This is absolutely ridiculous. Can Yaman is an amazing actor and the first actor I have really believed in his acting. I have watched a few Turkey shows when I started watching Erkenci Kus and not one of them captured my attention as what Can Yaman was able to do. People need to get their heads on straight. Why even the pop queen Kylie Minogue found it hard to achieve fame in Hollywood, she did though in the end, but it took lots of hard work & determination. Not everyone knows him in Hollywood just like not everyone know about him in UK. Non of my friends know Can or Demot. I'm not saying it's impossible, it can be done but not that easily. He should get a good PR team and a good manager, that will help him.

He definitely exudes a passion in his roles and I know that is one thing I look for in my shows... so I plan to continue watching him in the future. I don’t know if he needs more coaching for his public speaking or if he just really doesn’t care... but I think all he has to do is limit his interviews and people will forget. I know I’m watching these fictional (and fantastic!) shows to fulfill my romance addiction... and not because of anything he says or does in his personal life. As long as he keeps bringing me sexy, dreamy heroes... then I’ll be watching.

Y en cuánto a la entrevista que hizo en España es falso lo que se dice porque yo la ví completa y él respondió: si quieres te puedes acercar y me puedes tocar para que veas que soy de carne y hueso. Los que sepan de Internet y saben bien el Turco /español que publiquen esa entrevista para demostrar a la gente en Turquía que le hicieron una trampa. Yo no sabría decir si dijo lo del camerino porque no se Turco, pero de todas formas no es tan grave como para destruir su carrera.
Poor Can .It sounds like he is getting “set up” in a lot of his interviews. He gets asked leading questions and then when he answers in a down to earth manner he is taken out of context and misquoted or mistranslated, like the libido comment, when he clearly meant chemistry. While it all adds to his charm to be honest and open, I think in order to protect himself he needs to learn to develop a filter and to set some boundaries that are not to be crossed when he is being interviewed.
@@BEVARAGE Are you saying he didn't make the "come to the back room comments"? If he didn't make that comment then he should sue THEM ALL for trying ruining his reputation & career. If he did make that comment then he was WRONG to do that, that's my opinion. However, I don't think he deserves to get his show cancelled or this amount of criticism. En una de las entrevistas de las varias que tuvo en Madrid Can dijo que las mujeres españolas eran muy emocionales y calientes. El traductor no era bueno y no supo traducir bien tenia que haber dicho "las mujeres espanolas son muy emocionales y cariñosas" eso suena mucho mejor que calientes. Luego el traductor trato de corregir ese error con la palabra "calida", pero ya era demasiado tarde. Y me imagino que ese no fue el unico error que el traductor cometio y todo el mundo a puesto el grito al cielo. Es un hombre igual que otro cualquiera con sus deseos y debilidades y no entiendo porque quieren hacer de el un monje.
No me lo puedo creer que le hagan esta faena, por algunas declaraciones que no saben entender en otro país, nosotros en esas frases no vemos nada de maldad y seguro que la reportera en el primer caso no se sentiría ofendida por lo que le contestó. A nosotros nos gusta por lo que transmite en ellas, amor, dulzura y nos llega al corazón, sino no las veríamos seguro, y no hubieran comprado más novelas suyas , por eso tiene tantas fans en nuestro país. I am badly surprised and i left a few days to pass.. What an angelic World is this!!!! How many innocent and ethic persons are there around Can Yaman!!!! No se porque le está pasando todo esto a Can de verdad para España ha sido una alegría poderlo tener aquí, y si han habido otras series turcas, muy buenas con un elenco de actores buenísimos, pero ninguna ha tenido la aceptación tan grande de esta comedia romántica que le ha dado al público alegría, diversión, entretenimiento, sus escenas de amor maravillosas debido a la gran interpretación de Can y Demer mostrando sus sentimientos de amor y pasión en una pareja de enamorados como en ninguna serie anterior. Consideramos que los turcos son muy fríos en las relaciones amorosas o son más románticos y en Can aunque siendo bastante moderado le pone a sus personajes algo de su sentir y su propia personslidad o sea yo creo lo entrega todo de sí. Es u a pena que los productores se guíen por todas estos altos y bajos y no quieran trabajar co. CAN POR ESTAS TONTERÍAS al final Turquía será la perdedora al no emitir trabajos de Can cuando sabe que los de el serán comprados en todas partes del mundo. Ho voluto riguardare le due interviste aCan Yaman di cui si parla in questo video,per essere sicura che la memoria non mi facesse brutti scherzi. Infatti ricordavo bene: Can Yaman non ha mai invitato nessuno nei camerini ,ha solo detto alla giornalista che lo provocava che avrebbe potuto toccarlo se non credeva che fosse di carne e ossa. Nell'altra intervista ,Can Yaman non ha mai detto che lui è Demet erano realmente una coppia,ma ha citato l episodio 20 di erkencikus,dove rinasce la passione tra i due personaggi Can e Sanem.Forse la parola " libido" per la cultura turca può suonare come una mancanza di rispetto troppo forte, ma Can Yaman ha sempre detto che tra lui e Demet c era una forte chimica (Chemistry),che non aveva trovato con le altre attrici.Quindi vogliamo davvero colpevolizzare un attore bravo ed intelligente come Can per una parola,con il rischio che abbia la carriera rovinata?!? Though I like Can Yaman but it do hurt when our heroes sometimes speak nonsense.. Now he will have to face the consequence. But it's too harsh to cancel the series. Franca Marrella you can't blame Turkey, I'm sorry but Can should never give interviews when drinking. He needed to spend less time in the bars and more time just chilling and humbly getting ready for his next project after the military. It's like he's been in a frenzy surrounding himself with woman pawing all over him. He can't stand still, has lost a lot of weight and when being interviewed he talks wayyy too much. He tends to brag a bit. Dear Can needs to take on some of the humility of Can Divit. @Sue Bissonnette I agree with you about Can- sometimes acting without thinking, and i think he definitely needs guidance from people who are well experienced in this industry. He clearly loves his fans and loves to hang out with them ,but he has to have boundaries in order to succeed. However,i also think his country is giving him a hard time,they never had a Turkish star in a level like Can who is making his way out of the country and building himself worldwide, and i certainly see some envy there towards him. Some Turkish actors are well known in the industry and yet manage to achieve what he has achieved in a short period of time,that definitely puts him in a jealous spot. It's not him, it's the media that is unnecessarily twisting his words and showing him in a bad light. Though I do feel he shouldn't have mentioned anything about the co-star he had a rift with. That was plain unprofessional. And I don't think he is too naive to not know that that type of comment could land him in trouble, especially when it's about a woman. Everything else he said has been distorted by the media and I don't understand why. They should be proud of him for exposing the Turkish culture to the world. I didn't know a thing about Turkey but after watching EK I was intrigued to look up Turkey on the internet - their language, cuisine, arts and crafts, beautiful places to visit, etc. How many Turkish actors have managed to bring about that kind of influence?
Tamasa Patra, very true. I think some of the things he said might've been taken out of context. I too agree he shouldn't have mentioned about the other actresses especially her name. That's signaling her out, he could've worded it better. It's good he's taking a break, he deserve it. Some rest and staying away from the press would do him good and hopefully come back next year fighting back stronger. I don't think Farouq, producer cancelled the show with Can, maybe postponed it for the time being. Until the dust clears. You watch, once Can is out of the limelight they'll be moving onto someone else, printing rubbish about some other celebrities. I have watched a few Turkey shows when I started watching Erkenci Kus and not one of them captured my attention as what Can Yaman was able to do. People need to get their heads on straight. Why even the pop queen Kylie Minogue found it hard to achieve fame in Hollywood, she did though in the end, but it took lots of hard work & determination. Not everyone knows him in Hollywood just like not everyone know about him in UK. Non of my friends know Can or Demot. I'm not saying it's impossible, it can be done but not that easily. He should get a good PR team and a good manager, that will help him.

Los que sepan de Internet y saben bien el Turco /español que publiquen esa entrevista para demostrar a la gente en Turquía que le hicieron una trampa. Yo no sabría decir si dijo lo del camerino porque no se Turco, pero de todas formas no es tan grave como para destruir su carrera.
Poor Can .It sounds like he is getting “set up” in a lot of his interviews. He gets asked leading questions and then when he answers in a down to earth manner he is taken out of context and misquoted or mistranslated, like the libido comment, when he clearly meant chemistry. While it all adds to his charm to be honest and open, I think in order to protect himself he needs to learn to develop a filter and to set some boundaries that are not to be crossed when he is being interviewed.

En una de las entrevistas de las varias que tuvo en Madrid Can dijo que las mujeres españolas eran muy emocionales y calientes. El traductor no era bueno y no supo traducir bien tenia que haber dicho "las mujeres espanolas son muy emocionales y cariñosas" eso suena mucho mejor que calientes. Luego el traductor trato de corregir ese error con la palabra "calida", pero ya era demasiado tarde. Y me imagino que ese no fue el unico error que el traductor cometio y todo el mundo a puesto el grito al cielo. Es un hombre igual que otro cualquiera con sus deseos y debilidades y no entiendo porque quieren hacer de el un monje.
No me lo puedo creer que le hagan esta faena, por algunas declaraciones que no saben entender en otro país, nosotros en esas frases no vemos nada de maldad y seguro que la reportera en el primer caso no se sentiría ofendida por lo que le contestó. A nosotros nos gusta por lo que transmite en ellas, amor, dulzura y nos llega al corazón, sino no las veríamos seguro, y no hubieran comprado más novelas suyas , por eso tiene tantas fans en nuestro país.
Aquí seguro que tiene las puertas abiertas en cualquier cosa que se proponga. Espero que se calmen las aguas y verás como seguirás con esa gran carrera que has elegido tener. SUERTE y ANIMO CAMPEÓN.

No se porque le está pasando todo esto a Can de verdad para España ha sido una alegría poderlo tener aquí, y si han habido otras series turcas, muy buenas con un elenco de actores buenísimos, pero ninguna ha tenido la aceptación tan grande de esta comedia romántica que le ha dado al público alegría, diversión, entretenimiento, sus escenas de amor maravillosas debido a la gran interpretación de Can y Demer mostrando sus sentimientos de amor y pasión en una pareja de enamorados como en ninguna serie anterior.
Consideramos que los turcos son muy fríos en las relaciones amorosas o son más románticos y en Can aunque siendo bastante moderado le pone a sus personajes algo de su sentir y su propia personslidad o sea yo creo lo entrega todo de sí. Though I like Can Yaman but it do hurt when our heroes sometimes speak nonsense.. Now he will have to face the consequence. But it's too harsh to cancel the series. Franca Marrella you can't blame Turkey, I'm sorry but Can should never give interviews when drinking. He needed to spend less time in the bars and more time just chilling and humbly getting ready for his next project after the military. It's like he's been in a frenzy surrounding himself with woman pawing all over him. He can't stand still, has lost a lot of weight and when being interviewed he talks wayyy too much. He tends to brag a bit. Dear Can needs to take on some of the humility of Can Divit. He should never have dissed that other popular Turkish actor Kivanc Or said that Demet spends her time taking selfies while he works . Can has to learn sometimes more is less and just stay quiet.
@Sue Bissonnette I agree with you about Can- sometimes acting without thinking, and i think he definitely needs guidance from people who are well experienced in this industry. He clearly loves his fans and loves to hang out with them ,but he has to have boundaries in order to succeed. However,i also think his country is giving him a hard time,they never had a Turkish star in a level like Can who is making his way out of the country and building himself worldwide, and i certainly see some envy there towards him. Before knowing and learning to appreciate Can Yaman, in our imagination Turkey was just a somewhat archaic state, with a dictatorial president and a very conservative conception of women.
Since we started to love this actor and these television series (although we must also give credit to Ozge Gurel and Serkan Kayoglu for having paved the way for the "dizi"), we have discovered that Istanbul is a very modern and technological city, we have admired the beauty of the turkish seabed and coasts, we have known typical dishes of turkish cuisine, such as borek, dolma and baklava, and the status of women in Turkey has been re-evaluated ...
Many of us have already planned a trip to Istanbul in the short term, to meet our darling, and learned about many words of the - for us difficult - turkish language. We even started listening to turkish songs and eating pumpkin seeds ...
In short, Can Yaman turned out to be Turkey's best testimonial / export product; a fantastic advertisement for his country, for his audiovisual system, for his actors (thanks to him we started to follow other series and other turkish actors before us unknown to us).
Of course, his appearance and his physical prowess were the first to hit us, but the world is full of beautiful or sexy actors. This guy impressed us with his education, availability and courage (very few others have the same) with which he gives himself to the fans, for the love he shows towards his parents, his managers, his stylist, the his trusted photographer, his producer, who thanks to him have become almost as famous as him.
The same producer Faruk Turgut admitted during the Cannes Mipcom 2019 that no one had ever asked him to be photographed before being accompanied by Can Yaman to the TV fair.
Anyone would think that so much popularity abroad by a turkish actor would be hailed with pride and joy at home and by fellow countrymen. And instead, after the trip to Spain that sent fans and the Iberian press into raptures, the actor was the object of an absurd boycott and lynching by the national press.
In the first place it was doubted that the 2000 fans flocked to the Madrid airport were real, implying that they were extras paid for by him. We can assure you: thousands would be willing to pay to spend a few minutes in his company.
And how could Can then create so much hysteria (first in Naples, then in Athens, then in Rome, then in Madrid ...)?

As much as we can understand and respect cultural and mentality differences, and although CanYaman is 30 years old and is responsible for his own statements, especially as a public figure, the reaction to his statements, which are certainly naivety but not crimes, there it seems disproportionate: to postpone the new series for 7 months, to prevent him from speaking in public for an equally long period, to impose a holiday abroad, to refuse to work with him as did Pinar Deniz, to describe him as an arrogant latin lover, it's really too much.
To depict him as a sexist actor who dishonors his country is an exaggeration. This young man has been working in the world of television series for 6 years and never a rumor about his inappropriate or disrespectful behavior on the set has been leaked.
In the age of Weinstein, Louis C.K, Kevin Spacey, Roger Ailes, Epstein…, talking about sexism for Can Yaman and his use of the word libido makes us smile.
Can Yaman does not drink, does not take drugs, does not smoke, does not even like tattoos. It should be considered a role model for his dedication to work and sport, and instead you are depicting him as an egocentric and sexist person.
We can also understand (but disagree) that, according to turkish public opinion, there are more deserving actors than Yaman of such great success, but the history of cinema is full of examples of actors considered at the beginning only handsome without talent, from Brad Pitt to Richard Gere, from Johnny Depp to Matthew McConaughey, who became famous as a sex symbol in their youth and then proved to be great actors over time. You cannot decide who triggers the enthusiasm of the crowds. It is not the press that determines who has the IT factor. And Can Yaman has shown that he has it.
You should protect his talent, cuddle it, feed it, and instead you are demolishing the career to a boy who has already made his country great and famous in a very short time.
If anything, it is this absurd slanderous campaign and your fury towards him to dishonor you and make us think that yours is a backward culture that does not allow those who emerge over others to shine.
We admirers of Can Yaman and external observers of the situation can only ask you to stop this lynching and deal with the real problems of sexism in your country.

It's not him, it's the media that is unnecessarily twisting his words and showing him in a bad light.
Though I do feel he shouldn't have mentioned anything about the co-star he had a rift with. That was plain unprofessional. And I don't think he is too naive to not know that that type of comment could land him in trouble, especially when it's about a woman.
Everything else he said has been distorted by the media and I don't understand why. They should be proud of him for exposing the Turkish culture to the world. That's signaling her out, he could've worded it better. It's good he's taking a break, he deserve it. I don't think Farouq, producer cancelled the show with Can, maybe postponed it for the time being. Until the dust clears. You watch, once Can is out of the limelight they'll be moving onto someone else, printing rubbish about some other celebrities.
