If it was programmed like this it's nothing special. If it's an acciddent it's kinda weird although I have some ideas. Theoretically specific ornament could be using specific shader/local lighting only visible to the user that interacts in a weird way with the seemingly invisible object. And stuff like this is extremely easy to miss in QA, or deemed not important enough to be high on priority list for fixes.
Bungie probably uses this ornament during development so they can show certain things in game while testing. They just forgot to remove it for the launch build

Two options here, either this is a debug thing bungie uses to test flag checks in gane, or they're really atill using numbers for flag checks instead of strings and theyve got some wires crossed, for the 10003937th time... (the more likely of the two options.. )
whats the scannable object in the h.e.l.m.? every time i go in there where the glass engram is located i see the icon for it pop up and i can't figure what ghost wants me to scan.
It's just an old graphical asset (usually something like an electrical box/air vent/random machinery which at one time had scannable properties) that gets re-used but they've never been able to disable the scannable part from the code. Most of these little bugs have been in the game since 2017. There was one in a Black Armory forge that people spent days trying to reach because they thought it was part of an exotic puzzle. It wasn't 😅
Staring into the glass shelf area where we put NES001 and so on, on the right there's an electrical box on top. That's the scannable. Does nothing though.
Maybe will be more people there? The ID number list looks like something would appear in the screen of that notebook if you open the screen and slightly pushes to the left. Or it's just a random thing that will be removed later
The big engram was visible from day 1 of the echoes campaign for me, just assumed it was something to fill in at a future date. Didn't realise everyone couldnt see it!
I hate the Helm. Why didn't Bungie just use the area of the tower by Saint 14 for seasonal stuff? They could have added a fast travel point down there. The helm just adds another loading screen to wait through while you play the game.

It's just annoying having to fly around to a bunch of different places to pick up bounties, turn in engrams, or buy materials. I just want to be able to use my play time to do activities in the most efficient way possible.

The reason they use the helm is because they can completely start fresh each year and don’t introduce issues or bugs in the tower when they update it. Also you have to matchmake into the tower making it much slower to load up which can be annoying when you’re just redeeming engrams.

Leaks say Failsafe gets a body and we have a "pet" appear on the HELM, so could be related to that progress.
