The advantage of the inverted arow wing is that the plane can perform better acrobatics at high angle of attacks with little loss of portance. Also, on a normal wing, the airflow tends to separate (detach) at the tip of the wing, wich makes turbulences around the entire wing; but on an inverted arrow wing, the airflow tends to separate and go on the jonction of the wing with the fuselage, and this gives the plane a better aerodinamic and less turbulences arround the wings.

Yes, it does. fairly limited though. The internal weapons bay helps a lot, and it also has a form of radar absorbent material coating the outer skin. Although it isn't as effective as the F-117 or the F-22 raptor..
Imagine if SU-57 with its all stealth capabilities and thrust vectoring, implemented this forward swept wing design. Stealth and extreme maneuverability. Would be the ultimate fighter aircraft.
@AiIRFiGhTER: the forward facing wing on the SU-47 Berkut allows for faster flying than a backing facing wing. I don't know why but it makes the plane faster.
The American's made the first High Performance Stealth Fighter, the Russians made the first Reversed swept wing fighter. If we worked together that combination would be absolutely deadly. Amen to the creators of these two planes. Just goes to show what happens when you put your mind at it.
The description is wrong. This project's first flight was in 1997, and never entered production. The new Sukhoi PAK FA is the 5th gen according to the WIKI.

In fact there're russian vehicles from 60s and 70s on ukraine right now. 2nd army in the world looting toilettes and TVs : - ))
fake news
SU-47 is a Soviet designed aircraft they only made one and it was discontinued because of the USSR’s collapse, it is an amazing feat of engineering but it most likely will never be produced again.
And after that, these people say that there is no propaganda in the West...toilets, televisions...Maybe you're also one of those who believes that the Russians are dismantling microwaves to get components for guided missiles?

I realy love the Su series
This is just about the best Su-47 video I've seen. Most of them have poorer resolution.
Amazing.. Thanks 👍🇳🇿
Just curious, is the su47 super maneuverable? Can it perform moves like the pugechev cobra?
I hope I get a serious answer.
Such a shame this plane never went into production, it’s an amazing machine!
@kevin...its for both, the swept forward wings distribute the pressure differently than normal wings.
I've got to say, Russians make some amazing things. They are also very innovative.
This plane is out of this world!
What a wonderful plane!!!
IT'S HUGE! The SU-30 is a massive aircraft 1.5x bigger than the F-15. This is at least 2x the size.
Would be the ultimate fighter aircraft.
the most beautiful aircraft ever made
Russians have great engineering and designs.
I am from bangladesh and I love russian people.
AND SU 47 PLANE IS THE BEST I HAVE SEEN IN MY LIFE.
cool plane looks futuristic
@AiIRFiGhTER: the forward facing wing on the SU-47 Berkut allows for faster flying than a backing facing wing. I don't know why but it makes the plane faster.
The American's made the first High Performance Stealth Fighter, the Russians made the first Reversed swept wing fighter. If we worked together that combination would be absolutely deadly. Amen to the creators of these two planes. Just goes to show what happens when you put your mind at it.
This plane is actually awesome America has nothing like it
The description is wrong. This project's first flight was in 1997, and never entered production. The new Sukhoi PAK FA is the 5th gen according to the WIKI.
Now that I'm done ranting, the Su-47 is a beautiful aircraft, way ahead of its time and was closer to being a production fighter than the X-29 and also a really fun plane to fly in simulators and video games.
beautifull aircraft ..gretiings from republic of macedonia
