In the Remote Village of Milimatatu there is a Girls Secondary School that has had no access to clean water since its construction. This leaves the Children here no choice but to make a 6 mile journey daily in order to find Dirty water buried beneath the dry riverbeds in the area.
This heavily compromises their education and forces them to leave school around noon every day to make sure they finish the journey before nightfall. Many students choose to flee from these conditions and make their way back home, sometimes disappearing without a word, left to the wilds of the Turkana Desert.
As up to now we have attempted to drill three seperate times in search for water to no avail. But we are not done and intend to return to the area and continue searching for water.
