@@Polentaccio Every kiddo has their thing! Our son turned 5 a few months ago. He really began thriving with drawing earlier this year when we began offering him instructional drawing videos on RUclips, so this is a pretty recent thing. Maybe your kiddo would enjoy trying something like that out :)

Yes, that was a major unexpected upgrade for me. I always had a mic stand but because the desk area went up to the wall, I had to place the stand on the far side of the keyboard which made it top heavy and fall into my face regularly haha. This setup is much much better. I wish I had this boom arm long ago.

That's a super cool setup! I've seen a few people say they like those iLouds. Also, Iron Man all the way. He's by faaaar the best Avenger. Jack's artwork is amazing!
When you showed legacy footage of the old setup at 1:52 I thought she'd have a youtube channel too but there are no links in the description :( If she indeed doesn't have a channel, please consider starting one or doing some songwriting videos together on this channel maybe?
Also, looking at the way she's using kontakt at 5:33, I reckon Komplete Kontrol would be a way better fit. Both as software as well as the keyboard. But I guess the current keyboard has it's perks too so you can just start with the software (is free at NI's website) as the engine instead of Kontakt so you can just go through presets rather than opening and closing instruments in the rack. Alternatively, get used to dragging and dropping presets on the open instruments in the kontakt rack so they replace one and other ;)

interesting. i do love the concept, but as a producer mainly, i think in the end, i always spend more time at the computer than at the keyboard (editing, arranging, mixing, etc.) and wonder if with this setup, it would start to get uncomfortable being mainly at the computer for longer periods of time?
or if alternatively, there is some sort of cover, or something to put over the piano, to be able to put computer mouse and keyboard there?
because i really do like the minimalism of this setup

Quick question though. Looking at a couple of 2-tier keyboard stands recently and noticed that you started with the Z shaped one. I was leaning toward getting that one because of how sturdy and rigid it looks as opposed to the one you settled on, but from the video, you seem to indicate that the new one is stronger. Aside from the lack of parallel second tier, what were the other negatives of the Z style one?
That wasn’t a z styled keyboard stand. That was a decapitated studio desk. The height of the main desk and the second tier didn’t work for any of us.

Hey Andrew, love the content and never miss a video. Can you tell the the best AC for a smaller studio space? I always see those small ones people have up on the wall but don’t know what it’s called.
I think the best option is the ductless minisplit for small rooms! Not an hvac expert at all though.

Draw for at least a half an hour or better everyday, and your skills will continue to get better. Your already a pretty good artist. The dinosaur had me running from the phone. Smiling. I think Captain America might be a good Halloween costume if you celebrate that.

Of course, the monitores are not well respected. The i-loud speakers are a very good choise for little notebook studio soulutions. I have them on smal desk mikrofone stands. In combination with the i-rog pro duo interface you can take your studio everywere, on the road. The ik-multimedia products are so smal and easy to transport. You also can use your android smartphone to record with the i-rig interface in stereo. Big solution. Love, peace and harmony Bernward
