It has been my experience (I'm 84) most kids that's farm raised and have chores to do, with interaction with their parents teaching, give less trouble and grow up to be responsible adults....keep leading your boys like you are doing...you have the most important job in the history of the world, parenting.......
I agree. I am so afraid to watch my grand children grow up. We live in Denver and the parents are always in the home. My daughter takes care of the grandson and my coming grandchild and my son-in-law runs meetings and does his work from his home office. They are very hands on. I am the conservative one but they are very attentive, but i think I will be around for a good long time to enforce conservative ideas.

Love that you have Proverbs 22:6 on the screen. Also love the relationship your family has. It's great that you don't allow stupid criticism get to you. One piece of advice that I keep in mind is " Don't allow flattery to go to your head nor criticism to go to your heart". Blessings!

Hey Chad I'm in Imperial Missouri just about 35 miles southwest of St.Louis. Love your videos. Watch them everyday. Love watching how Case and Adler keep changing. I'm a 71 years young great Grammie who lives vicariously through you and Grandpa and Grandma. I always wanted a big farm house and to be able to grow my own food have a few chickens maybe a pig or two and a cow. Then I'd have all I needed without depending on stores as I bake my own bread and unfortunately I never got that. So thank you and your family for sharing your lives..you've become my illegally adapted family... 😂 May God keep you all in His loving arms and protect you all. Stay safe and always be YOU!!

Chad i love your videos. As a single disabled female with a 15 yr old son that im raising after raising his 26 yr old sister and now helping her with her 2 little ones , i love the way your raising your sons. My children learned young of working a small farm. From time they were born sitting in the hay in baby seat watching with animals seeing them through the gate, and when able helping by carring a bucket they could handle wile walking with grain in it. They grow up so much better and usually respectful. Keep doing you, you make my day by watching your videos... Thank you
I love how you stick to your convictions ( I think that’s the right word 🤨). Advice from others can be helpful at times but doing what YOU feel is right for you, your family and your farm is the most important thing and you do that. I think that’s awesome. You can clearly see Smokey isn't an aggressive dog.. you've been doing that since she was a pup! If she were aggressive, you would have lost your hands a LONG time ago. Just good old fashion play for the pup!

Roughhousing with your dog will make her reflexes better and faster and make her better able to defend herself if the need arises. You are exercising her defense, attack skills and knowledge. AND she will hold back when dealing with you and will know better how to control her reactions. And the interactions between you and Adler are superb. You are putting more knowledge into his brain than you can imagine. AND, as time goes by, he will be much better able to learn new things and have basic smarts that will make ANY learning quicker and easier for him. And teaching him interpersonal skills will be totally priceless when he has to cope with this messed up world.
For MY money, in my NOT so humble opinion, you are doing everything right. EVEN any mistakes you may make, will serve everyone well. Keep on, keepin on. I will tussle with any of the haters and meddlers that don't agree with you.
I do believe that you are doing a great job on the farm.

Just an observation. Goats are herd animals. Most of who have herds, know there is a herd queen, who manages the herd. For those who have LGDs, the LGD seems to become the herd queen. Smoke is a beauty!
