- Who is Jesus? In Luke 14, Jesus Himself answers the question for us, declaring Himself to be the Lord’s Anointed. Alistair Begg urges us to come to a decision regarding Jesus’ proclamation. Will we respond with doubt and wrath, like Jesus’ listeners? Or will we come to know Him as the one able to give liberty to captives, sight to the blind, and freedom to the oppressed?

Hi James,
Your interpretation of v1 might be what many of us think as we first read v1. But then John shocks us with v2: The 'Word' is a person (you forgot V1 was connected to v2).
You'll need an awakening through the Spirit so that the Word is primary and not the authority of some human spin. I'm praying for you in the name of Jesus.
So...where was Moses in the beginning if the Laws of Moses are, in fact, The Word....your logic is inherently devoid of any actual logic.
