In this video I shared my first impression after arriving in the Hanoi Vietnam for the first time. This mega city and country Vietnam has a lot to offer and I can't wait to explore and share with you my experiences here.
I went on the streets, ate some Vietnamese food such as the Pho bo, talked with some local Vietnamese, got on the motorbikes to different destinations here and the travels / adventures here was just amazing.

@@FelThommy Thats true if you go to the south later, there is a Chinatown at HCMC, a really big one. Usually they prefer speaking Cantonese, but they can understand Mandarin but can not speak.
The Chinese population in Vietnam typically only speak Cantonese, not Mandarin.

The reception black people get from China and Vietnam is fantastic. You become the star. I think Mongolia and Cambodia are also the same.
Not so much china, there not really welcoming towards African people. Vietnamese are very welcome of African people. Not one Vietnamese asked stupid question, like 'why you so black ' 'did you perm your hair etc' 😅🙈
Her name is Diệp that means leaf in Chinese Vietnamese. She comes from Nam Dinh, the province where the Red river flows to the sea, about 100-150 km from Hanoi. This is the homeland of Phở and Catholics in Vietnam( the first Catholic commune founded in 1533 in fishing villages on the beach at the boundary of Namdinh&Ninhbinh) This is either the homeland of Trần dynasty, who led Vietnam 3 times defeated Mongolian empire in the 13th century

You should try Bun Bo Hue, beef noodles. Pho is a normal staple, but if you want really tasty beef noodles, Bun Bo Hue is the bomb.

Great to see you in Hanoi! If you're still in Vietnam I must recommend trying to find some Banh Cuon to eat!! It varies in different regions, but I can say Hanoi's is amazing! Also Bun Cha and Pho are obviously a must eat!

Really hoping to see you in the South of VN, there're a lot of interesting activities and food to enjoy here, and also a vast amount of English speaker. If it's possible, I would recommend you go to the "mien Tay" which is the Mekong Delta or the Southwest of Viet Nam. You can meet any type of friendly person there, get into anyone's house and they often offer you a free lunch together with their family, like in the one video you've made in China with a random auntie there (I knew you from the time I watched that video).

I went to Vietnam in 2023 and have to say that I've been traveling alot but without any doubt the people there are the most friendly and service minded I ever seen. Even if the food were 1$ for me they had the service as if it were 100$.. but the thing about going past people eating and they asking you to sit down and share the food... that happened ALOT during my visit. They are all so excited to see somebody who want to share and learn of their culture.
I'm lucky to have a sign. other who can speak the language so she could translate alot -but the joy in the people's eyes when they saw that I as a nordic white male could use chopsticks and also knew what I were to eat... there were so many times they came out with more things off the ticket after that and just wanted to see us taste... now this could be a trick and they would fool you into eating it and get you to pay for it -but at my visit it wast the case.
Vietnam has good chefs, food must be delicious over there
