Wow the feeling of having this library is a big flex. İts free, has only 200mb of sounds but despite that, its performance and possibilities are superior. Also this project sounds alot like a game's ost. İm so happy i found spitfire through a youtube ad
Thank you all for the great comments! I am so happy you enjoyed the piece. This one is very close to my heart (it's dedicated to my mother) Since it is getting such a positive response and I received a few requests about it, I will post a NEW TUTORIAL next week that will cover the creation of the 2 first minutes of the piece (we'll start with that and if you enjoy it will do the rest!) Just got to get my WestWorld entry out of the way first. Thank you all! You folks are truly the best!!
6:00 I find those 3 chords so incredibly beautiful! Literally had me repeating that part like 10 times. Thank you for this video, I found it really inspiring
Dear Subscribers, I'm humbly reaching out for help if by any chance you are in a position where you can. As you probably know Covid-19 has greatly impacted the music community and like many musicians in New York and everywhere, I've lost virtually all my gigs and income during this pandemic. In the light of this, if you enjoyed the content of this channel and would like to leave me a tip, I set up a virtual Paypal tip Jar. You'll find the icon in the channel art and in the "about" tab. I thank you in advance for your help and please remember, tips are greatly appreciated but not expected! Thank you all again! Have a great day everyone and please take good care of yourselves! Gabe
I am starting to learn how to compose film scoring and your work is very inspiring and useful to me. Now I am studying in depth your Spitfire Audio BBC Symphony Orchestra Discover Demo and studying the keys you use to achieve a movie sound
I actually screamed at the end because of how amazing not only the library is, but also the arrangement of the piece. The last movement reminded me a lot of Leia's theme from Star Wars, probably one of my favorite Star Wars pieces lol. Amazing work!
The piano roll was very informative, seeing when notes end etc at the beginning. An excellent composition - even more so when it's only 200Mb! Very well done.
What a wonderful way to show the potential of this cheap/free library that I just got! Now I won't be allowed to blame the tool if my results are not good :) Merci, et hop, un abonné de plus !
Objective comments: 1. Beautiful piece. Well done. 2. The slow passages sound amazing. 3. The faster passages are beautifully done but sound like a low budget library once you hit the woodwinds, etc. Conclusion: this is a great library for slow lyrical music. I'd really love to hear this piece done with Core and Pro, to see what the differences are.
Braun Haus Media! Thank you for your detailed comment and feedback I really appreciate it! I agree with you, the library does come with its limitations but since its free I think they can be overlooked. I'm especially thinking about people using their DAWs stock instruments or other free libraries of lesser quality. This is a tremendous upgrade at the reach of anybody's wallet and I say go for it :) I've tried a bunch of free libraries and I really think that even with its limitations this is still the best free orchestra out there. Also agreed that I'm happier with the quality of both the music and the mix in the slow parts than the fast ones. I'm actually thinking of doing it with another library but this time a pro, "paid for" library to see the difference. Probably using orchestral tools products. But I have a couple other projects on the way before that. Thanks you again for this great comment! and for taking the time to listen!
This is probably the best composition I've heard yet that is made with discover... Great work! Sounds very realistic compared to what most can do even with "better" libraries :o
Beautiful work, and thank you SO MUCH for sharing the Logic project. Such a powerful way to learn about the plugin and composition / orchestration. I wish there were more BBCSO Logic projects available to study (especially BBC Core).
Absolutely fantastic showcase for Discover...best I've seen/heard. Thanks for sharing your project file and template. Generosity and talent in equal measure. Best wishes.
Wow...thank you SO MUCH for posting this template. Your setup is almost indescribably simple. I've been going about this process all wrong, trying to complicate it too much. Thanks for reminding me to keep it simple.
Tout simplement exceptionnel ! Vous faites partie des « grands » compositeurs en plus d’une parfaite maîtrise du logiciel. Continuez de nous faire rêver et merci encore. 👍👌🙂
This was awesome!!! Really shows the power a free library can have. I recently entered in the Spitfire Westworld Scoring Competition and I made myself use only BBCSO Discover for all the orchestral sounds. And I gotta say it was so much fun! Loved this man. Great job. Hope to see more awesome music from you :) Cheers!
Wow! Aside from being a really excellent showcase of BBCSO/Discover's capabilities (largely attributable to the very nice orchestration, I believe), this is a wonderful composition. Kudos!
You're welcome :) Hi from New York. A lot of my family lived in Poole which I use to visit a couple times a year when I was a kid so I'm a bit familiar with this beautiful part of the UK! Cheers!
Great piece of music!! I actually went for the Core version and the options it gives are overwhelming for someone who just starts and tries to learn how to orchestrate. I really like your videos From Piano to Full Orchestra. Thank you.
Thank You! What an excellent demo. I am listening to the score with the template and it is amazing. I like the way you worked with the expression controls and the composition is great.
BRAVO !
wow, thanks! I had just downloaded BBC SO Discover today, fiddled around a bit, thought "I wonder if there are any Logic X templates out there with all the instruments already assigned to tracks ... ?" and behold: the thing I come across is this video + template which is not only *exactly* has what I was looking for, but it was even just uploaded today :)
I cannot tell you how much I appreciate this comment! Thank you so much my friend! I'll keep trying to bring you the best music I can :) your friend Gabe

I just received my copy this morning. I'm so pumped. Really thrilled. I can't wait to create some beautiful music with it!
Just applied through a survey, have to wait 2 weeks though, I can't wait!
Combine that with Spitfire Audio labs, and other freebies around, and you have a full fledge orchestra for free. What a time to be alive
En francais! Please!

super super beautiful. Did you created on your own ??? Can't believe :o
Thank you for the very interesting tutorials, i think you REALLY deserve our help and aide. Merci pour tout, surtout pour la musique!
there is no project or template in the link !!
Very Williamsesque. Gives me a MASSIVE ET vibe in a lot of parts for some reason. Magnificent work! I Love it!
I was going to say exactly the same. It reminded me of John Williams
I tested it for many hours now and i defenitly can't reach the level of your music man WELL DONE !
Thank you for sharing the LOGIC project file.

What a craftsmanship! And to give away the Logic project is so generous. Much appreciated!

Nice Howard Shore reference on the pick up to bar 64.

Beautiful piece of music here!! Really inspirational
I played it twice and I still can’t get enough, Like I wish this had no end! Great job and thank u for this amazing template.
The percussion is probably my favorite part of this library
Yup the percussion section is pretty awesome! I just wish we had timpani rolls to play with but can't be mad at them for not including them...
@@grmusicnyc Hey I'm just glad I have a Celeste, that was one of the things that I was lacking in my arsenal
I was missing a oboe which is probably why I was so trigger happy with it in this one 🤣🤣
Wow...thank you SO MUCH for posting this template. Your setup is almost indescribably simple. I've been going about this process all wrong, trying to complicate it too much. Thanks for reminding me to keep it simple.
WOW! This is orchestration goal right here
That was awesome. Several times throughout that piece I couldn't help but smile. Fantastic orchestration. Well done.
Très magnifique! That was an extremly nice arrangement and usage of that library. Thanks a lot for that!
Tout simplement exceptionnel !
Vous faites partie des « grands » compositeurs en plus d’une parfaite maîtrise du logiciel.
