There are also some people who do have the money but rather invest it in something else. Brands like Kate Spade, Michael Kors, and Steven Madden have fun colors, are very accessible, and are ALWAYS on sale. Perfect for someone who wants a nice bag, without breaking the bank.
I love my neverfull but you’re right it’s not a $2000 bag. I got mine before the price increase and paid $1690. The last price increase was huge and I think that’s why so much canvas is in stock now. When I bought my neverfull, I had to stalk the site for weeks to get the exact print and interior color I wanted. Now the neverfull is in stock online in every color combination all the time.
Wow! 1690 is a lot for the Neverfull 😮 I bought mine (the MM) almost 7 years ago at the boutique and I “only” paid € 945 ($ 1029). I will never pay today’s price. Even pre-loved prices have been through the roof. 😩
Omg so true I got both my speedy for 1k now they're 1500. When I tell you I was on the LV website daily or had to call the stores down in wailiki to get them 😅 crazy how theyre so easy to get now. Fast forward I just got the nevwrfull 6 months ago ans I paid the new price.
I still love my LV reverse monogram LYXBAG clutch! It's versatile, fits a variety of items, and is definitely a workhorse! I think seeing it everywhere (like the LV speedy) is proof that it's already a classic.

I couldn’t agree with you more! The quality of LV is not what it used to be. I bought my first Neverfull GM and speedy 35 10 years ago when it was less than $1000. And then I purchased a few SLG pieces and speedy 30s in both mono and damier in 2017 for less than $800 each of course because I purchased it when I traveled to Paris. The quality does not match the price today. I would never purchase a neverfull for $2000 today. They have lost their minds! It is crazy that people are saying that some of these mirror replicas are better in quality than the authentic ones. They don’t have to do better either because people will continue to purchase. Sad. I’m good with my collection, and I am done until they get it together.

My entry level bags were a Speedy 25 and a Carryall 45. I still have them and they are both 1990 bought new. Now, I buy only vintage in excellent condition. Love using them as well.
I’m so thankful for your videos. I had a Neo Noe (online purchase) that was experiencing glazing issues after just a few months. I ran across one of your older videos about LV bags that you shouldn’t buy. Thanks to you I learned that I could likely exchange that particular bag by taking it to the store prior to one year of purchase. Neo Noe has known quality issues. I exchanged it in-store with no issues and paid a few extra dollars for the LV GM Loop (which I LOVE). If it wouldn’t have been for your video, I’d still be stuck with my stripped & glazed Neonoe. 😩💗

Spot on about the TWIST, my strap disconnected as the rivet broke and I had the bag less than a year with hardly anything in it. Because it was less than a year and clearly a quality issue, LV gave me a new one.
I actually had the pochette Métis in leather like the one you have and within six months it completely lost the impressions on the back and was extremely flat on the bottom front. I was so disappointed however Louis Vuitton did let me pick a new bag that had a much better impression and it’s been goin strong for over 3 years now.
You’re right about the Never Full Tote. My husband bought it for me when it was @ $900. I rarely use it anymore. The strap digs into my skin. I could but see myself spending $2k on that bag. As for the Pochette Métis Reverse, it’s one of my favorite bags. I’ve had mine for 3 years and I love it! I don’t use it all the time so maybe that’s why I haven’t had any issues with it. My Palm Springs Mini backpack is my go-to bag. 12:28

I have the Neverfull and I use the daylights out of it for traveling. I bought it in HI last year before the price increase so I felt good about the price. I wouldn’t do so now, though. I would buy it preloved. I had the Pochette Métis but in regular monogram - loved it but sold it to purchase another bag. It was a great cross body bag and I regret selling it.
I’ve had my canvas neonoe for nearly 5 years now and I’ve had no issues with freaying or it losing it shape. That being said it’s not my everyday bag it’s kept in its dustbag in the box when I’m not using it.
I have the neo noe in black empreinte and i love it! So far no issues with the shape and I have had it about a year and half. I had the Neverfull in turtledove and had to exchange due to yellowing. I exchanged for pm in navy/red!

I bought my NF back in ‘08 for like 800 or so. I was sooo in love. It never really was used until I started traveling. It’s been my travel workhorse ever since
I purchased the Never full years ago. I think it was almost 1800. LV increase in price over time. The Never full has to be my fave as far as comfort out of all my LV’s. It’s a perfect travel and on the go bag. My most recent is the Neonoe in all black embossed. Haven’t had any issues with it so far. It’s a year old now. I love it.
Teach ’em! I agree about the Neo Noe. I had to exchange it 3 times when the first came out bc the glazing a long the top was coming off or the bottom stitching was crooked. The last time I exchanged it, I got the black epi version and 4 years later, it still looks new!
I almost bought a capucines this summer. I did not like the glazing, and I questioned if they had had any problems with it. For whatever reason, I just didn’t do it. I am so glad. It was 7500. Also, I have a neo noe for over a year, and for me no issues with it. It’s in damier ebene with saffron interior. Now the pochette metis…I have bought and sold that bag so many times, it’s ridiculous. So many issues with it. For the price point now, absolutely not worth it. It’s a bag I want to love, I love the look. But there’s so many things about it that are so fussy… The biggest issue for me with the glazing. Now I just don’t like bags that have a lot of glazing. I look for stitched edges instead. Also the S-lock had so many issues. Thanks for sharing!
I bought my Monogram noe noe with black lining back in 2015 and the stitching and glazing of the bag fell apart badly. Even the SA at LV was surprised at how bad it looked when I wore it in one day.
She pretended to be surprised 🤣😂🤣 they know what’s up. Once a client bought one and brought it back in after having it for 2 days. The shape had already changed, and it had started to fray. He wanted his money back. They refused because he had worn it. He was not giving up. He explained to them that obviously I wore it but it shouldn’t wear this badly after wearing it for just two days. I felt so bad for him, but couldn’t say anything.
I’ve never had an issue with my Neverfull GM, but then again, I bought it 10+ years ago when the quality was better and the price was half of what it is now. And yes, it’s NOT worth $2K.
Same. I’m pissed that I sold mine which was made in 2006. It was a great bag and the handles never got ruined. I went in to look at some recently and the quality is not the same. Thinner canvas and the handles seem “sharper” as she mentioned here 🙁 it sucks. I passed and went with Goyard which is also just ehhhh but better than a current never full IMO

I got back from Italy in November and picked up the Twist in the solid color Taupe and you are correct WE ARE GETTING ROBBED in the USA!! I get it it’s because of all the taxes. After getting my VAT back I spent about $3200 compared to $4700+your state tax. It would be about $5000 where I live. I have actually bought three other LVs last year when I traveled through Europe. I also get way better service there compared to my mall. They are very generous in perfume samples too.
It’s been a blessing to be able to travel to Europe multiple times and bought all my LVs as souvenir. About 5 months ago I bought three LVs in Helsinki, France; Petite Malle Souple, Multi Pochette in black leather (Empreinte) and Pochette felicie in conac leather (empreinte). The price is way below about 40% compared in the US. The price of the petite malle souple is already $1k+ lower than the one in the US. That’s why I was so excited when I bought it which was in my dream list. I’ll be in Europe this coming spring and planning to get the Kirigami Pochette, Double Zip Pochette in reverse monogram and the Twist belt chain pouch in gold chain. I love my speedys and my neverful but I bought mine for about $1200 years ago. They are all in perfect condition. But they’re all 5-10 years old so possibly were made with better quality. I have heard the Métis in monogram was having issues so I bought the leather one as well. I really want a Coussin but don’t think it’s worth it. Great video!
Current advisor here. 🙋🏻♂️Day and night I always suggest to clients empreinte is the way to go compared to canvas especially for the Metis no matter how many updates it's received over the years, and with canvas prices creeping up close to leather prices, it's a no brainer. I don't even discuss Neverfull unless someone is looking for a work bag and OTG isn't their cup of tea. Don't come for my Capucines, though. 😭 💀

The Neverfull strap is also so short! Such a struggle to get in over my shoulder with my winter coat on:( LV needs to make longer straps as everyone in not the same size…my gf had to buy a strap from elsewhere to wear her bag crossbody.

Oh the neverfull! I paid about $1000 3 years ago when I got my GM in Europe. I wouldn’t pay current US prices. She isn’t an everyday bag for me. Also, my first ever LV bag was a Damier Azure neverfull MM. Got it back in 2001 and it was $820 😫 my only regret is not getting it in the GM.
The neverfull Gm was my very first bag. I sold it last week and got all my money back after 3 years of having it. It was in like new condition. The money is better in my account.
I have had my speedy 30 since 1988. Yes, that's correct 1988. It's been through the snow, rain, heat, and wind. I was 19 yrs old at the time. Now, 53 yrs old and my work horse bag is doing well. It's my work bag now. So my suggestion is go vintage. I have had the vachetta replace only twice by LV. And it was decades in between. The canvas has never ever been a problem on this bag. Go vintage.
I literally just commented this on someone else’s comment . The older bags just come in for wear. New handles etc after like 10 years. New bags come back the next day. Continue to enjoy your gem of a bag!

Louis Vuitton's prices are, quite frankly, ridiculous. 🙄 I would never pay face value for any of them here or abroad. I have eleven LV bags/bumbags and I purchased eight of them from either consignment shops or estate sales in Palm Beach/Boca Raton, Florida. I got my bags for at least 45% off of their original purchase prices. The other three were gifts and two of them are now considered vintage (large Bucket Bag (2000) and Papillon 30 (2006). Fortunately, all of my bags still look very nice and I've only had to make minimal repairs to them. I started hearing about the quality issues for various bags back in 2014.

I always order these bags online *suluxy* , My items never have any issues. We should keep or money in our pockets & buy things that appreciate in value, like houses, stocks, bonds, etc.
I have the never full gm in damier ebenne it’s 6 years old now and I have put it through hell it still looks almost new absolutely love it .I also purchased the keychain pouch same print which has come apart at least 4 x within a year with light use They fixed it each time and it would happen again within 2 months not happy with that purchase at all ! I got rid of the pouch and bought the 6 ring key holder which has given me no problems
I have one my daughter gifted to me for my birthday. She only buy LV for herself she said quality not like it was twenty five years ago, the price not worth it anymore to her.
No fraying on my neonoe and I have had it for a couple of years. However my hairdressers frayed and they gave her a brand new one immediately which was great customer service.
It’s a known quality issue; what else were they going to do. It cost a fraction of the cost to make those bags so giving a new one is nothing to LV. When I worked there we looked forward to defective exchanges BevauSe they were so frequent && the easiest comission

I have been stalking the Malle Fleur for over a year, but recently I saw it in store and the hardware was tarnished. Why they left it on display evades me, but I’m glad. Not paying all that money for something that will be gross so fast in the hardware.

My Neo Noe in canvas is coming up to 4 yrs old now and it’s been one - still is - of my favourite bags. It’s my version of a tote bag. If I’m not using it for a while I do open it up and stuff with air papers. Maybe that has helped but looks as good as the day it was purchased. I have a couple of SLGs in Empriente but finding the leather rather dry so I’m not sure about buying a bag in it. It does look lovely though. My Epi Alma is also going great!

I was looking at the denim Neverfull from the recent Cruise Collection. While I liked the look of it I realized I’m still not really a tote person. More so, I’m not a luxury tote person. I love my denim Marc Jacobs The Tote in denim. I have that same Hermès twilly. I use it on one of my Speedys.
Canvas cracks and leather does not. Due to LV’s long run with cracking canvas I do not suggest it. Once canvas cracks it can’t Be fixed. That’s it for your bag.

Yup i returned my org pochette metis 3 yrs after purchasing because it started melting, i got it all over my hands and clothes 😢 good thing LV was willing to replace/refund/exchange it for its current value!

Yes, all true. My neo noe had the fraying issue and LV, returned my money; however, I selected the pouchette Métis in the reverse monogram. If a glazing issue occur, I will return it. Question, why is the glazing issue different on the pouchette Métis leather vs canvas?
I’m glad you were able to get a new bag. I think it just had to do with lack of craftsmanship. Lv sells soooo much canvas and so try to get it out alot faster.
I have the Neo noe for 5 years and the pochette Métis for 2 years (it’s after the new release of the current PM that have the canvas extend all the way down the back of the bag) but no such issues with what you have mentioned.

Another chain that actually shattered was the one on my LV Favorite Empriente. It happened right in front of the SA when I went in about having trouble with getting the chain off . They replaced it and I turned around and sold the bag a few weeks later. I just couldn’t!

I have the Neverfull and I use the daylights out of it for traveling. I bought it in HI last year before the price increase so I felt good about the price. I wouldn’t do so now, though. I would buy it preloved. I had the Pochette Métis but in regular monogram - loved it but sold it to purchase another bag. It was a great cross body bag and I regret selling it.
I’ve had my canvas neonoe for nearly 5 years now and I’ve had no issues with freaying or it losing it shape. That being said it’s not my everyday bag it’s kept in its dustbag in the box when I’m not using it.

I have the neo noe in black empreinte and i love it! So far no issues with the shape and I have had it about a year and half. I had the Neverfull in turtledove and had to exchange due to yellowing. I exchanged for pm in navy/red!

I bought my NF back in ‘08 for like 800 or so. I was sooo in love. It never really was used until I started traveling. It’s been my travel workhorse ever since
I purchased the Never full years ago. I think it was almost 1800. LV increase in price over time. The Never full has to be my fave as far as comfort out of all my LV’s. It’s a perfect travel and on the go bag.
My most recent is the Neonoe in all black embossed. Haven’t had any issues with it so far. It’s a year old now. I love it.

Teach ’em! I agree about the Neo Noe. I had to exchange it 3 times when the first came out bc the glazing a long the top was coming off or the bottom stitching was crooked. The last time I exchanged it, I got the black epi version and 4 years later, it still looks new!

I almost bought a capucines this summer. I did not like the glazing, and I questioned if they had had any problems with it. For whatever reason, I just didn’t do it. I am so glad. It was 7500. Also, I have a neo noe for over a year, and for me no issues with it. It’s in damier ebene with saffron interior. Now the pochette metis…I have bought and sold that bag so many times, it’s ridiculous. So many issues with it. For the price point now, absolutely not worth it. It’s a bag I want to love, I love the look. But there’s so many things about it that are so fussy…
The biggest issue for me with the glazing. Now I just don’t like bags that have a lot of glazing. I look for stitched edges instead. Also the S-lock had so many issues. Thanks for sharing!

I bought my Monogram noe noe with black lining back in 2015 and the stitching and glazing of the bag fell apart badly. Even the SA at LV was surprised at how bad it looked when I wore it in one day.
She pretended to be surprised 🤣😂🤣 they know what’s up. Once a client bought one and brought it back in after having it for 2 days. The shape had already changed, and it had started to fray. He wanted his money back. They refused because he had worn it. He was not giving up. He explained to them that obviously I wore it but it shouldn’t wear this badly after wearing it for just two days. I felt so bad for him, but couldn’t say anything.

I’ve never had an issue with my Neverfull GM, but then again, I bought it 10+ years ago when the quality was better and the price was half of what it is now. And yes, it’s NOT worth $2K.
Same. I’m pissed that I sold mine which was made in 2006. It was a great bag and the handles never got ruined. I went in to look at some recently and the quality is not the same. Thinner canvas and the handles seem “sharper” as she mentioned here 🙁 it sucks. I passed and went with Goyard which is also just ehhhh but better than a current never full IMO

I got back from Italy in November and picked up the Twist in the solid color Taupe and you are correct WE ARE GETTING ROBBED in the USA!! I get it it’s because of all the taxes. After getting my VAT back I spent about $3200 compared to $4700+your state tax. It would be about $5000 where I live. I have actually bought three other LVs last year when I traveled through Europe. I also get way better service there compared to my mall. They are very generous in perfume samples too.
Facts, if you can make it happen go overseas to purchase bags
It’s been a blessing to be able to travel to Europe multiple times and bought all my LVs as souvenir. About 5 months ago I bought three LVs in Helsinki, France; Petite Malle Souple, Multi Pochette in black leather (Empreinte) and Pochette felicie in conac leather (empreinte). The price is way below about 40% compared in the US. The price of the petite malle souple is already $1k+ lower than the one in the US. That’s why I was so excited when I bought it which was in my dream list. I’ll be in Europe this coming spring and planning to get the Kirigami Pochette, Double Zip Pochette in reverse monogram and the Twist belt chain pouch in gold chain. Do you think this would be a good buy? Thank you for making this video. Keep it up😃

I love my speedys and my neverful but I bought mine for about $1200 years ago. They are all in perfect condition. But they’re all 5-10 years old so possibly were made with better quality. I have heard the Métis in monogram was having issues so I bought the leather one as well. I really want a Coussin but don’t think it’s worth it. Great video!

Current advisor here. 🙋🏻♂️Day and night I always suggest to clients empreinte is the way to go compared to canvas especially for the Metis no matter how many updates it's received over the years, and with canvas prices creeping up close to leather prices, it's a no brainer. I don't even discuss Neverfull unless someone is looking for a work bag and OTG isn't their cup of tea. Don't come for my Capucines, though. 😭 💀

Oh the neverfull! I paid about $1000 3 years ago when I got my GM in Europe. I wouldn’t pay current US prices. She isn’t an everyday bag for me. Also, my first ever LV bag was a Damier Azure neverfull MM. Got it back in 2001 and it was $820 😫 my only regret is not getting it in the GM.

The neverfull Gm was my very first bag. I sold it last week and got all my money back after 3 years of having it. It was in like new condition. The money is better in my account.

I have had my speedy 30 since 1988. Yes, that's correct 1988. It's been through the snow, rain, heat, and wind. I was 19 yrs old at the time. Now, 53 yrs old and my work horse bag is doing well. It's my work bag now. So my suggestion is go vintage. I have had the vachetta replace only twice by LV. And it was decades in between. The canvas has never ever been a problem on this bag. Go vintage.
I literally just commented this on someone else’s comment . The older bags just come in for wear. New handles etc after like 10 years. New bags come back the next day. Continue to enjoy your gem of a bag!

Louis Vuitton's prices are, quite frankly, ridiculous. 🙄 I would never pay face value for any of them here or abroad. I have eleven LV bags/bumbags and I purchased eight of them from either consignment shops or estate sales in Palm Beach/Boca Raton, Florida. I got my bags for at least 45% off of their original purchase prices. The other three were gifts and two of them are now considered vintage (large Bucket Bag (2000) and Papillon 30 (2006). Fortunately, all of my bags still look very nice and I've only had to make minimal repairs to them. I started hearing about the quality issues for various bags back in 2014.
A good consignment shop, that is where I will look in the future.

I always order these bags online *suluxy* , My items never have any issues. We should keep or money in our pockets & buy things that appreciate in value, like houses, stocks, bonds, etc.
I have the never full gm in damier ebenne it’s 6 years old now and I have put it through hell it still looks almost new absolutely love it .I also purchased the keychain pouch same print which has come apart at least 4 x within a year with light use They fixed it each time and it would happen again within 2 months not happy with that purchase at all ! I got rid of the pouch and bought the 6 ring key holder which has given me no problems

I got the Métis reverse 2 yrs ago and I’ve had no issues so far . I don’t wear it much in the summer so maybe that’s why I’ve had no issues .
I have one my daughter gifted to me for my birthday. She only buy LV for herself she said quality not like it was twenty five years ago, the price not worth it anymore to her.

No fraying on my neonoe and I have had it for a couple of years. However my hairdressers frayed and they gave her a brand new one immediately which was great customer service.
It’s a known quality issue; what else were they going to do. It cost a fraction of the cost to make those bags so giving a new one is nothing to LV. When I worked there we looked forward to defective exchanges BevauSe they were so frequent && the easiest comission

Personally I alternate between neverfull, Tory Burch Perry tote, and Longchamp Le Pliage for my work totes!

My Neo Noe in canvas is coming up to 4 yrs old now and it’s been one - still is - of my favourite bags. It’s my version of a tote bag. If I’m not using it for a while I do open it up and stuff with air papers. Maybe that has helped but looks as good as the day it was purchased. I have a couple of SLGs in Empriente but finding the leather rather dry so I’m not sure about buying a bag in it. It does look lovely though. My Epi Alma is also going great!

I was looking at the denim Neverfull from the recent Cruise Collection. While I liked the look of it I realized I’m still not really a tote person. More so, I’m not a luxury tote person. I love my denim Marc Jacobs The Tote in denim.

Yup i returned my org pochette metis 3 yrs after purchasing because it started melting, i got it all over my hands and clothes 😢 good thing LV was willing to replace/refund/exchange it for its current value!
I have the same Metis as you. Two neverfull mm in mono & DE, also a neo noe. I have way more LV than these so they don’t get used often but no problems so far 🙏🏼

Yes, all true. My neo noe had the fraying issue and LV, returned my money; however, I selected the pouchette Métis in the reverse monogram. If a glazing issue occur, I will return it. Question, why is the glazing issue different on the pouchette Métis leather vs canvas?
I’m glad you were able to get a new bag. I think it just had to do with lack of craftsmanship. Lv sells soooo much canvas and so try to get it out alot faster.

I have the Neo noe for 5 years and the pochette Métis for 2 years (it’s after the new release of the current PM that have the canvas extend all the way down the back of the bag) but no such issues with what you have mentioned.

Another chain that actually shattered was the one on my LV Favorite Empriente. It happened right in front of the SA when I went in about having trouble with getting the chain off . They replaced it and I turned around and sold the bag a few weeks later. I just couldn’t!
