At first, being an audio guy, I was like “why is there no room mic/ambience in this” it’s just super direct mics in this big room… BUT THEN I was like “wait… all that I’m hearing is THE BAND… in their raw and purest form… no polish - and they’re KILLING IT!!” I freaking love this!!!❤❤❤ 🤘🏻🤓👍🏻
They are very good live. My wife and I have seen them twice, and that was in 2018 and 2019, so I'm sure they are only improving more and more since we saw them.
The beaches live performances = tight like a tiger. No, it's even tighter than that. What's tighter than a tiger? A sabre-tooth tiger? Like a SPIDER-MONKEY!
Sure.
But the sound is weirdly dry when filtering out background sounds - it gets an artificial ambience and sometimes it sounds slightly flat, which I wouldn't have noticed with natural live noise.
I would actually have preferred added fake live noise compared to this sound.
I really like this song, so I would have loved a live version that also sounded live

Saw them live in October. Outstanding live band. I was really blown away by their energy. It was a great night.

I moved to Toronto in 2019 and heard Want what you got on Indie88, was absolutely hooked ever since. Every song is an absolute banger. There 1st album and 2 EP's gave me something new to listen to through covid so I could interchange with Arctic Monkeys and Royal Blood. Always wondered why they weren't bigger. Canada has way of hiding bands from the rest of the world. So glad they are getting bigger now. I moved back to London and felt lucky to see them play the Outernet, never thought i'd get a chance when i moved back!

My biggest crush of 2023. Great piece of rock, great performance, awesome lead guitar line, bass line and melody. I don't blame Brett at all, because without the inspiration of his stupidity this gem might not have seen the light of day :)

I can't decide who my favorite musician is. The drummer is clearly amazing. I like listening to the guitar and trying to figure out who's playing what, I love both their styles. And the singer on bass, pulls in your attention in more ways than one. Who's your favorite?

I saw them at a smallish venue in BC without EVER hearing their songs before and was captivated by each and every one of them. First Jordan the lead singer, but I eventually decided Leandra on guitar and keyboard is my all around fav
As a gay woman I simp for Leandra lol but i am also a vocalist and bassist myself so i can appreciate Jordan for her talent. They're all so talented, and that's coming from a classically trained musician
Don’t think I could pick, honestly. First time I saw them was in Dec. 2019 opening for Taking Back Sunday and I had no idea who they were, but they opened the show with “Back of my Heart” and I was like “uhmm okay, they’re gonna steal this whole show aren’t they?” At first I thought Kylie was my favorite because of her stage presence and back up vocals, then I thought Jordan was my favorite because holy shit what a voice, then I thought Leandra was my favorite because she’s playing guitar/keys/cowbell/backing vocals and doing high kicks, then I thought Eliza was my favorite because she’s such a solid, Ringo Starr-esque drummer. And I met Le and Jordan after the show and they were so nice. It’s really been amazing to watch them build up so much momentum & attention over the last couple of years.

Nailed it. Killed it. Skinned it and turned it into a nice pair of comfy slippers. The only thing I would change is to put more oomph on the HEY! bit at the end of the verse.

Do I see this correctly ... the audience is SITTING? Not standing, not jumping, not dancing, not completely freaking out and losing their minds but rather sitting? Now I really don't have to be sad anymore that I couldn't get a ticket for your concert in Berlin. That is such a waste, your music is made for rock festivals, not for such a lame club where you have to sit and be quiete.
Saw them in a tiny room in Copenhagen a few weeks ago - sold out crowd, everyone was going crazy! If you bring the energy, the band always does the rest ❤
