 👍
It wud b easier nowadays to make a doe with modern tractors with electronic gear boxes and the like.
Interesting stuff Wes, thanks for the trip! Good to see you out and about!
Was great to meet you Wes, my dad and I loved your stories. New subscriber here
Great seeing the footage of the surprise trip over to see Kurt and George.
Hello my friend Good to see you here regards Alan and Ella.
Thanks Farmer For taking us along❤
👍👍That seemed like a lot of fun

You look good in that 9380 quad, the N14 Cummins really bark. You can get one with a PTO that would Yank a baler pretty good! Haha
I've seen a few homemade renditions of the Dole tractor here in the states as well, none done as well as that thing. He must have quite a few hours in the restoration, it definitely shows.
That is super cool
George Prior was the farmer behind the Doe tractor
👍🏻🍻
Keep it between the lines, Wes!!!😂😂😂
My Grandma who farmed. On every trip she took she would always pick up a rock were ever she stopped. She passed and I got about 100lbs of rocks for all across the US and Southern Canada
Ford sold skid units to Doe,County,Roadless,Muirhill
Good morning my friend
That double Ford twin engine is cool looking
Next time you're over the pond take the time to go to the DeHavilland aircraft museum in Hertfordshire...you'll be glad you did. Laughed my arse off when you said wankers lol😂.
Hope you have a great time 🎉
Thanks Wes, this was quite a break from the usual farm life.
👍👍😊
WOW traveling!
Fall Winter there now. Driving on the wrong side too.
So cool for you.
Our son lived in the UK for 4 years in the military. Looks like a good fun trip.
When are you coming to Chile? Jim
I wish I was filming muck when you pulled up that look was priceless same with Liz
You’ve got a good camera there Wesley👍
Doe two 5000s gives you 150hp if they were a late type , Farmer named Mr Prior had the original idea and took it to his local dealer Doe’s
That isn't too bad to fly and the car . Glad you surprised your buddies.
Were you starting to say you got rid of the 4960? Seemed like you started to say something about it then something else came up
Ahh but at least the steering wheel is on the right side of the car
Trust me, there are speed cameras, average speed cameras, and just plain camera, cameras !
Very interesting.
Welcome to the UK
Great video wes cheers
Welcome tothis side of the pond
Good video.
In Sweden there is a tamden JD 4440!
Having you there Wes made my day 😉
@@LordMuck it made my day to come and be a part of it. Not one regret for the whole trip.
Huntington road nice. I live on Huntington road.
In British Columbia 😂
Their driving is the same on the island of Bermuda, which is England anyway
DAF is a Paccar owned company
the doe was a contractors machine
Did you sell the 4955?
No he still has it. It’s the one he rebuilt when it burned
Tractors and motorcycles will kill you because it is so easy to forget and go into the right lane, cars not so much because it feels wrong with the right hand drive.
That fella with the vape was a bit of nuisance with all that steam
DAF is Dutch, from Eindhoven.
A lot of fender-less front wheels over there in mud Country...
Are David browns popular over there?
Plenty around here in the UK - plenty on my channel too
I have a 1594 and 1690 case in Wisconsin.,love them little tractors
@ I have one of the last 1594’s built there’s videos of it on my channel along with my 880 and 950
Think Allis Chalmers built tractors in England way back when. 40s and 50s.
They did for awhile. The A-C dealer who used to be in Quakertown, PA (CJ Wonsidler Bros.) had an ED-40 they used to maintain the property. Allis imported some for a few years before the Renault-built 160 came about. That one is the only ED-40 I've ever seen. @839Unipicker Thank you for your reply.
does tandem tractor complete story
2 x Ford 5000 older models, 1969.
There is a like the doe 130 ford but a jd 4440 in Sweden 🇸🇪
I was on liberty in the navy spent a few days in England. Good thing I didn’t drive and all the taxis I was in I was drunk. I sure would have piled the car up driving on the wrong side.
Wes, you started a story about your 4960 and that you don't have it anymore?
When it burned I think he changed it so it's technically not a 4960 but 4955 setup. Something like that anyway basically the same thing 😂
Yep you were in the Philippines at the time.
Drive on the left.

Have a great time there West !! 👍
Make “ok so” great again!!!!!
“Ok so” counter-0
The front should be doe. The rear The buck! That makes sense?
there is a vlog on the story of ernist doe and ford how it all come about

no sir I thought you looked good...
You wouldn't be saying the same thing about Brampton ontario.
The English DO play like that ! beware he either means it or is on his phone.
What kind of farmer goes on vacation in the middle of harvest. 🤔
A smart one that has a little life outside of farming .
