Steelhead Chaser that’s the thing with pike. If you see a follow and they don’t bite your lure, keep casting at the same area. If that pike is interested, it will keep following your lure and might hit your lure. I’ve watched it happen lots of times
I just bought that shiner last week. Threw it 5 times and took it off. Didn't like how the tail moved (didn't think it moved enough). But now watching your video I see that it actually does move good but just can't tell from the surface of the water. Have u tried using scent? I have not but was thinking maybe it might activate those pike that turn away after giving it a sniff. Great vid.
Fishing with Michael Consul I was using liquid mayhem on this swimbait. You can see it on the belly of the lure when it was wrapped upside down. I think it could be beneficial when they’re very skittish
Just ordered a couple of them and can hardly wait to try them on our monster bass here in Florida! 👍
Nice 👍. I hope you smash
stunning footage in this clear waters🤩!! the upside down part is great😆 it almost swims better that way!!
Cool to see them react. Now I know why I’m missing fish
@PUMPKNOWSFISHING whats your modification, how successful was your mods?
Very interesting how the one pike hit it even though it was upside down.
It prolly thought it was dying that’s why
Any idea what is going on with eye on that pike at 5:50?
H Saban maybe a eye infection? I’ve never seen that on a eye of a pike before. It would’ve been cool to have caught it.
Looks like pop eye disease but that’s only common in domesticated fish
I remember this weekend many of the pike were short striking and following but weren’t committing.
I’ve been getting a lot of short strikes the last 2 weeks
Great video really gives insight the how pike bite at a swimbait
Damn horrible hook rate😂
Hiw well do these hold up against toothy fish like this?thinking of grabbing some of these for pike fishing in northern manitoba.
With any swimbaits they will get chewed up might lose a tail after a few fish
How do you miss it twice with two hooks
Michael Smith watch it in slow motion and you’ll see how the hooks were outside the fish’s mouth
Lol he just couldnt resist a second go at it. You see him thinkin bout it too..... hmmmm something was up the first time, f#ck it om nomnomnom

It wasn't the bait, it was the camera that had them skittish
How far is the camera up from the lure?
So crazy!!!
lyubakavideo yea! Same pike hitting the lure 3 times before finally getting hooked
PUMP KNOWS FISHING I was gonna say without the #WaterWolf we'd never know how many times there'd been takes
Golden shiner swimbait
