I can’t wait I’m really hoping to get on some good ones that I didn’t get last year. September 15th here is opening archery and it can’t get here fast enough.
Bought these and I could not get them between my crossbow limbs, I cut them out like you showed but I still could not get them in. So I ended up cutting them in half and then put them in place.
@@bluecollaroutdoors5556 No worries. If it turns out to be specifically related to the dampeners, please let us know. I'm looking to put some on my wife's crossbow.

I have the Bojax dampeners. It says to mount them two inches from the riser. Wouldn’t moving them closer to the cams make them absorb more vibration? Like a tuning fork, wouldn’t there be more vibration near the cams than the riser?
Usually, with most vibration dampening methods (with bows, at least), you lose about 5fps. If you combine 3 or more effective methods, you would lose 15-20fps, but the resulting sound would be around 10-15db quieter, which is a reduction by more than half (each 10db is a double in volume. It's logarithmic).
In the end, I don’t think the goal of quieting the crossbow is really worth the time and money. There, I said it. I know that’s an idea that goes against the grain for some, But some of the rules for vertical bows do not compare exactly to crossbows. If your experience is only with vertical bows and that’s where you have learned all of your information, You will get a couple of surprises when it comes to a crossbow. There are no silent crossbows. There are some that are quieter than others, but I can guarantee that all of them are much quieter than a 30 caliber rifle. Crossbows will never be as quiet as a vertical bow. It won’t happen! If it’s your aim to use heavier arrows for either penetration or accuracy, That is a far more worthy cause. To date, The noise of my crossbow has never seemed to affect my chance at harvesting a deer. Since my first time hunting with the crossbow, I have been able to harvest more deer. All the accessories out there will not make your crossbow quieter than any vertical bow. It’s not close. That being said alone, is it truly worth it? For those who say that quieter is better for close Range shots? Modern crossbows of 400 ft./s and more our fast enough where it would be extremely difficult for any deer to get out of the way on a shot of 30 yards or less. I have a crossbow producing over 500 ft./s. If there is a deer that can get out of the way of that arrow on a shot less than 50 yards I want to see it. Just saying.
I just added some to my white tail hunter xtr400 yesterday and i did notice the bolts dropped alot, so yea i think it does slow it down quite a bit!! Instead of 370fps it may be hitting closer to 350!
Thank you very much!! Awesome video and I had no idea such products existed. 👏💖
I will most certainly look into getting some for my Bear X Trek.
Great video n ingenuity to make it fit save money 💰 nn match your bow color choices Sweet Continued Success 😎🇺🇸
Thanks for the info sr. I will try this on my cross bow. Man hunting season is right around the corner. 😁

Definitely can hear the difference sir great video thx for sharing.
slows your bow down if you put to much shit on it FACTS
Clever idea, I have a Cold Steel Cheap Shot 130 crossbow!

I just bought the exact same bow, and the green ones as well.. I wish they came in orange
Sting tried to jump the stops on the shot with the dampeners. Might wanna keep an eye on that.
Thanks Joe , good eye brother!

Hola amigo se me daño una pala de mi Barnett hypertac pro 430 sabes dónde puedo comprarla xf
What's on the scope?
would the sound improve if i put 4 of em on?
Think it might help with wear. So just for the fact it could be easier on the hardware, it's a go.
Thanks for sharing
SLIDE THE DAMPNERS AWAY FROM THE CAMS FOR IT TO NOT SLOW THE BOW ...
So slide them away from the cams?
@@shepherdosouls8654 exactly what I said in my comment
@@cray-z7404 your comments a little jacked up man...hard to read what you was trying to say!!

How much slower you think it is with dampeners?

I got limbsaver twistlok for my V3X and all my shots are now hitting really low. I thought they had no effect on arrow speed
Anything that adds weight to your limbs will slow it down.. But you shouldn't have a very noticeable difference with a few rubber dampers installed..
That was my question also.. will u have to sight in your bow again?
I’m told that limb dampeners will slow it down. Has anyone checked this with chrony?

You can do the same thing with a series of rubber bands for free…!
Quieter but slower
