I’m a fan of both falling in reverse and carti and this is lame and an obvious case of clout chasing, the only part of this that’s “infringing” is the falling in reverse text which like you said just goes with the upside down cross aesthetic and it isnt like he took their entire design like osamason tried doing with Iron Maiden, this could’ve been something that was just settled behind closed doors like real professionals but going out and speaking on it like this after he was asked to not do so is just weird🤷🏽♂️
