With each step, we come closer to this storied bridge, a testament to the engineering prowess of the Genoese era.
So sit back, relax, and enjoy the journey as I take you on this incredible voyage of discovery from the comfort of your own home. From the rolling waves of the Mediterranean Sea to the rugged beauty of Spelunca Gorge, and finally to the historical Bridge of Zaglia - this is a trip you don't want to miss!
The MEGA EXPRESS TWO is a ferry operated by Corsica Ferries Sardinia Ferries. It serves as an important transportation link between the Italian and French mainland and the islands of Corsica and Sardinia.
Built at the Italian shipyard Cantiere navale fratelli Orlando in Livorno, the MEGA EXPRESS TWO features a hull number of 274. The ferry was designed by Deltamarin, a Finnish ship architecture firm. Primarily, Corsica Ferries - Sardinia Ferries uses the MEGA EXPRESS TWO to connect the mainland to the islands of Corsica and Sardinia. On occasion, the ferry also operates between Toulon and Alcúdia on the Spanish Mediterranean island of Mallorca, with some trips stopping at Ciutadella on Menorca. The MEGA EXPRESS TWO is a sister ship to the MEGA EXPRESS.
The ferry is powered by four Wärtsilä 12VR46C diesel engines. Two engines each drive an adjustable propeller through a gearbox. The ferry is also equipped with two bow thrusters. Two shaft generators driven by the main engines and three MAN diesel-powered generators provide electricity.
The ferry has four vehicle decks, with the main deck accessible via two ramps at the stern. Ramps from the main deck lead to an additional vehicle deck above and two decks below. These ramps can be adjusted to create more space on the decks. There is also a pedestrian ramp at the stern, with side doors on both sides of the ferry for passenger access.
The MEGA EXPRESS TWO offers 294 passenger cabins, each with a bathroom, shower, and toilet. Additionally, 300 reclining seats are available for passengers. Onboard amenities include restaurants, bars, and a swimming pool.
The MEGA EXPRESS TWO sails under the Italian flag and has a call sign of ITXZ. The ship was launched on May 29, 1999. The length is 176.38 meters and the width is 24.80 meters. The ferry has a maximum draft of 6.55 meters and is classified by the Registro Italiano Navale.

Bellevideohenri😊
A very beautiful sunset.
And with the sunsetting of course you get a very good idea of your bearings because the Sun ALWAYS sets in the West.
So, the ferry is more or less sailing in the direction it ought to be for Corsica.
Reasurung to know.
I was on the same ferry today
Thanks for Feedback 😁👍
Encore une magnifique vidéo; Merci de nous l'avoir transmise; Amicalement.

Mega Regina, our beautiful ex. Mariella from Finland!
She will play an important role again in a later video in a few weeks' time.
The Bastia Harbour pilot is obviously making use of the thrusters to help manoeuvre the vessel.
Rather him than me, a huge vessel to manoeuvre but of course he or indeed she will have done it many times before and will have it down to a fine art.
Beautiful morning in Bastia.
Great video!!!!!!
Thank you 😃
Great video as always😊
Thank you very much 😃👍
Well colour me flabbergasted by the unusual loading process
What is unusual here?
@Marko Obid most ferrys ive traveled on you normally board through bow or stern depending on the way the ship is facing and go up a ramp or straight ahead ive never known it to be straight ahead down and down again im more intrigued then confused thought it was kinda cool thats all
@@Gary-mv4gp in Mediterranean, there are many ferries that have these lower car decks. The original idea is Greek, first used on a 1995 built Superfast I (now Unity Line's Skania) and Aretousa (now La Meridionale's Girolata). All ex-Greek "highspeed" ferries have them, and some others too, most notably the both original Mega Expresses (1 and 2) of Corsica Ferries and the "Cruise" quadruplets of Grimaldi lines.
@Marko Obid how truly fascinating thank you for your insight it really was cool to witness the car deck keep descending where as with ships ive travelled on like Pont Aven Stena Europe and Stena Lynx 3 its just fascinating to see the differences in vehicle decks on these ships
Great video ! 👍
The return crossing with the Corsica Linea company?

Ca a l'air joli Baqstia , les routes un peu dangereuses mais ça c'est sur toute la Corse. Bonnes vacances.
