Nothing here & no one to listen, the mocking sounds of solitude surround me
There are no options to speak of & facing the quiet night I tuck myself in tight
And how could I compare the hollow feelings to the loneliness & despair
And even though I Sleep In Darkness, the ghost of my past is aware
No offers of devotion or compassion or a sweet word to remind me anymore
A boundless journey of creasing lines that multiply upon my weary face
Without any remorse I follow the winding path & somehow stay the course
I Sleep In Darkness whispering curses into the empty air & continue to stare
