The blue metallic paint that comes on the Ella doll is literally the exact same paint Colour Reveal did five waves ago. Barbie DOES usually have really swirly pretty paint, but the silver on this series isn't the best.
Oh good I think your Barbie will have rooted hair. I def would pick Barbie over Dream Ella. Ugh that sucks a dupe 🤦🏻♀️😭🤗 the first ones were wigs and some have awful hair extensions. The mermaid 🧜♀️ ones have a teal metallic paint and rooted hair. 👍👍👍
The only one that I’m slightly interested in is the Ken that’s supposed to come out soon but that’s only after a sale & if he matches a made to move. Could be a great bf to one of my other kens. As for Ella, as much as I love the fact that it’s poking fun at Barbie, I’m good. Great review!
It's too bad you couldn't get a series 1 or 2 Barbie. Those are the ones with the bad wigs. I think the one you got is most recent. Thanks for mentioning that their hair is nylon. I hate when Barbie has nylon hair and I almost thought about getting one of these just because the hair isn't a wig or a stick-on ponytail this time.
We love unbiased reviews! I see good and bad in both of them. But I do feel like for a proper fair comparison someone would need to compare Ella with an earlier version of Barbie Color Reveal that comes with a wig

They do have Barbie color travel dolls with wigs but only the mermaid and these confetti reaver dolls have real hair
