The Swedish player didn't have to attack more then necessary, he tied up about 70% of the allied forces including all their artillery, since only about 780 men faced the French player (if I did the math right, 4 line infantry, 2 jägers, 1 Buschjäger and 3 cavalry formations). He probably only waited for France to break through before pushing, which happened.
Reminds me of a battle I had in a town captured by the Americas (I was the British), that whole gameplay of taking over buildings to use as cover is pretty neat.

Decided not to get Warhammer until its on sale as I still am unsure lol :(
I think it wouldn't work. Units would die far too quickly. Just look at fall of the samurai for example. That's much earlier and the units die really fast.
Battlefield 1 looks like WW2 and is fictional according to them. From what I saw most players will even be carrying automatic or semi-automatic weapons. The battle they played at E3 was played in a village so I assumed it was based in the early war but there were tanks, Biplanes, and other mid-to-late war things in it. WW1 in Total War would be awkward in the sense that there is tons less micro management. It was essentially wait for the time to finally jump out of the trench and watch half of your unit die if you're lucky enough to just get into the trench much less take it.
I really enjoy this channel and Pixie's narration... it's one of the best out there in terms of entertainment. But: Most of the players in the napoleon tw videos are rather bad (not forming squares in a 2v2 is a pretty bad beginner's mistake) and that is unfortunate because there is a substantial community out there (although declining) that plays this game really well. That said the swedish player was at a very high level I'd love to see more like him. PS: This is supposed to be constructive criticism :)
Look at the mini-map, the Swedish guy harassed that unit with jeagers so the Austrian player clicked an attack order on the jeagers to return fire out of range of the line infantry, however the swedish guy stepped forward with his lines and backed off with his lights giving two volleys to his unit and the Austrian player, who probably had no attention there for the moment, backed off with his unit seeing the beating they took
I don't think so, I think they had the order on the jeagers, but the austrian player forget about them (or didnt pay attention as he thought they would start a shootout against the jaeger so he probably didnt have to do anything) as the swedish players marched his jaegers behind his line so they could get free shots. that's at least what i can see from the mini map
+Leaffordes If you pay close attention you can actually see the unit running forwards and then back in line without ever firing, so they must have had an attack order on the light infantry unit (meaning you are right from what i can see)
I just...I look at these maps and think, wow, Just imagine Warhammer If it had this sized maps and Units not made of Sponge cake. Still Fantastic Commentary as per usual! :3
This is a cool battle idea so it's a 2v2 with a twist, there is a village in the middle of the battle field with a neutral faction defending there village against both forces
Please, do a life of a soldier of the first Life guard of foot regiment crossing the stream for the Swedish, if that's the unit to the left it had 18!!!! men in the ending of the battle and 2 gained cheverons, that's crazy

Medieval 2 is what his channel was started on, and the battles themselves have lots of opportunity for varying strategy and tactics. IMO it's more fun to watch than the gun fights because most of the time the soldiers are fighting hand to hand rather than at a distance firing at each other

the reason why is because they weren't as exposed to the war and are sub factions so basically not important. Also Sega is done with this game they are producing more dlc for warhammer as we speak and nothing will change this game
Yeah I wish that more would be added to it since its such an amazing game. I'd like if they did the battles between america and Britain in Canada or add in america it'd be cool but I expected more from this game

No Apollo, they are cuirassiers. Cuirassiers were used well into the 1870’s in Europe. Especially by France.

There lines are 2 Lines and there Second line Close to each Other so a shot will maybe not hit the first line but it will hit the second
