Incredible man well done . I’d love to find a spot like that one day but the old gold monster won’t be any good for that doesn’t punch enough . One day I’ll get a 5 or 6000 . Love this channel learning so much about the hard rock mining and how you test the gravels in creeks been trying it my self while panning . Can I ask in one hard rock vid you show some ore in the daylight and what you looking for and at . Under the touch light you can’t really see the contrast as well . Keep the vids coming love it .
Thanks James! Much appreciated man 🤟🏿. The contrast is always an issue with the quartz on film unfortunately. Some of my shorts may give you a better idea of what to keep an eye out for. But in the grand scheme of things, looks don't really matter! Quartz can look fantastic, and have no gold in it. It can look Boney and rubbish, yet be loaded with gold! You just never know, until you crush the sample. That's the most important thing. Don't look, crush! Crush lots of small samples, then the data will start painting a picture for you 😁
How bloody awesome is that! Dam good 👍, I spend all day scratching out crevices to be lucky to get 0.5g! Can't wait for part 3! Thanks for the wicked adventure, Regards Andy Poverty prospecting Australia 🇦🇺
Most of our days are like that too Andy, don't worry. But only the good times get shown on video. We've been hunting for the next hotspot for a few months now, without success. But it will show up eventually 😁😁😁. Cheers Brother 🍻
Mate, this channel is just mindblowingly insane, like in every aspect! I would love to do what you do, put in that back breaking labour we see you do on the regular 💪 you guys are absolute legends. But anyway, screw you for now, all hail the queen of nuggety gully 🤣 what a find, and that reefy piece is absolutely gorgeous dude!!! Ahhhhh what a damn video, can't even begin to imagine the feelings you guys were getting pulling these things out, but you deserve it, that's for sure!!!!! Epic af 🤘🤘🤘🤘
Hahaha, yep, the boss deserves the spotlight after locating that thumper of a piece 😁. Thanks Dan! I really appreciate your kind words and enthusiasm! 🤟🏿🤟🏿
Well done mate. Had a spot like that once up here, but the gold was smaller… up to 1/4 oz. Found that on the best rock bars, the nuggets continued into the banks. Clean it all out 😎🇦🇺
Very true Adz! The banks around the hotspots copped a bloody flogging in the months following our great finds, but there could still be more hidding in there somewhere. We never get 100% of it 🤑
Greetings from Germany! I am yank living here and spend my summers in Oregon prospecting. Any chance you will Trommel that gully? Maybe you have and I just haven’t watched it! I very much enjoy your channel and your tireless efforts at prospecting!
Thanks heaps mate! Unfortunately we won't be able to trommel this gully, it's just way too far to carry in any serious equipment. Maybe if I had help from a couple of mates and we had quite a few days up our sleeves, but it would be a very serious mission. Usually taking in the detector, pick, tent, food and water is tough enough 🥵
Congratulations and well done, thats real good gold beyond belief almost to think stuff like that is still out there, very impressive i think the detecting is the go for the slugs on good ground i would also think youd do well with a sluice box there if there is finer gold if the old timers haven't touched much. Well done again.
Wasn't that a 6 ounce slug? I remember the videos. It was a very sad day, when Abyss dropped off the RUclips platform. But, that's the reality of it, RUclips can help make, or break a prospectors success!
Farrrrrr out mate...epic stuff, way to go! The sort of gold we would all like to have a crack at just once in our lfe ahahaa. Hope it's okay to ask, will these beauty's go to Grappy's? Wondering if I couldn't broker a deal with the Minister for War & Finance.😛 Thankyou for sharing and reminding us that it's still out there if we put in the effort!
Thanks Russ! Very few old timers even found this spot, so we were very lucky to come across it 😁. Unfortunately man, all of this gold was sold to a private buyer ages ago. But we're still on the hunt for the next spot, and eventually it will turn up. So I can send you an email if we get onto any in future if you like? Good bits are certainly getting rarer now.
Amazing spot you have here! Be careful how much information you give out, my local goldfield an hour or two south of you has someone dredging all the local creeks!
Ripper spot indeed, mate. I'm not too stressed about this nugget location. Very far out of the way. We usually get an influx of visitors locally after some of my vids, but there ain't much colour left locally, so they don't last long 😆. This local area was a real hotspot for dredging back in the day, much like yours I'd assume. Theres still a few sneaky buggers getting around with Dredges up here too, good luck to em I say. Looks like a difficult, and cold method to get gold. But it is usually less destructive and less messy, providing they don't damage the banks!
@@TheGoldmansChannel No big dredges down this way mate. I have a block of land 30 minutes north of you which I will be retiring to soon, would love to be able to come and look at your setup if you are open to that? Cheers Dave
@dppark96 Thanks Dave, please feel free to email me on the contact email at the end of the video, and we can discuss that further. Assuming we're close by, that shouldn't be an issue. But I am a bit cryptic about where we prospect, so hopefully I haven't lead you astray with our location 😁
Thanks mate! Not the factory coils, that's for sure. But the Nugget Finder Evo series are water resistant to 1.5m, that's why the little 8x6 is such a popular coil also. My 12x8 Evo is fantastic though, sleek and sturdy design, no water ingress issues yet. And have had it under water for hundreds of hours so far already. Can't say the same about the SDC2300, every SDC I've used has had coil water ingress issues unfortunately. However, Minelab are always fantastic and prompt on their warranty repairs 👍🏿
Stack that gold and silver brother!!! Prices are only going up from now on. Hard times, well, I won't know the difference because I've worked hard all my life. They say hard times are coming so keep stacking and saving.
Good to see ya Shiney! I'll sure try, very rarely do I hold gold for long though, as it keeps us going financially. Would love to put some aside, need another bonanza!
Thats just nuts that there was that much gold left behind or missed by the old boys. Is there much fine stuff in the wash? Your Lady is definetly a keeper, most women would be out of there at the first sign of leeches. I hate the welts they leave and the boots full of blood they cause. great video.
Very little fine stuff in the wash Jethro, compared to most other places anyway. It was a really strange spot up there, kind of nugget or nothing! The only thing that was guaranteed were the leaches 😅. Bloody things!
G'day Mark in California, I mention the name of the machine and the coil early on in the video, just before we start finding the gold. Please go back and review that section 😁. Cheers
$123/g, $3825/oz here in Australia this morning, Shiney. My thoughts are, if it goes up much more, we won't be able to prospect for it, because we will all be fighting a war. I hope it holds steady as it is. 😬😬
Wow well done that's a ripper of a gully. great finds👍
Thanks Graham, much appreciated mate 👍🏿 😁

thanks guys awesome vid, you have given us a feel for the buzz the old timers must have got pulling nuggets out of the creeks and gullys of long ago
Bloody oath Rod, can you imagine getting a time machine and taking a modern detector back to these virgin locations 170 years ago? 🤑🤑🤑
Heck yeah! Congratulations on spectacular finds!
Onya Garrett! Cheers man 🤟🏿

Awesome nuggets!! I can imagine putting a 4 inch dredge in there!
A 4" would do bloody fantastic in there if there was a bit more water. Just imagine getting right down to the bottom of all those crevices 🤤🤤🤤
Awesome job keep it up
Will do Doug! Thanks mate!
Awesome day out well done unreal spot brilliant videos
Thanks GoldFox!
FAA RRK. Cheers 🍻 and well done
Fooooorrrrkkk indeed RumPig 🤣 Cheers mate!
What a freaking slug!!! Oh my god! All hail the queen!!
We're not worthy! We're not worthy! 🤣
She's a champion, very proud of her.
Good work mate.
Thanks Mick! Few years between successes with the detector, but it came eventually!
Nice finds well done, hope you get plenty more. What state are you guys in?
Thanks Spruce! Victoria State mate 👌🏿
Great nuggets congrats 😊
Thanks mate! We were all very happy prospectors 😁
Last time i remember seeing gold like this found was abyss dredging when they found that massive 2oz slug

Chees mate.
Pleasure mate, hope all's well down there. Cheers 🍻
I’d love to get a metal detector one day and hobby look around. Family and mortgage first.
Good to see you've got your priorities in order, Blumack! Keep grinding mate 💪🏿

great looking spot mate, just wondering the coil on the 5000 can you have it under water

$2600 brother and some forecast $4k per ounce by the end of 2025 😊
