Good question, M Dineen. My guess is Yes. Processors work in millions of cycles per second. We live in slow motion compared to electricity. Automated vehicles already sense traffic around them, traffic that can travel as fast as a tennis ball (up to 100 mph, 160 kph). So Yes.

@@aniksamiurrahman6365 No I wouldn't say so. Lidar data contain much more information that you cannot access as a photo. By example It has alot of uses for tree canopy. You can't take a picture of a forest and distinguish each tree one from another, with lidar you can do such thing.

Basically cheap lidar data will look vague as they do not use alot of 'laser power'. On the other hand expensive lidar data will be denser because they use more 'laser power'. I guess it is like comparing 480p photo to 720p, more pixels (dots)
LIDAR is already antiquated. This will never work for complete Self Driving. It's stupid having to map out every area. Look at GM ... it's having all kinds of problems with their LIDAR.
If you are in the market for this commercial system, you already know more than this video can teach you. lol Kinda pointless except for marketing I guess.
