I have been hurt by the adjustment screws on Fender strat saddles...my right hand hates those saddles and I like to palm mute the bridge....335 is my comfort zone ..I don't use a pick much so my fingers are close to the strings when I strum or pluck.
Try ‘HG Contoured Vintage Guitar Saddles’, they look vintage but the screws are hidden so totally smooth. I think they sound great and its totally reversable. I have them on 3 guitars
I bought a Serus T and then a Serus J. I ended up selling the T to get a TC, and I've had both of them for a while. My only gripe with the TC is that I am not a big fan of the Fralin Modern PAFs. No fault of the guitar...just not my favorite pickups. The Serus J, however, is absolutely perfect. Gonna be a lifer.
10:22 Just curious, and sorry if I missed it but did you reach out to Novo? See if they could fix it for you? I’ve been drooling over Rhett’s for a while now and I always wonder if they’re as good as I want them to be.
I have a question about the irritation that affected your arm. I ordered a Miris J Custom order guitar with binding on the front end back. It is not checkerboard but the standard white binding. Which edge is it that rubs into your arm, the top or the back? And if this is the same size body as the Serus J I don't think it'll make any difference for me because it fits me perfectly. Any advice?
Its the front binding. I dont think yours will be as sharp as mine. No worries. ;) if so just take a fine sandpaper and smoothen it. I should have done the same tbh.
@@Gaslight.Guitar I did actually. Mostly because of the same issue you were having. But also because it was an esquire and I missed having a neck pup. But double bound teles look so damn cool! @@Gaslight.Guitar it just came tonight. The mirus has a real slight carve on top where the forearm is so it’s a touch thinner there where you arm would rub on the binding. But the pick-ups were so hot and with a guitar at this price point, I was not comfortable changing out pickups until I found what I was looking for. I've owned two - a Serus T and a Serus S. I sold both. And the bodies are waaaay to big - I agree they were simply uncomfortable to play. I know own a Suhr and a Schecter US custom shop and am much happier. Novos are cool if you dig the visual aesthetic I suppose, but not at the price point all these guitar lawyers are selling them for.
Novo and a Benson Amp are this Generation’s Custom 24 and a Mesa boogie. Overly Hyped, well marketed, prestige musical instruments that are wholly impractical for the average musician each for very specific reasons. We don’t need more $5,000+ guitars.
@@deaconddd I was just on Reverb and some guy listed a used Novo for $7000. People are literally insane.
