Zero commercial advertisement is good indeed. I remember, in Sweden there's zero commercial advertisement on TV as well.Anyway, North Korea deserves more tourists coming in to see the nation as it is, as it was labeled 'most harmonious nation' in the world; especially with the decades-old U.S. and Western sanctions which caused over a million N. Koreans deaths in starvation in the past. I like to see peace and prosperity that the country richly deserves. blog.chinadaily.com.cn/forum.php?mod=viewthread&tid=785423

The subway look nice but the tourists are only allowed in 2 stations..... What other country tourists are not allowed to talk to ordinary citizen ! ! ?? pyongyang is a very spread out city. it has alot of people but they are not usually concentrated in one area at one time. north korea's population also took a massive hit when the US blockaded north korea after the fall of the USSR and they suddenly could not feed their country for a few years, even today the government tries to squeeze as much food out of the limited farmland available in the country as they can and they still can't quite get to everyone.

Apparently they wanted to see an archetypical English village so the coach to Bicester Village (where they *really* want to go - there are Chinese websites devoted to the place) stopped in humble Kidlington (nice enough but hardly a place of note) and they all got off and started photographing the place. ichigo73186 pssst! Let me help you with your job. Non-North Koreans don’t call NK “DPRK.” That’s only something North Koreans do. Next time you wanna pretend to not be a NK gov employee, call it simply. North Korea.
      You’re English is good though!

You realize you're only seeing what the NK government wants you to see, right? Why do you think tourists are only allowed to visit pre-approved locations while being escorted at all times by guides? This is a facade. North Korea is a poverty-stricken country ruled by a dictator.

I honestly think NK has potential to be a pleasant country. I know they only let you see what they want you to see, but just think about what it would be like if they put this much effort into the rest of the country. They don't have to be like the rest of the world to be a decent country.

They don't need to check your memory drives because you were controlled the entire time. Everything you could have possibly filmed has already been pre-approved to create a positive PR image of North Korea. It's not like you were able to leave the city and go visit some provincial villages.
