Thanks for watching. Cheers
The first time I heard this I was 9yrs old, it made my soul ache, it still does and now I am 55.
Hope you read all the comments on these videos once in a while, you have so many people who love and appreciate you never forget that brother.
My favorite thing about listening to the original with headphones on is the way Page mixed it so it travels around your head in an almost circular motion...Page is such a wizard at mixing sounds. Thanks for the breakdown of such a brilliant piece of music.
Page mixed it or Eddie Kramer?
Brilliant playing of a brilliant tune! My favorite solo acoustic tune - ever. I bought the vinyl when it 1st came out in 1975 and played this tune 100s of time. It puzzled me to no end as to how Page played it till I found out the actual tuning. I eventually played it well enough but this version here is spot on and simply perfection. Well done, Sir!
A timeless piece of music..... something I will never get tired of hearing... a Masterpiece
Absalutely
Flawless. Superb rendition.
this guy is amazing.... I hope he's a studio musician
My favorite acoustic song of all time, by any artist. I could listen to it on a loop for hours on end and never get tired of it. I fell in love with it as a teenager in the 80s.
The best player and teacher on the internet ..PERIOD!
My favorite acoustic riff of all time. Jimmy Page is a once in a lifetime genius. Still get chills hearing it
page is such a genius its really mind blowing
Hands down simply THE BEST on youtube ! Cuts to the chase & always gets the job done perfectly...Thanks Bro !
best guitar teacher on RUclips!
Your a bloody genius to be able to bring to us....Thanks v much
Your 24 min lesson on how to play this is superb
Thank you for that. I've just found you and seen a couple of your videos. After 54 years of hacking with a pick I'm a rookie all over again and THIS inspires me. I'm gonna haft cover your cover one of these days! Thanks again.
Great to see you’re still around. I’m back at guitar and I still stink.
An absolutely brilliant performance and demonstration. Thank you for your excellent acoustic Jimmy Page stuff!
Beautifully played
Beautiful! You playing is remarkably clean. Thanks for the video.
You nailed it, dude.
There's real magic in this song if you can nail it. Jimmy put it in there.
Such a beautifully hypnotic piece. I'm assuming it's played in an open tuning of some kind.
@@luckydog-287 Doh! - Who's idea was that?
@@-Pol- - Must have been Jimmy Page's idea.
If you watched the video, you’d know this
@@HipsterDoofus100 at what point in this short clip are we told the tuning, please let me know. Anyone new or not very experienced in guitar would not hear the alternate tuning.
@@ksell5441 He did the full lesson for this song 7 years ago which explains the tuning and every note played. I have no idea why the demo for something he did a full lesson on7 years ago is coming out now. Notice the upload date of this link ruclips.net/video/CEfxka0kxkY/видео.html
So glad you finally put this on RUclips as well! One of my favorite lessons of yours
Bought the TAB for this and Going to California from you. Spectacular! Thanks
Fantastic Andy (as always). Such a beautiful song. As you said, I’ve always assumed I’d never be able to play it but will give it a go thanks to you.
I've discovered you recently and think you do the best and most accurate tutorials and playing. You are criminally underrated even with your 500k subs. I don't know anything about you but assume you are Canadian! Is it true, eh? Keep it up my brother!
So beautifully played !!! Thank you so much for this !!!
Perfection. Too good 👍🏼
Beautiful -- original and your faithful rendition alike
God damn that was so beautiful 😢 sounds exactly like the record
Perfectly played as always. I hope you're doing well Andy.
Played Beautifully!!
His playing so good, it's like he wrote the songs.
Nicely done .
Absolutely brilliant.
Outstanding.
Breast of Gold
Stunning play x
man this brings me back . great vid
Fantastic!
Very nice, thanks.
Excellent rendition 🎶👍
Stunning!!
Wow, so clean 😮😊
Excellent!
Bravo. Well done!! 👏
Could you do a lesson on eddie money trinidad. Love the guitar work in that song. Especially the leads. Thank you for all the free lessons. I've turned a lot of people on to your channel. They love it. Always straight to point and how to play correctly. Couldn't ask for a better teacher. Again thank you. Your a master player.
I’m trying to re-learn this following your lesson. I’ve been playing in the correct tuning but not the correct picking patterns for years and it’s so difficult to play it correctly, especially as I have a milder form of Tourette’s that means my hands and arms are tense and unable to relax and it causes me to shake so it’s a challenge but I’ll get there eventually.
Beautiful.
Beautiful 😊
Wow…. Nailed it!
Smooth as silk
Wow, great!
Yep thats it but at times it sounded like another guitar was playing. Important factor: at the end I believe the picking style changes. It sounds like Jimmy’s doing triplets in his picking. I didnt see that in your picking nor did I hear it. But overall that was very cool
Just Wow!
Beatiful
Bravo!!!👏👏👏👌🤘
I'd like to see you do a Led Zeppelin demo of Goin to California and the instructions as well

How about No Quarter next?
That sir, was fucking impressive
Magiko ❣️
A+
It's in an alternate tuning. Cadd6 or something. You can hear the chord at the end.
I love your videos! I was wondering if you could make a video on how to play "Goodtime man like me ain't got nog business (singing the blues)" from Jim Croce :)
bravissimo
COULD YOU PLEASE TEACH MEXICO BY JAMES TAYLOR????
How did you get the "stereo" effect with this recording?
LIKE!
What gauge strings works best for this tuning. Thanks for teaching such a beautiful song.
I think he uses hd light elixir strings
The demo for this song is coming out 7 years later after you did the full lesson which was great btw. Was that just a recently caught oversight?
Hey friend, think you replied to something I sent to someone else. I am very aware of shut up and play’s body of work. I was merely responding to someone’s silly overly aggressive response to a perfectly normal question. Thanks anyway 👍🏻
My demo has been blocked in the US until now. Cheers, Andy.
@@ShutupAndPlayGuitarTutorials Such a beautiful demo, really the cleanest rendition of this piece that I've heard! Do you know why it was unblocked?
Man does this make me think of the Orkney Islands and the Aurora Borealis.
Would be nice to tell us what open tuning he is using.?
I actually like the way you play it better than Page... mainly because your playing is so clean and Page had some effects going on which really are not necessary. It's a beautiful song that doesn't need all the crazy panning, echoplex or whatever he had going on. Just so nice to hear a pure and clean version ... thank you..!
Sounds 100% to me.
Was this multi-tracked?
What kind of guitar are you playing it has a great sound. Looks like a Martin, but can’t tell
There's a link to my gear page in the description box below each video. I list everything I use there. Cheers
What the tuning ??? DADGAD , Open G , or DGCGCD?
I used to play this in standard tuning many years ago ...the extremely hard way. At the time I was unaware of any tunings besides standard and flat.
I wish
I realy would like to know you personaly and play with you❤️🎸☀️You have a very nice voice and feeling. Maybe we are the same age and love and play the same music. If you visit South Spain (Tarifa) let me please know⭐💙✨Love you and thank you all lessons🧡☀️
It’s a Taylor?
Amazing, but this is not new, i watched this video years ago, yet it says you put it up 2 days ago ????
It’s Physical.
standard tuning?
No definitely not standard tuning, its some weird c tuning if I remember right, cacgce
Every song you play, sir, would sound 25% better if you weren't playing that No Low End Taylor.
stolen from Roy harper
Hats off
@@wolfyklassen most people never heard of him
@@hrxy1 most people never heard of most people
Thank God Zeppelin stole or we wouldn't have all this great music of theirs to appreciate!
That is just a lie. If you have nothing to back it up just shut up.
Beautiful.
