Stayed in Japan for about 2 weeks ago going the golden route. Such an amazing country, will definitely go back another time. If you find yourself in Akihabara you might consider to get some ramen in Kyushu Jangara (best we tried) but there are plenty other great ramen shops. Also if you pass through Nara, the Todaiji temple is crazy. Not the modt beautiful but such scale, have fun! 😊
10:23 If you are 4 hours early, they are definitely cleaning the room. You didn’t have to wait in the lobby because most hotel receptions would keep your luggage in storage before check-in/ after check-out!
We definitely didn’t have to wait in the lobby but we honestly didn’t have it in use to walk around more. That nap brought us back to life! Thanks for watching!
Wow Wow Wow!! You made it to Japan pretty cool, beautiful country very organized and clean. The weather is perfect this time, no sweating no honking Dev lol. Love your vlog, thanks for sharing ❤
Thank you for the name of the rice ball and the tip for making match properly. Also thank you for letting us know about eating and walking. All your tips are helpful so thank you :)
Eating while walking is not prohibited! I think that eating around was a problem because it happened in an area with a lot of shops. Some places prohibit eating while walking for reasons such as walking into other stores and touching products while eating, eating in crowded places, and bumping into people and getting your clothes dirty. As long as you watch the eating scene in this video, there is no problem at all.
Thanks for clearing that up with us :) While we were eating our ice cream we were not around to many people so hopefully we were being respectful! We would never intently do something disrespectful. It does make sense not to eat in busy places. Thanks so much for watching and your comment :)
@@KeithandDev It's true that eating while walking is not legally prohibited in Japan, but you should do it as little as possible. Eating while walking is basically considered bad manners, and there are Japanese young people who do it occasionally, but they are looked down upon as badly raised kids. Japanese people quietly overlook foreigners who eat around, but they subconsciously think it's a unpleasant. Some Japanese are concerned about foreign tourists and say they don't mind, but the truth is that they don't. And I think Japanese people hate sitting on the side of the road eating and drinking rather than eating while walking. Anyway, if you're going to eat or drink outside, I think it's better to sit on a chair, such as a bench.👍However, there are some exceptions, such as festivals or outdoor events where street food is sold and people are expected to eat while walking.
We both have Peak Design 35/40L backpacks. We love love love them. They have been our life for the last year and a half and still a great bag :) In the description of this video there is a link to the website and if you do decide to get one it supports our channel :)
@@KeithandDev I can't speak English so I use Google Translate. I don't know the nuances of the word picnic, so I might be wrong, but we eat lunch in a park or other place. In that case, throw it in the park's trash can, or take it home if there is no trash can. On the other hand, in the summer, many people have barbecues on riverbeds, and throwing away trash there has become a social problem. This is the dual nature of Japanese manners. I really hate it.
It is our pleasure to see foreign travelers like you two enjoy our country 😊 Actually, we do sometimes eat while walking, inconspicuously, when too hungry , and usually bring trash back home unless finding trash cans, as you may imagine. Enjoy and please have a nice and safe trip😊
If you have any trouble, please consult the Japanese people around you They are not good at English, but sure can help you Please do not worry The majority of Japanese people want you guys to have fun in Japan Please come again🌸
Hello! Sorry for the sudden message, my name is Kim. I'm not good at anything except Japanese, so I use Google Translate. I'm sorry if you can't understand me. The reason I sent this message is because I had a question I wanted to ask you. My question is about videotaping and other services when traveling to Japan. First, I would make a travel plan with a traveler coming to Japan in advance via message, meet him/her at the airport or other places, and accompany him/her for sightseeing with a camera. Then, I would like to start a business to videotape or photograph the trip and sell the edited video. Rates start at $333 per night and are negotiable if the trip is longer or takes longer to film. I am also available to assist you with your trip and answer any questions you may have while sightseeing. We will be using an earphone interpreter for interpretation. If so, do you find this service attractive? Would you use it or recommend it to family members? Do you think the fee is expensive? Thank you for reading to the end.
You can definitely talk, you just have to be respectful of others and talk quietly. Very respectful people in Japan, it’s impressive. Thanks for watching! 😊
I’m currently in Osaka, and was in Tokyo last week. I was stuck inside the train station for half an hour before I could get out. My first impression and frustration is no English sign anywhere. People don’t speaking English even at the information booth, which made things much more difficult. Verizon internet via no help, and so Google maps. Finally surfaced onto the ground and and after so many signs language, I finally got to my hotel. Next day, walking around and found city is vey clean and beautiful. But getting around is a pain in the rear. All you had is train stations without English translation. So we took taxi which is expensive. Also order food is another is another issue. No English menu, and if it does then very short like fried chicken. I would say probably only 10% people is speaking English or less. Don’t take me wrong, I love Japan but look like they are not caring about tourists. I would love to see at least they put English sign up along with their sign. Then I went to Osaka, and staying in Intercontinental hotel. It’s a nice hotel just like in the US, and it has a microwave which until now I still can figure out how to use it. I use Google translate but no help. To make it short, go on a tour if you want to visit Japan. Or spend a lot of time learning their train system. Also translate the menu before you go to the restaurant. I’m so frustrating with this trip, and don’t listen whatever people said on RUclips.
Sorry your not enjoying your time there. Getting around Tokyo was difficult but it’s part of travel, and it wasn’t a big deal, you live and learn! Not having English everywhere is also part of the experience when traveling. After-all, we are the ones visiting their country. Best of luck with your trip, I’m sure you’ll get better at it!! Thanks for watching! 😊

@@KeithandDevit is not against the law.. empty street - nobody will care. Not really free i guess (not observatory) caretta shiodome near shimbashi
Where we went was actually free as it was a look out at the top of a building, there were also fancy restaurants but we did not go to them.
Tokyo……😍🤩😊
