    It's fairly obvious those Wheelock chimes on Simplex 4903 light plates are replacing older bells or chimes that were flush-mounted. The school I went to for kindergarten had 6" Simplex 4090 school bells (that sound just like that stock "Premiere Edition" school bell you always hear on TV) flush-mounted behind grilles just like that.

      I am betting that the Art Center at my friend's university has a Simplex 4007ES panel now. They used to have a Simplex 4002 system (installed next to a gutted Simplex 4208 used for terminal wiring). Some time back they removed the old Simplex 4051 horns and slapped TrueAlert horn/strobes onto the 4050-80 light plates, which suggests the 4002 panel was replaced as well.

    • @safetech
      @safetech  6 лет назад +2

      It’s a great job I love it. But I must clarify I am strictly a fire systems inspector for SimplexGrinnell/Johnson Controls. When people hear “fire inspector” they often think of the guy who works works for the state who enforces code compliance. That I am not. My role strictly pertains to the facilities fire safety equipment.
