Thanks for this. I just bought my first Bernina - it’s a 710 and I was SO confused by the 1/4” feet. Thankfully she did tell me about the feed dogs being covered with some of the feet. I was still confused. There is so much to learn. 🙂
GREAT information Jeremy! First off, GREAT WATCH you are wearing!! You're a class act in not mentioning the woman's name, but I do hope you let her know her information wasn't correct. THANK YOU to another person who uses the needle plate markings for seam allowances. That's how I learned to sew as, at that time, there was no 1/4" pressure foot ever heard of.... LOL I do sometimes move my needle position around for certain projects and/or I use the needle plate measurement marks. Thank you for all you do in sharing your knowledge w/our sewing community. Cheers from Seattle!
Thank you, Andrea, for the compliment on my watch. I love the old thing and will wear it till the day I die lol. I just can’t give it up for a new smart watch! It’s my pleasure to help. Hopefully I’ll roll out videos more frequently 😊
@@jeremydickerson8243 OH HELL NO don't give up that watch for a new 'modern' anything!! Or wait, maybe you SHOULD give up that ole thang for a new one, and send that watch to me immediately! I know many of us would love more frequent videos from you. :D
In quilting we really want a scant quarter inch. Why don’t they come up with a scant quarter in foot so we aren’t moving needle to achieve it. Thank you

I am confused already. can you please tell me which foot fits the artista 730
Hi Jeremy, is there a 1/4” foot for the older vintage machines?
Yes and it is also a #37 foot. It will have the number in black and will have the thin pins and a rounded back.
