- SUPER NINTENDO WORLD™ takes you into the world of Super Mario™. Battle Team Bowser on the groundbreaking Mario Kart™ ride. Play interactive games throughout the land and track your score with a Power-Up Band™. Dine at Toadstool Cafe™, meet Mario and friends, and purchase exclusive merch at the 1-UP Factory™ store. Opens at Universal Studios Hollywood 2/17/2023.
Fun Fact: A lot of the land footage shown is from the one in Japan. You can tell by the locations being in different places compare to how the land in Hollywood actually looks.

You’re right. I go to universal quite often and the construction can be easily seen. Looks about 60% done. I’m quite surprised February is the opening day. Hopefully there’s a soft opening in January

Us Mario fans are so lucky! We’re getting a movie and a theme park in the US this coming year! So happy I’m alive to see this ❤
Usually I'm at Disney Parks fan but I consider Universal Studios to be the only other kind of Theme Park I would want to visit because they're the one that do what Disney does in doing storytelling not just for the ride but for the immersion that makes it feel like you're really in another world. Other theme parks like Knott's Berry farm and six flags Magic Mountain they're basically more about just rides but no real immersion to it if you ask me

If I want to enjoy something that's considered bad Media or just a cash grabs like the Disney Live action remakes I should be allowed to enjoy it.

this same park exists already in Japan and the MK ride is VERY slow and looks boring, apat from being visually cool

I’ve been waiting for this moment for quite some time! Not just for the last several years, but since I was a kid, I’ve wanted a park like this to exist. Count me in for February 17th, 2023.

but here is the problem we are old and we cannot act like children and that takes away from us the fun and feeling of it we know about it because we grew up with the video games and half of us remember the shows that featured nintendo characters like donkey kong country, the super mario brothers super show, megaman,and pacman, we remember all of them but now we are too old for this and getting older i would have loved this to be a kid growing up in this new generation of era, and that takes from us because we are adults not kids so we can't get nostalgia from this.

There’s a shuttle bus that leaves Super Nintendo World every .35 seconds. To catch the earliest possible bus you have to do a sub-pixel manipulation by waiting at the park entrance for a few extra seconds. This will cause you to get optimal ride patterns.
Those darn speed riders….always breaking the rules.

They can localize Super Nintendo World but they can't localize Mother 3
I mean, when it was animated, their lip flaps looked like they were speaking English, so I'm guessing Japan's is the one that's "localized."

Interesting that they named it Toadstool Cafe instead of Toad's Cafe (Japan had Kinopio Cafe.) Not complaining, the word Toadstool hasn't been used a lot recently so it's nice to have it back in some form.
I guess "Toadstool's" sounded more appetizing to marketing than "Toad's", despite the difference being the inclusion of the word "stool"

For me, maybe they make it official that Princess Peach is called "Peach Toadstool" or something like that. Hopefully the movie will clarify that too.
It's kinda cute that Toad"stool" can also work as a seating furniture pun, to fit the cafe aesthetic.
I feel like I must go now since it opens on my birthday and I've never been to Universal Studios. I can't wait!

This is an insanely good idea. Like, it makes so much sense. I'm looking at the Mario characters and the merch and the rides and it's like damn, they should have been doing this for 20 years.
I'm actually shocked no one thought of this during the amusement park craze of the 80s/90s. If I was an investor, I would have jumped on this over "McDonaldland" or "Atlantis"

When this becomes a success, and it surely will be. I would LOVE other franchise such as Zelda, Metroid, Kirby, F-ZERO, Star Fox, etc to participate in Super Nintendo World.
Just imagine a *Metroid themed laser tag* or a *Pikmin garden* for decoration.
The possibilities are endless!
Now that you mention it, I would love if Star Fox not only got it’s own land in SNW at Universal, but also had a ride that is really immersive and a lot similar to & a mix of Disney’s Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance and Epcot’s Guardians of the Galaxy dark indoor coaster.
In the main plot of the ride, you are either new recruits of the Cornarian Army or the Star Fox team which consists of Fox McCloud (the leader), Falco Lombardi, Slippy Toad, and Krystal the blue vixen. (Fox’s telepathic Love Interest from Star Fox Adventures & Assault). The Evil Andross has a found a way (or potentially someone else) to bring himself back to life after his initial defeat with Fox back during the Lylat Wars. But with your help, you can help Fox and his team (his friends really) to foil Andross’s plans and defeat him once again. Along the way they’re will be familiar faces both as appearances and mentioned. Katt Monroe (A pink feline who has a big time crush on Falco and loves to tease him a lot) would appear at least once. You obviously can’t have Star Fox without Wolf O’ Donnell and his team, Star Wolf.😆👍 As well as a mention of an old, but OG member of the Star Fox team, Peppy Hare. (May Rick May Rest In Peace.🙏)

That’s an amazing idea 🥳 I’ve always wanted to see how the “outer space” themed franchises like Metroid, Kirby, and Star Fox would look and feel like in REAL LIFE. Imagine seeing a well designed power suit Samus and Star Fox characters walking around and listening to their beloved theme music playing out in the background of their sites at Super Nintendo World 😇
Which is why they should have made this an entire theme park rather than this tiny area with one ride which is built for Instagram.
I got something in the mali 2 days ago and it was a official letter from Universal studios and it says we can go to the mario section when it comes out so thank you Universal Studios!

The Orlando version is going to be much bigger with a Yoshi ride and Donkey Kong ride along with the Mario Kart ride. That version opens in 2025

This comes out a week an a half after my 12th birthday and I’ve been waiting for this place since 2020 and just by looking at the video, I could already tell from right off the bat, that this is gonna be worth the 3 year wait. Universal Studios, you mad lads! You’ve designed Super Nintendo World so good that it doesn’t even look real! And I’m really glad this is opening in Hollywood, because I literally live in the city right next to it. I can hardly wait to record a vlog there!

You're right, Chris is great for mario, but only in the movie were he speaks full sentences. The theme park is based off of the game, not the movie based off the game.

I went to Universal California recently and you can see it being built from the escalators down to the Jurassic park ride.

Toad I’m pretty sure is apart of the meet in greets, as far as I have seen from the Japan verison. A toad mascots greets you somewhere I remember in one of the videos

This is the one time I will need to visit Universal! Sadly it seems that some of the things in Japan (especially the Toad meet and greet and Yoshi ride) aren’t present in Hollywood, although for the former, we might see him!
