Fire Alarm Test #50
HTML-код
- Опубликовано: 19 апр 2018
- Test of a 4100U system in an industrial facility. Original panel was a 4100 classic which was later upgraded following various building expansions. Most of the original areas are equipped with mechanical horns whereas in the plant and production floors you have sirens which are all coded by the panel and set to a low pitch tone. Each section of the plant is covered by its own transponder. A few of those can be seen in this vid.

1:00 THAT TRUEALERT IS NOT ONLY UPSIDE DOWN, BUT ALSO HAS NO COVER. One of the biggest fire alarm fails I’ve ever seen.
I thought I was the only one…
HenBasket nope
I notice it, too.
trainerred206 wheelove fire alarms should add that to his series.

He's Back! 😄
Also, man that's a variety of fire alarms. From the pull stations, to the notification devices. Wow. Great video

@@safetechhi I’m a big fan of
1:04 you have entered hell
Love to see the old horns you make the best fire alarm vids
Thank you!
12:28 is that a traffic light?! wtf?!
That what it looks like
It's probably a work safety light. Like one of those lost time / near miss/ accident free signals.
@@ryguy2006 it is and the white board said 1 day without injury, oof
Nope
I love the intro.
Thank you!

Timofey Kozyrev Thanks for subscribing!
@@safetechyou are so welcome! and why some alarms have a megaphone attached?
@@safetech are there mechanical horns behind the megaphones?
I recognize the sound of the Edwards Duo-Tronic @10:30; at least those are not in the office areas. Cool video!!
6:04 that truealarm looked like it was melting
It is malting
It really does lol
I don’t see a truealert there, I only see the smoke detector
@@sugamusic6477Because he did not say truealert, he said TrueAlarm, the type of smoke detector that is
Nice video, love the tests of fire alarms.

Nice! Very neat system

Awesome video man! Nice job!

@@safetechwhat kind of coding is that?
My favourite is the loudspeaker horns
Judging by those old Federal Signal and Faraday horn/strobes, they probably also had another older system in place prior to the Simplex 4100 classic.
Its possible. I cannot tell you for sure.
Probally a 2001
Hey safetech! Quick question, why was fire alarm test #51 taken down?
Cool video as always! keep it up.
I like it! Nice video!

We should see some more of the older ones in these facilities
What were the more modern-sounding devices heard in the distance at the 10:58 mark? They kinda sound like mismatched LF sounders?
Edwards Explosion-Proof Sirens. I forgot the model number but They are by Edwards
I wish you could show us more of what the alarms look like going off
3:39 - 3:46 Seems as though that pull station was mounted on a rather loose backbox.
4:36 i hear a distant wheelock as or mt-24
Wheelock Exceeder
@@XxGG_the_HackerxXnot an exceeder
Nice video!!
I like the sounds of fire alarms at around the 5m mark that go like Cuong cuong cuong
6:41 what is the alarm outside
EST Duotronic
@sirens of Minnesota Lol. Nowhere close to one.
4:52 what is this fire alarm
12:44 sick
I love ur video's
I love the Edwards doutronics sirans but idk what was the low frequency I heard
Oh and I like the federal signals Horn Strobes
I also heard a wheelock AS or MT
and a mechanical horn
Was this in a Chrysler plant?
Great video 😀👍👍
Thanks for viewing!
Very Nice vid! I should take a video of my system soon, My building is industrial kinda like this building
Thanks for viewing!
That loose conduit box should get repaired.
Follower Of Christ I noticed that too.
Are the federal signal and older faraday devices having broken strobes or did your camera just not pick up the strobe flashes? Also, what are those black bullhorn style horns with the strobes underneath them? Don't recognize that device at all?
All strobes & visual devices were functioning properly. As mentioned in the description their are sirens out in the plant. I believe that is what you are referring to. As for the exact model of those I’m not sure.
@@safetech, you should put a go pro on a detector tester
Interesting system
Thanks for viewing!
Nice New Intro!
OOOOOOH! Now I get it! So in that factory area there are truealerts with the mechanical horns but the horns are covered up by these cluster speakers!
No these are sirens which are set to low pitch.
2:22 That one is probably the healthiest sounding one.
What brand is the horn on top of the simplex Strobes in the parking Lots
The ones in that garage sound like dieing whales. What are those to be exact?
Are those Edwards Duotronic horns on the factory floor?
Possibly. Not sure of the exact model.
does anyone know what the outdoor siren at 6:40 is?
Probably an Edwards 5520 Duo-Tronic like the one seen at 10:30
also sounds like a edwards pre integrity
Edwards Duo-Tronic ARGO
I like this Old System the Federal Signal Horn strobe sounds cool watt building is that in
Thanks for viewing. It’s an industrial manufacturing facility.
SAFETECH you’re welcome
Wish we could have seen all the horns clearly in this one.
1:00 dinnerbone truealert with no cover
Whoever installed it is definitely a Minecraft player
@@idkanymore9590💀
I swear i can hear a Wheelock AS and a Genesis or a Wheelock NS too
Please someone explain this to me, I was at my church and activated the fire alarm for a pre-school fire drill. All the alarms worked except for the NAs in the sanctuary, what are some reasons for that? And why would you still have to call the alarm people to tell them, even if you press the drill button. Shouldn't pressing the drill button tell the panel to not dial out but still sound ?
Nice system!
What coding is that? Sounds like they wanna do either code 3 or some kind-of march time
That’s the coding for a walk test. Whatever zone the pull station was pulled, or zone which a smoke detector was activated in, that’s how many pulses the alarms generate.
i'm guessing the system does continuous when in full alarm
For General Activation, Continuous for the default tone
I think code 3
So the sirens on the plant floor, during a full evacuation, would it do a continuous tone?
Yes continuous for general alarm.
They should make it code 3
@@any123-ogCode 3 is fire. Not general alarm
@tkprod19 I confused general alarm with fire alarm when making that comment.
I love your new intro
Thank you!
No problem
I love simplex t bars
i'm guessing the system runs on continuous when it's in full alarm
Hy go animate
The Plant Sirens are set on Monopitch Tone, So Yes, It will Run on Continuous During Normal Activation. Im assuming these are Explosion-Proof Edwards/EST Sirens
I love Fire alarm at home
cool man
whats the alarm and speaker at 11:04 Cause it looks cool and sounds awesome!
Not sure on the exact model of the siren.
ok
Those are Edwards duotronic sirens
EST Duotronic
@@safetech how are you Carying your smoke detector, and the camera. It looks hard
The clips in the intro were filmed by you?
Yes
Awsome
Thanks for viewing!
Is there an EST Integrity somewhere? I swear I heard it
No, Edwards/EST Electronic Bullhorn Sirens Is what you heard
Ghostly I heard it too
Intro is dope
This The video I like the most
What's the true alert
10:28 - So how exactly do those things work?
They are electronic sirens in which the oscillator itself set to a very low steady pitch. By doing so it somewhat mimics a electromechanical horn. You don’t see this often. I believe It was custom specced by the facility early on.
Cool. And very unusual how much effort they put into it sounding a certain way. Even most technicians aren't really that picky.
We had those horn type deals at a dorm...but they would make a bleepy siren type sound..pretty loud too with them truealerts and wheelock as
SAFETECH its a Edward Duotronic
cool
Wow
What is this place
7:29, 8:02 Those pull stations looked to be mounted a little high.
No. He just had the camera facing a certain angle, making it look mounted higher.
What was that very first alarm? It looked silver
It was an upside down Simplex Truealert without its cover
Some installer messed up big time installing that TrueAlert
Very nice. Never heard this kind of coding before, though...
Probably because it was a walk test
it’s in walktest so it is sounding based on the devices zone
You’re going to get it so much
I like it
That is best
I hear a couple Wheelock AS or MTs
Same
Me to
That’s a TrueAlert but upside down without a cover lol.
At 3:42, think i heard a low frequency sounder along with the sirens
Same
@sebastianfloyd9705They could be those Edward EST Speaker strobes which are the low frequency I could be incorrect
6:02 I heard a 2903 on a 2903-9838 light plate
why did you drop the face plate on the panel?
I was checking a connection to the serial service port.
10:30 why does that truealert sound like a mechanical horn
It's actually coming from the speaker/horn that's above the TrueAlert.
Jared Thompson ooooooooo the orientation made it look like a speaker strobe I just now realized that was a horn on top of the strobe
@@iluvmerc That is a EST Duotronic Siren, Its Used for Mainly Industrial Settings to Mimic Mechancial Horns. Last time I've seen horns like this was In a School. They had Wheelock Strobes Below them
looks like it!
What kind of fire alarm. Are those
Offices: fs 450d+VALS, faraday horn strobes, true alert horn strobes, wheelock mt or as.
Plant floor: true alert remote strobes, est duotronic sirens
The outdoor one at 6:43 sounded like a fog horn
6:42 BRUH BRUH BRUH
Keep the true alert and replace one duo-tronic
Code 8?
no, every initiating device has its own code in the walk test mode.
3:23 I hear a truealert evacuation plan
Inside that warehouse place
6:04 that smoke detector isnt up to mounting code..I think the system needs to be redone..seen 4 fails already lol
Wrong. It’s within 6’ of the top of the facp given a 15’ or greater ceiling. Yes the backbox is angled in due to conduit however that is not deficient.
@@safetech although nice system!! Just think it could have been installed right..
SAFETECH SAFETECH
i hear a 7002T
What!!!?
10:27 I hear a truealert behind a simplex 9809 horn speaker
Those are Electronic horns they are not operated by truealerts the panel is set to a custom pulse on it
1:00 What's that?
Simplex true alert with no cover and it is upside down
This is what I saw
A dinnerbone truealert with no cover
You should put a go pro on the detector tester
