Beautiful. If you move yourself away from your limited human perception (as far as it is possible) and think about everything in fast forward as if you were watching from a timeless higher realm, you realize everything around you is in constant motion, and that the whole planet (and the whole universe) is alive. That makes me feel profoundly happy for some reason.
Why? Would you prefer if there was no life before you? The only reason we have oxygen and soil is from hundreds of millions of years of microorganisms making the world livable for animals.
Well in few centuries christianity would just possibly fade away and religion would be considered out dated and too ancient as humans continue to work out everything around them with evidence instead of thinking an entity created everything and lack any evidence of the existance of that creator.
@@rajneetkhangura1630 as of now, but you know things change and that is most likely going to happen, there are less and less people following that religion as time goes on.
"LET US MAKE A WEIRD FICTIONAL CHARACTER TO ANSWER QUESTIONS LIKE HOW MANKIND IS CREATED AND MAKE PEOPLE NOT EAT EACH OTHER OR DO WEIRD SHIT. LET'S ALSO IGNORE THE FACT THAT SCIENCE PROVED THIS WRONG AGES AGO BECAUSE WE ARE RETARDS!" ~religious people
There are some answers for evolution, and sometimes there is not an answer. There are some answers for god, and sometimes there is not an answer. We can't explain where space came from. We can't explain that god created time or space himself because we can't explain where god came from either. Please respect other people's beliefs
Evolution explains the diversity of life, there is no debate about it's validity anymore in science. A deity is not seen as an explanation for anything. It's seen, however, as an argument from ignorance, a way to fill the blank of what we do not know. Beliefs that are not validated by empirical evidence do not deserves to be respected.
+Atharkas So according to you god doesnt exist because of there is no proof. What was before the big bang? No science doesnt know. So how can you claim that there is no god for shour if you even know whats outside our universe.
Emre Can Güner "So according to you god doesnt exist because of there is no proof." No, it means you cannot claim a god exist. You can believe one does, but belief is irrelevant to determine if something exist. "What was before the big bang?" Who knows? It has nothing to do with the figment of imagination you worship.
David Lawrence The thing is that religious people generally don't accept important scientific facts of life and generally believe in less scientific studies, and lie about what the evidence shows, so its a response to a bullshit argument. Its like if I were to say "The problem with america is all these blacks are stupid" 1.It is an illogical statement by generalizing. 2. it is harmful for the image of the black community and does not represent them in a accurate way 3. Sense the human population is gullible enough, if taught at birth 9/10 the person will agree perpetuating a false statement negatively harming society. But instead of you claiming that evolution is a fact you classify it as an opinion making it seem as credible as "Big magic man poofed everyone to existence". Which is not the case at all, evolution has way more evidence and people try and defend it so it can be taught throughout the ages so we can advance our thinking to a better ste making this country a more logically sound place than an illogical one.
Blake McLellan Thus making your point of "Just let everyone have there opinion" to this case as harming as saying to someone who believes the statement that I analyzed in the three points I have stated about it.
The background music for this is amazing! Did you compose this? I really like how it took this one chord theme and built on it, and it perfectly matched the video. Excellent job!
EndoGamics Because people in power try to force people to be incorrect, such as some American politicians trying to remove evolution from science books. This is not ok.
EndoGamics Well plenty of people believe both; like Francis Collins. It's just that jerks like Ken Ham and Kent Hovind think that evolution is a lie and teach impressionable children that science is evil if it doesn't agree with their interpretation of Genesis.
Geo07ism It is. You just dont know what you are talking about. ALOT in science is actually just specualtion and if it comes to the evolution nobody knows how life erupted. again SPECULATION
burak gs well obviously you dont understand evolution enough to argue about it. Lemme try to clear up some of your confusion, evolutionary theory isnt concerned with the origins of life, its only there to explain how life has changed over time. Abiogenisis is the theory that tries to explain how life originated from non life, and so far the evidence is looking pretty good for it. what have you got? some magic invisible man in the sky poofed everything into existence from nothing? hah.
***** "oh hes eternal!" in which case we reply with "why cant the universe be eternal?" then he replies with "but it *had* to be created!" without explaining why it *had* to and the argument will continue in a spiral of chaos until we just say he is a moron and walk away since hes irrational.
Why cant we all stop all this shit? Science is real! Okay, maybe not everything. But science, is true. What is food made of? What do plants do to make sugar? Thats science. That is what runs and drives our knowledge, and what makes us keep going. That is what is true. So, why cant people who are religious see that?
Dr.Giblier In order to understand science you have to be in a relationship with science which many are and so they discover more and more everyday from what is given in proper books. I am a Muslim and you would think I would back up god but even in our religion we have balance between science & Allah, and we respect scholars who strive to learn.
Some religious people, myself included, do see that, very clearly in fact. I just personally believe that God is the reason plants and animals work how we do.
SCIENCE IS THE MOST INTERESTING THING I'VE EVER HEARD OF. EVERYTHING IS CLEARER, I DON'T HAVE MUCH QUESTIONS. its so sad how delusional society is, WHY!!!!!!!!!! WHY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1
I get what you mean but i would rather that than being blind about it. That is why people turn to religion. For faith and something to believe in. If you need it then go to religion, but i would rather spend my life find out what is real than being bland about it.
Beyond Nero "Where are the scientific breakthroughs due to evolution?" there's too much. let me start with genetic algorithm, where scientist were able to use it to design new things, for example, the antenna used on NASA ST5 spacecraft. understanding of the theory also helps us secure and improve the world's crops (genetic diversity, disease resistance and pest control). evolutionary theory helps us understand and treat disease, for example, bacterial infections, HIV, and Huntington's disease. the theory also applied from produce polio vaccines to solving tabloid-style crimes. DNA fingerprinting is being used to prosecute and exonerate the accused. DNA fingerprinting relies on the processes of mutation and genome evolution. "If “you can’t teach religion in science classes”, why is evolution taught?" really? isn't the answer obvious? because religion is not science and evolution is science. "Just because we have similar looks and common thing (DNA) between all of the living-being that not necessarily mean that we came from a common ancestor, it means that we have a common creator (God)." why would then, "god", create a 98% DNA similarity between human and chimpanzees? why leave evidence that chimpanzee and human have a common ancestor so clearly on human chromosome 2? why do human embryo have egg sac? and deactivated genes of egg yolk protein? how do you explain that if it's not residuum of evolution? " no religion in the world say that you should kill innocent people even if they didn't believe in same religion as i do." read Deuteronomy 13:7-12
this was my favourite video back in 2012, i was in 6th grade, it was the time when my favorite cell died, it was a hard time for me but this video gave me hope...
What, the animals that we endangered to the point of extinction in the first place? Either way, extinction isnt a bad thing if its naturally occurring, as it happens for a reason, life goes on etc...
Bill Bryson's a short history of nearly everything explains much of this in easy to read manner but in quite a bit of more detail. I recommend that book for ppl of almost any age. Something interesting about this story is however is quite how much is still not perfectly known.
Dismissing my last comment, this part is directed to Christians, evolution happened, you can believe in God and evolution because of FAITH are you forgetting we have that? Now for atheist, stop generalizing all Christians into being ignorant, instead call them what I do, those people are "psycho Christians" aka the people who shove Jesus down your throat and don't do enough of their research. Can people can we now stop arguing.
I believe that there is no god, but rather the law of karma. Do good, you receive good, do bad, you receive bad. And that the human brain is more powerful beyond what we know. It's the same thing that drives the human race into new eras of innovation, intelligence, and ways of life.
I'M NOT DISSING RELIGION AT ALL but this is a SCIENCE video (see, AsapSCIENCE) so of course they wouldn't talk about God and stuff. Science is basically mankind trying to figure out what could've happened WITHOUT the help of God, so PLEASE don't feel like this video is dissing your religion and fight over it, it's science, so it can't talk about God. :)
If everyone was christen, do you know what would be the best weapon we have? That's right! Rocks! Since no one would wonder, the best awnser for everything is "God made it"
not even near true. some of the greatest scientists were religious. and just because someone believes in God, doesn’t mean they don’t look for improvement
+Shadan Khan Science doesn't know. But there are many hypothesis. For example life could have come from elsewhere in space and landed here on earth. It could also be alien life that sent cells to earth to ensure the survival (something humans plan to do too). Or the idea I like the most is abiogenesis which basically means if the conditions are right life can come from inanimate chemicals are molecules that can naturally form a proton gradient and later a simple cell. Essentially the stance here is that Biology came from Chemistry. But my liking this theory doesn't make it true. It needs to supported by evidence.
+Canela40 I agree. Also, true christians should not be forcing thier religion on others in the first place. Its against the bible. I see good reason as to why many christians are hated by athiests. Because most christians arent really christians.
Hahaha I visited a meausem one time and it shows Adam and Eve hangin out with Dinosaurs and most inconic mother flipping T rex! Lol so full of innacuracies and false thinking.
hmm let me think - i think to answer this, we need to go deeper. how about at the very start- the universe. The universe started out as a single ultra-dense object. something happened, and the object STRETCHED. it made huge clusters of radioactivity which helped this STRETCHING to continue, and also forming first stars at the same time. Stars "burn" lighter aspects and "create" heavier aspects from them, creating a huge ammount of energy in the form of light and heat. These first stars are very unstable, and go nova in a couple of hundreds of thousands of years. These "heavy" aspects - that are now solid, form space dust, which clumps together, forming first semi-big objects, which clump together even more and that makes them have enough mass to attract gasses - oxygen, hydrogen(these two aspects actually form steam/water) making planets. I guess then some form of radiation with water "mutated" some aspects forming single celled organisms without any internal organs? Just a guess. also, some of this is false information... I'm writing all of this off the top of my head.
Ok, if you throw the Bible through the window. Adam@Eve? discarded Noah´s Ark? discarded Angels@Demons? dicarded Humans made at God´s image? discarded etc. etc.
Religious people, Accept the fact that science has more proves than religion. in Fact We are the God's and future creators of life. in about 1 million years we will be so advance that religion will become a kids book story.
God Made the heaven n the Hell.. All of those didnt believe will have endless suffer on hell. And all of the people who praise and believe on him will have an endless beautiful life in Heaven ! GodMadeUs !
Marlon Bico ok this is the second comment I have seen you on, so I have got to type something. If you are not a troll and hold the beliefs you preach, why are you watching this video and posting the usual pretentious stereotypical rhetoric? Are you just one of those jerks who go to videos that spark the usual endless annoying as hell religious debates just to throw your own (unoriginal) two cents in?
prw56 well !...u don't believe ?! ..then don't, someday u will understand that there is only one God that made us all ! And u will bow down on that very big hot fire and a melting hot soil on hell just asking to have another chance !! But don't worry u can still change before God came here and grab all of those believers and maybe u can be one of us ! P. S I'm not a jerk I love Science but not that kind of things that science can explain much more than the religion.. I watch dis cuz I'm a fan of them, AsapScience !! (And Stop Pls)
Love the dramatic music. By the way, thanks for updating the Periodic Table! It's really helpful and the catchy tune has really helped me memorise the element. Hydrogen and Helium, then Lithium; Berilium ...
Okay, to anyone who says that religion is wrong and that science is the only real thing or vice-versa, I just want to tell you to stop. I'm only 15, but this is how I see it - or how I was taught throughout the years since I am Catholic - God (or whatever deity you believe in) caused it to happen. In the Bible it says 7 days, but that could just mean 7 periods of time in which those things were occurring. At least, that's how my science and religion teacher in middle school put it.
NO!!! Do not try to make a reasonable negotiation between these 2 theories. Constant whining from both parties will be for NOTHING if you find a reasonable explanation for everything.
We know cellphones are made of plastic, metals and some other materials we all find in nature. Do you believe that after billion of years later a cellphone will just be created randomly after a perfect combination ? Yeah me neither
ZiQi Wei yeahhhh. Its more complicated. Just take a look at how a cell works if you don't know already. It's just amazing it can not be randomly created such a complicated thing
Yes, it can. The odds are so tiny, ALMOST non-existent. But yes, it is possible. But with, oh, at least a billion stars in each galaxy, and a billion galaxys, it IS possible. Small odds doesn't mean it's not possible.
It's funny, cause I've beaten so many adult, religious debates. And i'm 13. Shows alot about how much debatable proof they can reach (As if there's any. Haha)
***** "I need answers". Excellent. You should become a scientist. We accept that we don't know everything yet, but we strive to fill our gaps, rather than attribute the unknown to the supernatural. It is not a question of "who?", but "how?" Comets and lightning were once the purview of God, but we now know exactly how they come about. The origin of life is merely a matter of time. There are two leading theories, "autocatalytic metabolism first" or "RNA World". I'll spare you the details, since this is after all a RUclips comment. In short, the first hypothesis expects basic chemical reactions to have taken place in natural cavities (such as clay, an inorganic catalyst), and self-perpetuating reactions would have sustained and 'evolved' until a lucky few got trapped in a fat bubble [membrane] and became a cell. The latter hypothesis suggests ribose chains inside fat bubbles existed (as they do, and are not considered alive), but the vast majority coded for nothing. However, any RNA that coded for a useful action [a ribozyme, an RNA-enzyme] would more efficiently self-replicate, very slowly acquiring new functionality. Of course, neither of these hypotheses may be right. The origin of life is so long ago, and so unlikely to fossilize, it can only realistically be observed by recreating circumstances in the lab. Difficult, considering the process took nearly 1,000,000,000 years to get started. The origin of life, as complex as it is, is a very unlikely event. However, when we talk billions of years, the extremely unlikely becomes inevitable.
There are a lot of people working hard for answers, they are called scientists. There are another type of people, more lazy, that dont work at all to find real answers: they are called religious. You must choose in wich group you want to be the rest of your life.
***** Sort of. Urey and Miller did not create life, but instead created complex organic molecules from more basic compounds found in comets. The UM experiments were quite suggestive in results, but its a long way from self-forming complex organics to self-replicating and metabolizing life. UM did not create life, and likely could not, at least in the short term. However, the idea of experimental evolution (which has been demonstrated) can easily be generalized to abiogenesis (the creation of life from non-life, which is DIFFERENT from evolution). We should in theory be able to create life in the lab, but it would be a very complex and time-consuming affair.
Jeffrey Trela I'm sorry that a bunch of idiots keep going with this stupid meme... "Darude-Sandstorm"... There are music links in the description, you should be able to find the song in there... They don't lead to the exact song, but they lead to the creator of the song...
He said this all started from a simple cell organism. But who made those simple cell organisms? God! God is real people. If not God then some kind of spirit.
Jonathan Dong The creationist view has an overflowing amount of evidence over the evolutionist side. The whole idea of the universe being 4.5 Billion years old is already against any evidence. They use the geologic column, and that itself is based on circular reasoning. They date the fossils by the layer and date the layer by the fossils.. Try to tell me that's not circular reasoning. If scientists are so sure that cells are created by molecules binding together, then why don't they create life in a lab? They never have. They only created a couple amino acids, which is as far away from life as a letter is to a novel
Jonathan Dong The Bible doesn't hide the fact that there's evil in the world. The Bible says that people would reject his word. Also, the stars in the solar system doesn't prove that the world is 4.5 billion years old. When God created Adam, he was a grown man. He was already talking, running, etc. God created the world in it's mature state for mankind. It even says that God stretched the heavens.
Jonathan Dong I know exactly what part of the bible you are talking about when you are referring to the slaves, and it is taken way out of context. I think you can do your own research on that and come up with a conclusion as to why it has that phrase. As for the legitimacy of the bible, i can see you are unaware of the amount of discoveries have been find that perfectly match the bible. For the longest time, scientists have said that there is no "beginning" to time, and that the universe has always existed. Now, as of recently, they are saying that time, in fact, has a beginning. The bible has always said there was a beginning. "In the beginning...." This is just one of many. In a time where people thought the world was flat, the bible says that the world is round. Not to mention the prophecies that the bible predicted... The bible WAS written in medieval times. In fact, Jesus lived in the Roman Empire. The fact that the bible stated over dozens of scientific facts in a time where scientists haven't discovered them proves it's trustworthiness. The bible has never been proven wrong, scientists contradict each other every day. In the end, it's all about faith. Calling the big bang, or evolution science is absurd. Nobody can "experiment" the beginning of the universe. If you want to believe that our ultra complex life structure is a result of an explosion in outer space, you're free to believe that, but just know that it's just as absurd as saying that an MP4-27 McLaren Mercedes was formed from an explosion in a factory. I believe that we are designed by an all knowing engineer. In the end, everyone looks at the facts and comes up with their own conclusions.
***** There are many problems with carbon dating, radiometric dating, etc. They ASSUME the geologic column is fact. That's mistake number 1. mistake number 2, they assume the earth is billions of years old. There are many faulty things associated with those which have led to some really wild numbers. For example: A freshly killed seal carbon dated at thousands of years old One part of a frozen mammoth, with food preserved in its belly carbon dated at one part to be 17,000 years old and another part was 27,000 I believe. There are many other examples that I don't have at the top of my head at the moment. Also, on the topic of DNA, please explain to me what you mean that every peice of DNA has links to each other. As far as I know, DNA doesn't change. No scientist has witnessed a change in complexity of genetic code. They say evolution is a real science, yet fail to back it up. For example: Natural selection and beneficial mutations are the driving force of evolution Well, A: Natural selection doesn't select anything. It selects things that are already in the genetic code. That's why it's called natural SELECTION B: No beneficial mutation has ever been witnessed. A mutation is a scrambling of already existing genetic code. That's why there are some deformed children with 3 legs instead of 4. This isn't a new thing in genetic code, this is a mistake of the code that creates legs for that organism.
I really love how the flame wars in the comments about "religion" and "Science". There's parts of both, that barely anyone knows truly about. Such as this. When someone mentions "Science" people instantly think, Big Bang, and religious people say "How could it have just happened?" when it's more detailed then that. Such as, there was not an explosion at all, and there was no singularity. And it was more so, matter clumped into a single spot, in the most-likely infinite universe, and it randomly expanded. Thus soon creating clouds of matter soon clumping into stars, plants, solar systems, and galaxies. Then, when religion is mentioned, non-religious people just think "Magical bearded guy in the clouds, talking snake, big boat" and again, if you read the bible, it's more then that. And yes, Adam and eve probably didn't exist, and that part is a story is a tale. religion isn't just "bearded guy in the sky" or "where did god come from", all it is, is this. "religion (Christianity/Catholic, or whatever) is the the belief of a spiritual realm, which can not be seen by the real realm, which we live in, and when you die, your soul meets god, and you are judged from actions to continue to heaven or hell. Main action is accepting Jesus as you're savior, and as he died for you" I personally believe in both, science and religion. Basically everything science shows happened, but the reason of it, was a god. I know I'm going to get hate from this, but I don't really care. Believe what you want. and not pressure people to believe in one or the other.
very true xD i believe in both but at the same time its weird for someone to create a god in order to have somebody to obey.....yet again idk all the answers soooo...lololol
I still am amazed over how shortsighted religious people are. Even if they study science they still don't cease to believe in god. The guy who wrote the bible didn't know somethings and therefore he said the god makes me do things. When we study greek culture we say that the greek people make up gods to explain phenomenons in daily life, but we still believe in our religion even when we prove that other gods from other religions do not exist. The human dependancy on religion and belief is stupid
The theory of the big bang was created by a priest. The question isn't what do we know, it's what we don't know. How did the universe begin? You can't say for certain, no one can, but the idea that a god/deity created life and the universe fills in the gaps that we don't (and possibly never will) be able to fill in with knowledge.
mosullivan15 You're committing two logical fallacies here, special pleading and argument from ignorance. Look them up, then stop using such ridiculous arguments to defend the fact you hold beliefs for no good reason.
cuteotaku1997 why must he be born if he is an omnipotent being? just like asking when the universe was born if energy can't be created nor destroyed it must be infinite. i think we must have some sort of intelligent deity or being that created us (call it God if you will)
You should also do a timeline of all we know of human history compressed into a 24 hour clock starting from around 11,000 years ago when farming first started.
In the light of evolution, the big bang theory makes sense. Everything we know today evolved over an extremely long length of time. Unfortunately, before the big bang, science can't exactly explain what happened, but it's the best theory we have for explaining the origins of humankind, our solar system and current universe.
It was a pretty good video, very informational, and concise. The only issue I had with this video was that a linear evolution graph (that is scientifically incorrect; 1:25 ) was used instead of the widely accepted divergent evolution graph. As an anthropologist, I am deeply concerned with the use of such an outdated graph that is being presented to the young children. Thank you.
I simply came here to write this: BUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUULLSHIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIT!
I'm only 11...so I might be really wrong,,,but anyways here goes nothing. About a year ago I became very interested in religion, At first, I just wanted to know what each one believed or how they saw life. My parents had never said I was Christian or Jewish or anything so I really didn't know what I was, neither did I care. When I started getting interested I realized I wanted to know. My mother told me I could believe in whatever I wanted. That's when I started learning about it. This year I am still just as curious. I have so many questions that I want to get answered still. But while I researched on some religions it felt like I was looking into different worlds. So many of us believe in different things. No religion I researched was alike. I get it though, none of us can be alike perfectly. I don't know if I believe in God or don't. But why do we all have to choose a religion? Some of you were born into a religion, and always believed in it and feel very strongly about people who don't. There's nothing wrong with believing in a religion, but do some of you have to be rude to others who don't? It always feels like I don't have a religion, like I'm an outsider looking in. I've never met one person like I was. Once, the teacher asked us to raise our hand when she called are religion. I didn't raise my hand for any of them. Is it wrong that I can't decide what religion to choose? It feels like I'm in a glass case with all different kinds of people standing around me, screaming different things that I have to believe in. I listen to each one but realize all of them can be right in there own ways. Every. Single. One. I could go on, and on, and on about it but I think I have already bored to death many, many people. I'm sorry if I offended any of you in any way and for all my mistakes in writing, ignore them. Oh yeah, one more thing, I'm sorry if I was mistaken about anything, I usually am. :) Sorry, Bye.
"I really didn't know what I was" You are an intelligent living creature, you need evidence to "believe" something. How do you know how things work? How do you know about reality?: SCIENCE.
roner61 You are correct, science has a lot to do with what I know. But everyone will still have their own beliefs, no matter how hard you try, some people won't budge from what they want to believe. I am too young to explain why people believe in God. Maybe I will never know. Science is a lot easier to explain than God. A lot of people have to see something to truly believe it. I guess you could say I am one of those people. I'm not sure if I truly believe in God, because there is no evidence that he is real. But I can believe science because it has evidence. Miracles that some people say came from God can easily be explained by science. But the again, I may be wrong, so please call me out if I am. I may have gotten way off topic and said too much so sorry :)
gabriel soto "what if adam and eve had belly buttons?" That points to a female God... but you know Christian Church dont like womens, they hate that idea.
If you don't believe in God, FINE. But don't start trashing and insulting our religion. Do you see us insulting your belief? NO. I came here because I am interested in seeing how people believe in the evolution theory and yet the haters are EVERYWHERE. Stop hating!
I'M NOT HATING ON YOU OR YOUR RELIGION AND I'M NOT TRYING TO BE DISRESPECTFUL. If you read some of the comments made by Chistians, they are insulting people with other beliefs. I understand that you have the right of free speech, and you have your own opinion, but being rude and disrespectful towards other people just because of what they believe in is idiotic. I'm saying this for both parties. AGAIN I AM NOT TRYING TO BE DISRESPECTFUL I'M JUST TRYING TO VOICE MY OPINION.
Totally agree. I'm not a religious person, I'm a very scientific person. But I understand that religion has brought some very good things, and absolutely terrible things upon the world, like uniting a group of people under a single ideology, but also brought things like The Crusades, which were not a fun time for anyone. Same goes for science, we brought computers, and electricity, but also created the atomic bomb. Both sides generally have flaws, and people will inevitably throw science textbooks and bibles at each other anyway. I have no problem with religion, I do have a problem with aggressive believers though of both religion and science, which there seems to be no shortage of in this mess of a comment section.
We don't know what happened. This is a THEROY. I'm tired of people arguing over science vs religion. There are many theory's but this so happens to be the most popular. Now stop arguing.
Well part of the argument isn't about whether the theory is correct or not. It's now about 1) Why is the Theory of Evolution taught as truth in schools? and 2) Which one is more reasonable?
TheSev117 The first question can be answered like this, it is the most popular belief and some people think its true even though its a theory. Second question varies by opinion.
Bollalillo I would say religion is an illusion. It gives people "hope" which boosts their moral(?) - the rest of this has to be explained by an example- A person has cancer. It can be cured by chemotherapy and surgery - a person that is an active part of a religion is not as afraid of chemotherapy and surgery, which could potentionally not help him, or kill him (because he knows where he is going and who will take care of him in the afterlife) as the person who is not a part of a religion
I knew this would coin a lot of religion/science arguments xD But yeah I am no where NEAR a christian or anything. I refuse to believe in something that has no proof. All we really have is a book full of mistranslations tbh.
Evolution = gain or loss of genetic data it can be minor to major and can occur with an individual or a group within the same species also the humans haven't really lived long enough for us to see or notice major evolution.
i dashy that AND the fact that we really wont notice evolution as the mutations and genetic changes won't affect more than a few people at a time due to the fact that the insuperior no longer simply die out for the strong to reproduce. No more survival of the fittest.
you should know that every species evolve at diffrent rates. Some species evolve at a pace of sime hundred thousand years while some evolve at a rate of one million years.

+Vermillion H But evidence doesn't contradict the idea of a god. God is a philosophical and logical concept. Science is based on the physical world. They have separate places. There are stupid theists and intelligent ones. Atheists pick out the stupid theists to target yet intelligent theists take on intelligent atheists head on. I would consider myself agnostic but will say that there is no concrete proof or counter arguments to an Aristotelian God.
Of course, they are indeed separate places. But if we're going to talk philosophical and spiritual concepts then it holds no more value then the flying spaghetti monster when it comes to validity, in more than anecdotal ways of course. I'm not saying there's anything wrong with spirituality or anything of the sort, but you can never shift the burden of proof from the one making the claim. Belief is, in the end, belief without verifiable evidence to back it up. So yes, evidence don't contradict the idea of a god, unicorns or anything else that one could believe in. That's what I meant about facts, facts are facts. Testable, verifiable, and there can't be two truths for one concrete question. Is the earth flat for example, it can't be both flat and round at the same time.
And saying atheists are picking out stupid theists while intelligent theists are picking out intelligent theists is just a bias claim. Sure some might do that, but the same way goes the other way around. I don't event understand why you would bring up such a silly point to begin with..
Guys, Listen to me there is no proof that god is real science is so why do people who believe god always come into these amazing video's and ruin things? I cant know if everything is real or not but im sure as hell got isn't real is there any proof your answer No dose Science have Proof? Your Answer Hell yes
You're so unbelievably incorrect, Luis, you can't disprove something that's FAKE! I can't prove that fairies, unicorns, leprechauns or dragons don't exist, but that doesn't mean they exist. The BUYBULL has NEVER BEEN PROVEN SCIENTIFICALLY CORRECT! It's a fairy tale, a many-times translated fantasy book of fiction and folklore, IT IS NO MORE SCIENTIFIC THAN A COMIC BOOK. It is sickening to know that you actually believe that it's scientifically sound!! You need to do some research, I suggest you watch the documentary called 'The God Who Wasn't There', it looks into the history of how the BuyBull was created. Your claim needs to be backed up by evidence, the burden of proof is on the people making the claim, I won't accept your claim that any god, fairy, unicorn, leprechaun or dragon exists UNLESS YOU CAN PROVE IT, until then, they're all considered a myth.
MrsRight You do realize that the bible (at least the gospels) was written by EYEWITNESSES right? That there were 4 witnesses that wrote down the same thing after observing Jesus' miracles?
+TheTdw2000, LOL. You actually believe that?! How about you RESEARCH what you're fucking claiming and then maybe you'll realise that each of these 'eyewitness accounts' were taken 100+ years AFTER the nonexistent 'jesus' was SUPPOSEDLY alive, then described by illiterate people to other people who wrote them down and they were then translated and rewritten to suit the agenda of those in power. Such reliable evidence, pfffft, NOT! They are pure bullshit, and you're bat shit crazy if you believe a single word. I can't tell you what my neighbour did yesterday with any accuracy, and you'll take the work of a guy who knew of a guy who said he was there when his friend's dad saw what he saw and told him exactly what happened even though it was from memory about that day 100 years ago?! Makes perfect sense. LOL.
People. The day you die. You'll see. The idea of God has been around forever. We can't prove he's there. You can't prove he's not there. That's why faith comes in:) God created man. The complex body, and everything we can see and not see. Life can't come from non life. You can't get something from nothing. Open your eyes. We are fearfully and wonderfully made. The world didn't just pop up. And I promise you wouldn't be able to find dinosaur flesh still in tact if it was billions of years ago. The Lord lives. Don't turn away:)
"And I promise you wouldn't be able to find dinosaur flesh still in tact if it was billions of years ago" Are you proving God or disproving it? Last time I checked dinosaur flesh is not in tact, only skeletons remain. It's 64 million on billions.before 300 million years ago complex life didn't even exist.
Timothy Gerich That’s just a cop out. Admit it, you have no idea what created the universe. No one knows. You’re just afraid of ceasing to exist, and believing that you’re going to a magical place after you die helps you cope. Ignorance is bliss, as they say.
"The world didn't just pop up" why are you arguing both sides. Creationists claim the world popped up out of nothing (From a deity, who popped up from nothing) while intelligent people say things don't just appear. No matter what life came from not life. God does not fit the definition of life at all, and even if he did he came up out of nothing
Richard Griffith People have died and went to Hell or Heaven sometimes even both. Those are signs God is trying to show people but people don't care and they think it's a lie. I know Christians can be annoying but can you please watch some of the videos of people who talk about there experience of dying and coming back. You might think it's all staged but it's all been proven.
HisRoyalCarlness Last I checked, a new living thing is not created when something swallows something else. This includes cells and the silly claim that the first cells formed when one cell ate another cell. When I eat a piece of steak, the steak doesn't become an organ, it digests into nutrients.
Justus McNeal Steak is not a cell. Interestingly, even today there are still examples left, in places from plants to the human body, of what was described in the video. Like mitochondrion and chloroplasts. The problem when discussing life on unusual scales is that analogy to life on our scales is nearly impossible in many cases, making them difficult to comprehend.
Cells don't eat mitochondria. During mitosis, mitochondria is transferred from one cell to another. Nothing the cell eats that is alive becomes an organ. When a cell eats something, that thing dies and becomes nutrients for the cell.
Justus McNeal Again, you're using eat in the same sense as we use it on this scale. Not all cells 'eat' other cells, as you put it. And relatively simple cells would have trouble 'not' combining. It's a little suspect that mitochondria reproduce and have their own set of DNA separate from their host. This argument is going to get pointless really fast though, so I'm not going to keep replying for long. You're going to keep trying to apply your intuition about the world around you to worlds that don't operate on those terms, because you have to. And I know, or rather, assume this, because I've been in your position before. I was quite a staunch creationist at one point. But then I opened my mind, and after that, I realised that the only thing making the ideas of evolution problematic was my need for them to be.
I have two friends, one stands around wondering and pondering and asking questions, the other friend is too busy living life and having fun to care. Me? I'm a little bit of each. Enjoy the ride because it goes by really fast.
Beautiful. If you move yourself away from your limited human perception (as far as it is possible) and think about everything in fast forward as if you were watching from a timeless higher realm, you realize everything around you is in constant motion, and that the whole planet (and the whole universe) is alive. That makes me feel profoundly happy for some reason.

I hate it when people remind me of how short my life is compared to history.

What if aging gets under control within your lifetime and you have an indefinite lifespan?
Why? Would you prefer if there was no life before you? The only reason we have oxygen and soil is from hundreds of millions of years of microorganisms making the world livable for animals.
Yep I'm Christian but I have the audacity to respect science and I think it's quite fascinating. Can't everyone just respect others beliefs?
Well in few centuries christianity would just possibly fade away and religion would be considered out dated and too ancient as humans continue to work out everything around them with evidence instead of thinking an entity created everything and lack any evidence of the existance of that creator.
Not a belief
@@ricohill495 it is the worlds most followed religion and there is no way that can happen

Religion = magic invisible people
Science = facts, finding answers and descovery.

While I'm not religious, I'd put my view more respectfully than that. Also it's discovery not descovery.
Dizzynoodlegamer this is why I didn’t want to look at the comments
There are some answers for evolution, and sometimes there is not an answer.
There are some answers for god, and sometimes there is not an answer.
We can't explain where space came from. We can't explain that god created time or space himself because we can't explain where god came from either.
Please respect other people's beliefs
Evolution explains the diversity of life, there is no debate about it's validity anymore in science.
A deity is not seen as an explanation for anything. It's seen, however, as an argument from ignorance, a way to fill the blank of what we do not know.
Beliefs that are not validated by empirical evidence do not deserves to be respected.
u just copy and pasted a previous comment.
+Atharkas So according to you god doesnt exist because of there is no proof. What was before the big bang? No science doesnt know. So how can you claim that there is no god for shour if you even know whats outside our universe.
Emre Can Güner
"So according to you god doesnt exist because of there is no proof."
No, it means you cannot claim a god exist. You can believe one does, but belief is irrelevant to determine if something exist.
"What was before the big bang?"
Who knows? It has nothing to do with the figment of imagination you worship.
+Atharkas Who said i worship a god. I just said dont be to sure. You cant prove or disprove.
Stop acting like a bunch of bloody 3 year olds and stop arguing about religion vs science. Everyone has their own opinion. Deal with it.
David Lawrence The thing is that religious people generally don't accept important scientific facts of life and generally believe in less scientific studies, and lie about what the evidence shows, so its a response to a bullshit argument. Its like if I were to say "The problem with america is all these blacks are stupid"
1.It is an illogical statement by generalizing.
2. it is harmful for the image of the black community and does not represent them in a accurate way

"Science without religion is lame, Religion without science is blind." - Albert Einstein
This made me cry. Life is such a brilliant thing thats truly fleeting. Nothing we do matters.. but everything we do matters.
OMG
How about people who believe in science let people believe it was god, and people who believe in god let people believe it was science.
Science is not something you believe in.
Geo07ism It is. You just dont know what you are talking about. ALOT in science is actually just specualtion and if it comes to the evolution nobody knows how life erupted. again SPECULATION

evolution is truly amazing. sad though how some people still believe we were just magically poofed into existence by an invisible sky fairy.
FINALLY someone who gets me
Agreed (my only problem is my family, but i respect differences)
burak gs well obviously you dont understand evolution enough to argue about it.

God controls science, simple.
But who made the thing that made the stuff that makes food, surely we didn't come from jellyfish,
In order to understand God you have to be in a relationship with him which many arnt and so make up stuff about that they don't really know
Dr.Giblier
In order to understand science you have to be in a relationship with science which many are and so they discover more and more everyday from what is given in proper books.
WHY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1
i agree
nice, your are a smart guy
lol but i disagree, i dont know any religion that was for trolling
I get what you mean but i would rather that than being blind about it. That is why people turn to religion. For faith and something to believe in. If you need it then go to religion, but i would rather spend my life find out what is real than being bland about it.
I never said I was going to be a scientist, and i know that already. -_-
Beyond Nero
"Where are the scientific breakthroughs due to evolution?"
there's too much. let me start with genetic algorithm, where scientist were able to use it to design new things, for example, the antenna used on NASA ST5 spacecraft. understanding of the theory also helps us secure and improve the world's crops (genetic diversity, disease resistance and pest control).
evolutionary theory helps us understand and treat disease, for example, bacterial infections, HIV, and Huntington's disease. the theory also applied from produce polio vaccines to solving tabloid-style crimes. DNA fingerprinting is being used to prosecute and exonerate the accused. DNA fingerprinting relies on the processes of mutation and genome evolution.
"If “you can’t teach religion in science classes”, why is evolution taught?"
really? isn't the answer obvious? because religion is not science and evolution is science.
"Just because we have similar looks and common thing (DNA) between all of the living-being that not necessarily mean that we came from a common ancestor, it means that we have a common creator (God)."
why would then, "god", create a 98% DNA similarity between human and chimpanzees? why leave evidence that chimpanzee and human have a common ancestor so clearly on human chromosome 2? why do human embryo have egg sac? and deactivated genes of egg yolk protein? how do you explain that if it's not residuum of evolution?
" no religion in the world say that you should kill innocent people even if they didn't believe in same religion as i do."

"I belive in Adam and Eve, you can't prove me wrong"
*_Turns off replys_*
I mean they are technically right, since you can't prove them wrong if you can't express different ideas with the replies off.
Sunrise Surprise a wonderful comment!🥺🤩
I'M NOT DISSING RELIGION AT ALL but this is a SCIENCE video (see, AsapSCIENCE) so of course they wouldn't talk about God and stuff. Science is basically mankind trying to figure out what could've happened WITHOUT the help of God, so PLEASE don't feel like this video is dissing your religion and fight over it, it's science, so it can't talk about God. :)
Besides the fact that this one video states the opposite of the Bible ,though I do enjoy these guys other videos

Science holds everything
All of recorded human history into a few seconds.......Kind of puts our self importance into a proper perspective.
... and then with a nanosecond remaining, man created religion so he could pretend to have answers to things he does not yet understand.

Shows that Einstein doesn't know everything either.
If everyone was christen, do you know what would be the best weapon we have? That's right! Rocks! Since no one would wonder, the best awnser for everything is "God made it"
Actually, if we really didn't care about Science, we wouldn't even have weapons. Rocks still require some Science.
I have no idea how the actual heck your argument works.
not even near true. some of the greatest scientists were religious. and just because someone believes in God, doesn’t mean they don’t look for improvement
My science teacher showed this video in class. :D

Did anyone else just learn more from 2 minutes of this than 2 weeks of learning about evolution in school or is that just me?
I got one question, life I made by single cell right,
but I want to know how this cell was made and where it come from
+Shadan Khan Science doesn't know.
+avarmauk This is all wrong. God made everything bro
+Gavin Anstis Wow, this is why atheists hate Christians, because people like you try to shove religion down their throats.
+Canela40 I agree. Also, true christians should not be forcing thier religion on others in the first place. Its against the bible. I see good reason as to why many christians are hated by athiests. Because most christians arent really christians.
Not everything can be explained. Some things are to great for any human to understand.
So, it's 3.8 billion years and those who believe its 6000 years you need mental help.

I don't know why but this made me want to cry. I feel so inspired yet insignificant.
You just pulled a Neil degrass Tyson on us
....how were the single celled organisms created?
hmm let me think - i think to answer this, we need to go deeper. how about at the very start- the universe. These "heavy" aspects - that are now solid, form space dust, which clumps together, forming first semi-big objects, which clump together even more and that makes them have enough mass to attract gasses - oxygen, hydrogen(these two aspects actually form steam/water)
making planets. I guess then some form of radiation with water "mutated" some aspects forming single celled organisms without any internal organs? Just a guess. also, some of this is false information... I'm writing all of this off the top of my head.
Prochy were did the ultra dense object come from?

We know cellphones are made of plastic, metals and some other materials we all find in nature. Do you believe that after billion of years later a cellphone will just be created randomly after a perfect combination ? Yeah me neither
... A cellphone... Isn't the -fucking- same as a cell...
Haha)
Where did the single cell come from? Who created it and how did it get into earth? What created the force that made that single cell? I need answers.
Studies have shown under right circumstances of formation of atoms, a cell can come to existence.
Bombican You mean the Miller-Urey experiment?
This progress looks like I'm doing my homework on Sunday
Music?
And if someone says anything related to "Darude-Sandstorm" or "Sarude-Dandstorm", then me, as a weatherman, will throw you a hailstorm!
Darude-Sandstorm
Jeffrey Trela It's Sarude-Dandstorm duh
Chuck Norris What's with you Idiots and other Losers on RUclips, saying "Darude-Sandstorm"!!!!!!!!
Jeffrey Trela I'm sorry that a bunch of idiots keep going with this stupid meme... "Darude-Sandstorm"...
There are music links in the description, you should be able to find the song in there... They don't lead to the exact song, but they lead to the creator of the song...
+Jeffrey Trela asapscience.bandcamp.com/track/the-evolution-of-life-on-earth
A muffin or I can just delete your comments and block you because I don't wanna here none of your stupidness :)
***** There are many problems with carbon dating, radiometric dating, etc. They ASSUME the geologic column is fact. That's mistake number 1. mistake number 2, they assume the earth is billions of years old. There are many faulty things associated with those which have led to some really wild numbers.
For example:
A freshly killed seal carbon dated at thousands of years old
One part of a frozen mammoth, with food preserved in its belly carbon dated at one part to be 17,000 years old and another part was 27,000 I believe.
There are many other examples that I don't have at the top of my head at the moment.
Also, on the topic of DNA,
please explain to me what you mean that every peice of DNA has links to each other.
As far as I know, DNA doesn't change. No scientist has witnessed a change in complexity of genetic code. They say evolution is a real science, yet fail to back it up.
For example:
Natural selection and beneficial mutations are the driving force of evolution
Well,
A: Natural selection doesn't select anything. It selects things that are already in the genetic code. That's why it's called natural SELECTION
B: No beneficial mutation has ever been witnessed.
Main action is accepting Jesus as you're savior, and as he died for you"
I personally believe in both, science and religion. Basically everything science shows happened, but the reason of it, was a god. I know I'm going to get hate from this, but I don't really care. Believe what you want. and not pressure people to believe in one or the other.
very true xD i believe in both but at the same time its weird for someone to create a god in order to have somebody to obey.....yet again idk all the answers soooo...lololol
not even kidding i would like to thank u for making an intelligent comment xD
You know when that music starts your mind will be blown
I still am amazed over how shortsighted religious people are. Even if they study science they still don't cease to believe in god. The guy who wrote the bible didn't know somethings and therefore he said the god makes me do things. When we study greek culture we say that the greek people make up gods to explain phenomenons in daily life, but we still believe in our religion even when we prove that other gods from other religions do not exist. The human dependancy on religion and belief is stupid
The theory of the big bang was created by a priest. The question isn't what do we know, it's what we don't know. How did the universe begin? You can't say for certain, no one can, but the idea that a god/deity created life and the universe fills in the gaps that we don't (and possibly never will) be able to fill in with knowledge.
mosullivan15 Then tell me when God was born.
I don't (and can't) know.
mosullivan15
You're committing two logical fallacies here, special pleading and argument from ignorance. Look them up, then stop using such ridiculous arguments to defend the fact you hold beliefs for no good reason.
cuteotaku1997 why must he be born if he is an omnipotent being? just like asking when the universe was born if energy can't be created nor destroyed it must be infinite. i think we must have some sort of intelligent deity or being that created us (call it God if you will)
can we stop fighting about religion or belief's
Run for office please.
maybe in the year 2067 or never
EVOLUTION IS NOT A THEORY. HOW evolution occurs is a theory.
You should also do a timeline of all we know of human history compressed into a 24 hour clock starting from around 11,000 years ago when farming first started.
The dirt looks a lot like nuggets of weed :)
In the light of evolution, the big bang theory makes sense. Everything we know today evolved over an extremely long length of time. Unfortunately, before the big bang, science can't exactly explain what happened, but it's the best theory we have for explaining the origins of humankind, our solar system and current universe.
God made the earth

This video is SCIENCE not religion
My six year old just asked for an encore after seeing this video, emphasizing that "it was Awesome!"
Think we could get Morgan Freeman to read this one?
It was a pretty good video, very informational, and concise. The only issue I had with this video was that a linear evolution graph (that is scientifically incorrect; 1:25 ) was used instead of the widely accepted divergent evolution graph. As an anthropologist, I am deeply concerned with the use of such an outdated graph that is being presented to the young children. Thank you.
I simply came here to write this:
BUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUULLSHIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIT!
"I really didn't know what I was"
You are an intelligent living creature, you need evidence to "believe" something.
Here's another theory, what if Adam and Eve evolved from apes!? Religion and Science combined...
Huh? If Adam and Eve where evolved creatures...whats their importance? Why are we speaking about those 2?
what if adam and eve had belly buttons?
gabriel soto
"what if adam and eve had belly buttons?"
That points to a female God... but you know Christian Church dont like womens, they hate that idea.
Yes mabye your correct
If you don't believe in God, FINE. But don't start trashing and insulting our religion. Do you see us insulting your belief? NO. I came here because I am interested in seeing how people believe in the evolution theory and yet the haters are EVERYWHERE. Stop hating!
EXACTLY! WELL SAID!!!
Second question varies by opinion.
demon mutant ninja zombie so its basically pokemon, but we take forever to evolve
wouldn't say religion is a theory. It's low minded fantasy.
Bollalillo I would say religion is an illusion. It gives people "hope" which boosts their moral(?) - the rest of this has to be explained by an example-
A person has cancer. It can be cured by chemotherapy and surgery - a person that is an active part of a religion is not as afraid of chemotherapy and surgery, which could potentionally not help him, or kill him (because he knows where he is going and who will take care of him in the afterlife) as the person who is not a part of a religion
Thats a really really good evolution explanation and it is crammed in to 24 hours
I knew this would coin a lot of religion/science arguments xD But yeah I am no where NEAR a christian or anything. I refuse to believe in something that has no proof. All we really have is a book full of mistranslations tbh.
I love how everyone is so ignorant.
if evolution is real why haven't humans evolved yet?
Evolution = gain or loss of genetic data it can be minor to major and can occur with an individual or a group within the same species also the humans haven't really lived long enough for us to see or notice major evolution.
i dashy that AND the fact that we really wont notice evolution as the mutations and genetic changes won't affect more than a few people at a time due to the fact that the insuperior no longer simply die out for the strong to reproduce. No more survival of the fittest.
What will we evolve into then?
no more foot fingers (I don't know how it is called) , bigger head and the people will be less muscular
you should know that every species evolve at diffrent rates. Some species evolve at a pace of sime hundred thousand years while some evolve at a rate of one million years.
This was a really cool video, I had to watch it for my science class and i was like "YES ASAPScience!!!!" just like, silent in my head lol

if you don't agree with science then why are you here
+Antonio Popa You can't be racists against religions dumbass, because he isn't talking about races hes talking about religions not a race.
Thank you! Someone who agrees!

+Matthew Lorenz Check out my channel! You may like it!
Respect what others believe. Some say God and some say this video. It is a great video and maybe God made the organisms.
+Gabrielle Oliver You can respect what others believe, but if evidence contradict one of them is false.
+Gabrielle Oliver
Ridiculous beliefs don't deserve respect, dipshit.
Audible is the sponsor:
Wait. Is this a musty video?
Y am I even reading the comments. When God comes back,u guys will have a chat.
+alex dixon my opinion:God created life with evolution
I want to be there to see it!
I'm just gonna let you in on a secret God doesn't exist
Bacon_383 Gaming I'm just gonna let you in on a secret: everybody has a difrent belief
+Daniel Ramirez or you're an atheist and have no beliefs. Or you are indoctrinated into same stupid beliefs as many other people.
Guys, Listen to me there is no proof that god is real science is so why do people who believe god always come into these amazing video's and ruin things? I cant know if everything is real or not but im sure as hell got isn't real is there any proof your answer No dose Science have Proof? Your Answer Hell yes
There isn't any proof that he isn't real either and the bible is actually scientifically proven to be real
I would maybe try to prove dragons were real but I only watch a documentary of it on animal planet.....
LOL.
All these arrogant creationists are making me angry.
what was the benefit in compressing everything into a 24 hour period? my class is confused
Gods VS. Big Bang-Winner: BOTH!
God CREATED the Big Bang!
God is the ruler of everything. He existed before time, like how Markus Persson existed before Minecraft.
JTsDiamondMine Yeah, but there was a time before Markus Persson.
Hmmm
I like this response
Then who created God?
"And I promise you wouldn't be able to find dinosaur flesh still in tact if it was billions of years ago"
Are you proving God or disproving it? Last time I checked dinosaur flesh is not in tact, only skeletons remain. It's 64 million on billions.before 300 million years ago complex life didn't even exist.
***** God has no beginning or end. There is no time in heaven.
Bold claims for many events that nobody has a shred of evidence happened.
Well, no evidence that you're allowed to recognize is evidence, anyway.
Enjoy the ride because it goes by really fast.
what
You are all wrong the earth started with Adam and Eve
You forgot the talking snake...
O ya.. Dat snake do
