- In this video, I will be explaining my thoughts on the new GameStop Retro that became a thing recently from someone in Puerto Rico that sadly cannot enjoy the hunt well since they do not exist in Puerto Rico anymore. I feel like this is just getting ahead of being able to sell retro games before gaming goes 100% digital.
So for example if PS6 gen goes 100% digital like in its second half it will be 'retro' in the sense that physical games are retro. Heck they might even stock PS5 games too then as 'retro'.
@@xxnike0629xx Maybe in like 5-10 years GameStop would consider PS5 as retro, thats still a long way to go. PS4 is still alive and kicking too so me personally none of us are prepared for PS6 yet. Hope Switch 2 is still physical, I think they will be, Nintendo knows they are still in high demand
There must be a lot of people who don’t play games any more but still have a lot of old games squirreled away, but they don’t want to go through the trouble of selling on eBay. If they see the Retro section in GameStop, maybe it will encourage people to bring in their hidden treasures.

This is actually a good thing. Its sad not all will support retro, but honestly, I got a store for that in my hometown so, not too much worries. Ill be glad at least some GameStops are going back to retro.
EDIT: I wanna add, while PS3, Xbox 360, and Wii are nearly 20 years old, they are only two console generations apart from our current console gen. Retro would apply to any generation 3 or more years back, so technically they arent retro yet. They will b once we get something like PS6 or Xbox whatever.

Game On is the closest to GameStop we ever gonna get in the island
@@PorterDino145 that, Game World, and I guess Ace Collectors which I also need to do another video on soon next time I go to the metro. I hope in the future we can get more Game On Expansions. But I know the economy ain’t too good for that, I mean they closed their Kiosk location in Mayaguez Mall recently.
