- Jutaan tahniah kepada Shila Amzah yang telah berjaya melangkah ke final untuk pertandingan nyanyian Asian Wave. Pertandingan yang berlangsung di Shanghai ini telah berlangsung menampilkan penyanyi daripada pelbagai negara asia. Daripada 30 orang peserta, hanya 12 orang terpilih ke final yang akan berlangsung pada 20 September ini. Pusingan awal telah pun berlangsung daripada 31 Ogos sehingga 6 September yang lalu. Pada pusingan pertama, Shila Amzah menyanyikan lagu "Set Fire to the Rain" dan pada pusingan ke-dua, lagu kegemaran Shila iaitu " Forever Love" dinyanyikan.

John Bagyan actually there's nothing written in our Quran that forbids women from singing. What is forbidden is if a woman sings sexily that it brings out unnecessary lustful and sexual thoughts than that's haram.
A talent is a gift from God. If a woman has it and not use it she's not appreciating it then.
If it's haram per se, why than did God give her the talent for a woman as the means to earn a living? 😀 Hope this explanation helps

As soon as I was going to watch this video, I checked few comments sayin that 'what is it on her head? ' , 'Shila don't deserve to be a singer. Muslim girl singing a song infront of others is shay'and etc. 1. Shila Amzah is a Muslim. Yup. No wonder she is wearing hijab on her head and jubah (long dress that covering all part of her body) well.. I guess that shouldn't be a problem because I think she look nice wearing all of these stuff. Come on, it is just a simple thing. Be quiet. Problem solved. Okay? Okay. 2nd. I don't think it is a good manner to have said that she doesn't deserve to be this to be that to do this to do that its all ruined its all trashy bla bla.. Just NO.
