I've done the PQ mission for toppo stupid finger volley attack that I want just to have it over 40 times no cap, I have done the mission 1-3 a day with my brother since june too august of 2024. Wtf. Dbz xenoverse 1 was worse, I had seen grind for spiritbomb for 10s of hours, getting perfect, doing the needed quest and everything. Still didn't get it. I for sure did the mission well over 50 times and still nothing. My bro got it 1st try! No special ending either, F me! Hate rng. I carried spirit bomb over to xeno2 so I wouldn't have to grind that mission again, just incase

Son I grinded the quest to get super black kamehameha rose I got a fucking Z rank on that mission and never got the damn skill…have tried multiple times I just gave up . RNG really makes the game horrible asf to play so many damn skills to get from the DLC’s and you literally can’t even unlock them all because of how the game is designed it’s terrible
That’s mostly now due to paragon being a cope bomb like the guy wants Xenoverse 3 so bad that he makes up a bunch of bullshit to try and say how bad the game is while falling so hard 😂 And the fact he keeps mentioning Xenoverse 2 over and over again is just going to make dragon ball fans move from Xenoverse 2 to sparking zero out of spite
The tails not moving and the CaC's hair not rising un super saiyan has been a pet peeve of mine for EGIHT GODDAMN YEARS, the latter being an issue since Xenovers 1!
Funny thing about that...Not only did they add both of those things to Breakers but, also hair physics but, only chose to add that for xeno on Beast Gohans Bang. They need to have every piece of clothing color customizable, custom aura's inside the game (NOT the lobby😑), Different battle stances another thing breakers has through transforming with a transphere, more than one accessory slot...do I need to say what game has that?? Ive played this on and off for 7-8 Years but, played heavy almost every day the first few years I was hooked on the idea the potential it had. I dont even think of it anymore unless a dlc comes out. Im obligated to return with over 62 days (Xbox as a Adult) and over 2,000 hours (PS4 as a Teen) of time spent on it. I dont even play anything besides PQ's atp I help other people out. I come back because of the amount of fun Ik I can have in it but it has major issues for me. In terms of PvP and how toxic it is. Shouldn't have to say it but "Say 😁". Even now the "Festival of universe's" is just a way to drip feed content that should have been in the game day one. Oh I almost forgot...our true worst enemy the A....I.... Never have I ever fought and thought my teammates are my enemies. Because they will Interrupt your combos, knock them away(Dash Kick 💯 of the time), or be completely defenseless in those protection missions. RNG. Out of every DB game I ever played Raging Blast Gameplay wise was my favorite thing ever and always wanted something like it since. Sparking Zero is much looser feeling than that for sure but that foundation is almost the same. Everything I could do there I could do here. Xenoverse 2 has the POTENTIAL to be a FAR more enjoyable game just from the CAC aspect for me but it STILL isnt there. I atleast like that Fu most likely will be straight evil and give us our own personal villain that actually interacted with us multiple times almost had a Brotherly Bond🗿. I still like it (The game) but also hate it. Last little Bit. Can't believe nobody is talking about how absolute garbage the npc allies were in this game.I could handle everything else wrong with this game but the npc allies in parallel quest ruining my combos and knocking them away from my supers and ultimates made this game practically unplayable.I used to wonder if the npc's actually on my side or are they playing for the other team??
also: whenever you are alone: The enemies play fair and only attack you one at a time But if you have an ally, they will attack you at the same time while your ally stands there and looks
That's why i now do solo and only use NPCs when it's needed. But my GOD were they dogshit. the amount of times they did this to me and my friend. If XV2 was lore accurate, our CaCs would just KO both the enemies and Allies. I'd get so mad at the Allies, i would start a custom match against the CPU that pissed me off and body it until i was satisfied. Even at one point, i downed it with an Ult and actually said "Next time, you'll learn your fucking place bitch" like it could hear me lmao. I just hated them so much. But the things i hate with NPCs are the ones who need to be protected for the Quest or you lose and they run into an Ult and take damage.
HEAVY on the customization, I remember buying this game back in 2018 as a young boy getting excited to have my own unique character with color customizable clothes and different hairstyles in super saiyan just for it to be botched.
Completely different games though ones a create a character story & quest based games reminds me of DB pokemon the way you have to do qq bangs and stuff like it's EV/IV training lol Sparking Zero is just Tenkaichi 4 lmao
I love Xenoverse 2. The only problem is you NEED DLCs to have fun and they don't update customisation. Theres only 2 "hard" missions. But I installed Revamp mod and i'm loving it again
On the RNG part, I absolutely hate Xenoverse’s “RNG” I wanted DBS Gogeta’s top, I think I’ve played this match well over 50+ times and I have only ever gotten it once….but I’ll get his wristbands almost every time. 🤦🏻

Nothing quite like playing a PQ and be doing your basic combo stuff only for your teammates to decide their Chase will be a much better combo ender than your Super Black Kamehameha. It is physically impossible to perform a full combo in the Online PQ. That "Search for PQ" might as well read "Put me with a griefer"
I used to have a combo that could literally one-shot enemies in those parallel quests, just for the A.I Goku to decide that his uncharged random ass Kamehameha would be much better as a damage dealer AND combo ender than my fucking ultimate attack(I don’t remember the name but I DO know that it was Ultra Supervillain Vegeta’s ultimate)

Modders are working through passion without the expectations of anyone but themselves. No investors or deadlines to answer too. There is really no comparison. You would be amazed what a developer can create in his free time. However add in a dose of expectation and criticism and then watch how the modder takes a year to update his jank because "life got difficult" how many times have you scrolled down a mod authors page and saw that exact phrase. "Sorry guys. Lately I have been caught up. Life."
I quit the game ages ago because i liked doing the patrol missons, but every time i asked for help, no one ever wanted to do them and the bots on the harder missons aren't much help so i couldn't unlock anything

@sideways_chip_eater6420 Xbox has better mods than playstation for skyrim. Most mods on Xbox are the same as on PC minus the NSFW mods for obvious reasons. I just assumed that there were mods on console skyrim was just a weird choice

What he failed to include as a PC gamer who also enjoys mods is that whenever XV2 has an update it will break your mods. The reason he needs to use the skill editor is because the character file is corrupted sometimes during these updates as well so you have to make a new character. One of my favorite mods for transformations relies on outdated mods that havent been touched since 2020 (Lazy's auras looking at you). XV2 is garbage on PC the custom forms are nonsense anyways. So what I have 180 forms to use. You ain't missing out. Novelty wore off after about an hour.
This! This! I just play the missions until I get over an A and if I’m not unlocking the skills, I’m using the save editor... It’s crazy how some random dudes chilling on their computers could actually fulfill somewhat of this game’s potential and not the massive corporation.
I just want them to add Kai, demons, androids, maybe even Tuffles or whatever Granolah is. The cac’s were the biggest selling point of this game imo but theres so little they can do if they aren’t a saiyan 😢

You could just make those kind of characters with the other races and recreate their abilities with Super Souls. Only one id say is Demons, since we now know Kai’s are demons and they also have the sharp ears.
Barely any innovation, Developer Negligence, Hackers, a sub par character creator, lag, empty dev promises, among hundreds of other issues and this recent laackluster lazily crafted DLC was the final nail in the coffin for me.
I’m ngl the Gurú missions were way to repetitive😭 Like how was I supposed to know I’d have to redo those missions over and over again just to get my level rap raised by 5🤦🏽♂️
I've started playing because I got it for 7 bucks on switch. When I see vids like this it makes me relieved I didn't pay for a 60$ game with tax + DLC.
The main thing I hate about Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2, is the issue of modders/hackers on the Playstation version of the game. They made ranked and even the normal pvp aspect of the game, much worse than it already was. While, Dimps and Bandai made very small efforts to even rectify the problem.
@ XV2 doesn’t support the use of mods, in the sense that they are meant to be included in the game and accessible to players. Only reason why they haven’t been dealt with is because the devs don’t care. Doesn’t matter now Sparking Zero is so much better.
Xenoverse 2 is a bad good game It's good in the sense that the gameplay can be fun It's bad in the sense that it maximizes the amount of waiting between prompts, menus and clicking, slow RNG, unskippeable tutorials, and other annoying features to frustrate you It's a torture device that you choose to come back to.
In the words of TFS Krillin "OH MY GOD SOMEONE FINALLY PUT IT INTO WORDS" I cannot DESCRIBE how much I went from loving this game to absolutely hating it, I've been a fan of it for almost its ENTIRE LIFE and only realized how bad the game was during the time Dimps forgot to program Super Saiyan Blue Evolution as a free update SOMEHOW. Ever since I've been wary of my love for Xenoverse, the community sure as hell did not help and every time I replayed the game with a new character I would get angrier and angrier with the game for other shit it failed to do as a GAME less so a Dragon Ball Game. - The Story Mode is shit and is just a rehash of Xenoverse 1's Story except with LESS what-if scenarios (Crazy how fucking TENKAICHI GAMES managed to do that more properly than this game.) and the worst the time alteration will get is a movie character being in the main story or simply just LIE TO YOU (example being when Gohan goes Super Saiyan 2, Trunks says the Cell Jrs being there is the time alteration WHEN THERE WERE ALREADY THERE IN THE MAIN STORY) moreover, I find it hilarious that Dragon Ball fans will get on Kakarot for repeating the story of Dragon Ball Z but bats an eye when Xenoverse 2 rips off Xenoverse 1's story but for some reason Old Kai was added to the group for no reason other than to continuously say "Who is that guy" every time a Movie Villain shows up. Circling back to the Time Alterations, it is a mind fuck how they simply didn't bother to add something different to make the Time Alterations be ALTERATIONS other than the villains getting stronger, like I know they can't use DBH stuff but at least come up with something new of your own, Raging Blast gave us SUPER SAIYAN 3 VEGETA AND BROLY yet the most creative this game will get is a fuck ass "Supervillain" Form. Oh, and just to show how fucking bad Xenoverse 2's story is they added a DLC allowing players to experience Xenoverse 1's story which not only is scummy as fuck when it's literally the same story but better but highlights other issues within the game like staying in your transformation during cutscenes. The DLC stories are just as bad with the SLIGHT exception of the Goku Black Saga but that does the same as I said prior and makes Goku Black stronger and bring in Movie Villains, it's not an actual alteration. The Fu DLC while being actual alterations and genuinely the only fun I ever had in this fucking game is also stupid considering Fu is just....a nothing character and doesn't really move the plot, he just fucks around for "Funsies" and turns Dabura into stone and maybe has you fight MUI Goku but what pisses me off about him is that he gives the player the illusion of choice to "Help out Fu" which has no repercussions whatsoever and you're right back to try to stop him from altering timelines. The Dabura DLC pissed me the hell off mostly because he's just a character that pops up, does essentially nothing due to you having Fu on your side, and immediately DIES in the same DLC he was brought into so Fu can go back to being the "Villain" of this mess of a story. - The TP Medals in this fucking game are atrocious and now that it's essentially been replaced with STP Medals (which people who don't have an Online Subscription cannot get) is so fucking annoying because most of your time grinding for TP Medals hasn’t changed to be any more fun, optimal, or fast than it was when this shit fest of a game came out, it's either gather the Dragon Balls (which requires RNG), Do Parallel Quests (which will no longer give TP once you already finished them), Do Expert Missions (Same issue as the PQ), Do Raids (which requires an Online Subscription), Do Story Modes/DLC (Same issues as the PQs and Expert Missions), all of this shit just to get a BARE MINIMUM of what most of the shit in the TP Medal Shop have because they are overpriced as fuck for no reason (ESPECIALLY THE CC BUDDY). - The characters are fucking awful, it pisses me off how people will try to defend the game by having multiple characters with the EXACT SAME COMBOS by trying to fit the Tenkaichi Games into that same bubble when not only Tenkaichi actually CHANGED the combos for every single form (even in Sparking 0) but DOESN'T TAKE UP MOST OF THE ROSTER WHEN THEY HAVE THE SAME COMBOS AND ANIMATIONS. Not to mention the models look fucking atrocious, the newer ones lesso but the older models are so awful especially in Super Saiyan where they constantly looked like they were dipped in fucking oil which is stupid because some cutscenes in Xenoverse 1, and the Xenoverse 1 DLC have shown the models without the weird oil shit and it looks BETTER, every character (kinda) has hair physics except for the player character for some reason, and everyone also just has a blank expression aside from the obvious Idle Animation, one of the examples is Caulifla where people praised her having an animation when she headbutts but if you go into photo mode and zoom in on her face she shows NO EMOTION, and the biggest example being once again the player character, no matter what emote they make in the game they still have a blank expression which doesn't give any character to them whatsoever speaking of the Player Character. - THE. PLAYER. CHARACTER. (+ Customization) Nothing pissed me off more when realizing how bad of a game Xenoverse 2 is than the lack of customization, depth, or overall care the Player Character has gotten over the years despite it being the literal poster child of the entire game and the character a lot of people are going to be playing, I already discussed the facial animations so I'll get to the obvious issue, TRANSFORMATIONS. First of all, the Super Saiyan forms look awful, ignoring the issue I already had, they don't have traits the transformations should have like Super Saiyan God not making your body slimmer or Super Saiyan Blue Evolution not making you buffer, or I dunno THE FUCKING HAIR STANDING UP but that's an obvious issue that has been complained about for years so I'll get to something else. The game has an obvious Saiyan Bias (despite getting fucked over the hardest with Transformations that should be in the game day 1 *COUGH* SUPER SAIYAN 4 *COUGH*) and even ignoring that the transformations the other races are getting still fucking suck, Power Pole Pro is just making the earthling character's base combo just the Power Pole Pro Super Skill with some added animations that and Golden are the least of my issues. Giant Namekian despite being a form the Player Characters have is not something Piccolo or Slug have which is stupid and what's even more stupid are the moves the form gives you because it's all just the same move just at a different angle and a shockwave attack which screams lazy, but the worst one is Purification which is literally turning your Majin (by the way we still don't have a Super Buu type Male Majin) into Kid Buu combos and all paired with animations the original Kid Buu should've gotten, that is PEAK laziness but it wasn't even the last time they were lazy with Majins, even if you have Black Sclera, if you go Beast with a Majin they just magically turn your Sclera to white, same for bald characters with Beast which is again extremely lazy. Second, Customization has been a criticism thrown at this game for a good reason because it's either the Devs were very bias, held off on what they could've made in order to sell it for more money, or simply did not give a fuck. I know you talked about most of the CaC clothing issues but like damn if Ultimate Tenkaichi allowed CaCs to get their Instructor's combos then what stops Xenoverse from doing the same, especially with THIS AMOUNT OF CHARACTERS but no give us fucking LIMIT BURSTS the most idiotic shit that came out of this game. Going into the partner character customization, they are more free than the CaC clothes but are confusing as fuck as to what you can or cannot color, like Vegeta's Jump Suit, Cooler's Purple Body, DBS Broly's Pants, Tapion's Pants, Android 16's Jump Suit, and other examples that I'm forgetting because if it isn't obvious, I'm writing this out of pure rage. I could go on and on but I want to get into my final gripe with this game and it's the: - Parallel Quests and CPU biases are what made me waver on this game and soon enough gave me a burning hatred for it later on, nothing pissed me off more in this game than how they decided to handle the Parallel Quests and especially the CPU, You already talked about the Parallel Quests main problem that being the stupid RNG but the CPU is also one of the Horsemans in this game. It has been 8 WHOLE YEARS, 8 YEARS and they do not give any, NOT ONE single update to how these CPU work especially when they are working with you, they can be the fucking DUMBEST CPUs to ever exist while the opponent CPU is cracked in every since of the word, not to mention the DAMAGE BUFF they get in some parallel quests to make the fucking quest harder than it already is, plus there are times where it's JUST CHARACTERS TALKING wasting the time you have because YOU ARE LIMITED. In conclusion, this video made me feel validated in what I've been saying ever since that fucking SSG Vegeta, Ribrianne, and SSBE Vegeta DLC, this game is a disappointing, rushed, inexcusable, scummy mess that has only gotten worse over time, adding updates to character's moves that SHOULD'VE BEEN IN THE GAME WHEN THEY CAME OUT like Gogeta's God Punisher, Zamasu's Instant Severance, and the SUPER SPIRIT BOMB. Not to mention whatever the Ultra Supervillain characters which is literally just a worse-looking model being resold with oves they should've had in the base game. What pisses me off the most is that Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 had the potential to become the best Dragon Ball Game of all time yet every chance they are given to prove that they immediately throw it in your face, gives you something you didn't want and shoves a middle finger in it for good measure, it sucks that a couple of FANS could make a Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 than the actual developers, this game does not deserve the Modding Community it has ESPECIALLY THE EXPANSION AND THE REVAMP TEAM. I know you're more optimistic about this game but I personally am not and honestly hope this game dies out soon. I already know about how bad the rng can be if you saw seereax's namekian series. The amount of attempts it took for him to get teliporting vanishing death ball was absolutely BRUTAL to watch.
While I still have many problems with Xenoverse 2, I enjoy it for what it is. It’s an old game that gets new content from time to time. Like, imagine a game you used to play 10 years ago, now imagine it getting new content. That’s insane dude! With the sheer amount of games that are trying to be live service games, this one tried, failed, and is now living on as a sort of single player experience. Plus, now there’s Sparking Zero if you want to go crazy fighting people online. I may have also become somewhat numb to the RNG grind because of the first game though, back then I spent several hours a day for days grinding one mission for the Z sword. 😅
you know what makes the whole cac customization thing worse? In Ultimate Tenkaichi, you could make your outfit any color you wanted and the Saiyan tails moved.

This game is literally what got me into dragon ball. CaCs where my favorite concept in this game, bought this game when akira toriyama recently passed away. I still had fun with it but there are still some issues like why are some character just exclusive to some races, it can clearly be on some races. There’s also a complaint that most attacks in this game just feel way too similar, it’s either a energy ball or a laser beam. I also hate the way you have to get 6 star QQ bang is through multiplayer At the end the game still made parts of my childhood but do we really need a xenoverse 3
So much potential squandered. It’s the only dragon ball game I can really get into, but the customization and transformations have infinite missed possibilities.

Thx man! To me this game was a dream come true. The first Dragon Ball game to create your own character as far as I know(we don't talk about Ultimate Tenkaichi). I was so happy to play it. But now...
I say this as someone that BARELY touched online for as long as I played XV2, the RNG for PQs and especially EQs are horrendous. I get it, they want the PQs to have "replayability" so they aren't just a one and done thing. But they could've done it in so many ways that DIDN'T involve making the player get an Ultimate Finish on a PQ several times in a row just to get one move. Maybe give the missions branching paths of varying difficulty, with each one giving you a move/SS/item guaranteed. It's just so repetitive, the missions are NOT fun enough to warrant playing them over and over. At the very least, it ain't like XV1, where even getting the Ultimate Finish to come up was linked to RNG. Also, personal thing, but I find Lvl 6 QQ Bangs kinda scuffed. Like, Lvls 1-5 made sense, the higher level you create, the more points you gain and lose in your attribute slots. Kept things balanced. But LVL 6, all that goes out the window. You can end up with a QQ Bang that's +5 in almost every category, but -1 in something like Health. They're just straight upgrades you can only get from the online PQ tours, which is pretty lame.
I've recently started to replay it before sparking zero. Starting a new character without any previous saved data is miserable, and without the good online functionality, it feels very lonely. It's so weird walking throughout the city, seeing all the people's avatars, and never getting to interact because you can't find a game.
What broke me was just how hard it is to hit these long ultimates on the cpu that admittedly look pretty cool. I stamina break them and then a piece of the stage gets in the way, or my team mate cpus blast them out of the way, or the move just decides it doesn’t want to work, or since they recover stamina faster than us they recover before the move finishes, THAT I ALREADY HIT the and evasive skill in the middle of the move. I’m done with this game imma just move onto sparkling 0
That's because they knew not many ppl would play breakers so they had to give it something. That's why they keep unique things in it, The game didn't sell well and now it's free.
Breakers only got it because the game's player base was too small to have crossplay, while dbx2 is getting to the point where it's hard to do anything but dlc quests online without crossplay. Sparking Zero doesn't have it but it doesn't need it to easily get into matches and if most of your friends have the same console you're perfectly fine, or just play via steam remote play if you have a pc
I remember the fake leaks that said "Xenoverse 3 is in development and will come out in 2020 and it will have the following features: Hair will change when transforming into any SSJ form. The Bio Android species. Subclasess (Pureblood or Hybrid for Saiyans, Android or Superhuman, 5th Form or Golden, be a healer like Dende or a Fighter like Piccolo). The basic combo stat and special strike stat will merge so they can add the Magic stat, Majin and Nameks have the most potential in this stat." Among some other really fucking cool things.
As someone who loves the game; he's absolutely right. All wigs should be added to hairstyles with interchangeable colors rather than just being a wig, connection NEEDS to be more stable, clothing is getting better but it should've been this already. You not being able to find matches or rarely finding matches isn’t really a big surprise: most people just avoid PvP because we don’t want to deal with that spamming bs. I only tried PvP like twice and quit. I am not playing against a vanish spam so boring 💤
i always liked this game, just because i played it when i was a feeble-minded 9 year old and never noticed the issues. now, im giving it another try and i havent encountered these yet (aside from grinding for dragon balls and getting NOTHING after killing like 30 time patrollers in pqs) and after seeing this vid, im still gonna play it idc cuz i dont play multiplayer pvp

I have such a love hate relationship with this game, its just so many good ideas with either ok or bad execution. its far from the worst dragon ball game, but in terms of online experience you will either a ok time or have to deal with some of the most frustrating online experiences in any dragon ball game
I remember trying to get moves in Xenoverse 2, the RNG would always fuck me over with the biggest middle finger in history💀(not to mention the A.I was so fucking annoying)

This game was made 1 year after Xenoverse 1 so, it was doomed to be in a rushed state. But you have to respect that it was buying time for Sparking Zero.

I feel honored to be your 1000th subscriber man. Great video with great points! I personally like Xenoverse 2, I think it's a fun game, but honestly it does get a bit boring. The combat is very VERY lacking in terms of mechanics. If we could get a Xenoverse 3, with the exact combat of Sparking/Budokai Tenkaichi, along with the content and RPG aspects, I think we could have a near perfect Dragon Ball game. Since Sparking Zero took 5 years to make that alone, it would take quite a bit of time to make a Dragon Ball game with the fighting gameplay of Budokai Tenkaichi, and the RPG/MMO aspect of Xenoverse. I love the content in Xenoverse, but I perfer the gameplay in Sparking. For me, gameplay is what makes the game. Sometimes a lot of content doesn't matter if it feels bloated, repetitive, and meaningless (like a lot of the content in Xenoverse). Keep up the great work man!

Ngl the only thing I don’t like with XV is the RNG. I did a PQ where I was trying to get divine wrath purification, it took me 17 tries. I got a Z rank and the ultimate finish multiple times, and I didn’t get it…only until I beat the quest with a C is when I got it. Neo Wolf Fang Fist also felt like it took forever to get. I really hate the RNG in this game and wish it was locked behind an Ultimate Finish. I understand wanting rewards to take effort, but it’s pretty dumb to have a player work their ass off, get an ult finish and Z rank without anyone dying, only for the game to roll a dice at the end of the quest and go “Nope, no skill/clothes for you”. Also, I do wish that for the CACs, they’d get a bit of an overhaul, like more hair options, and not needing to get a SEPARATE type of clothing JUST to change the colors
8:13 about the crystals, you can gust give a gift to FU from the TP Shop that will give you 10 crystals. Since you are on PC, you can edit the amount of TP medals you got to infinitely but the crystals, just edit in the max crystals, or simple edit in the skills you wanted to unlock For console, the best we can do is use a save editor to either give us max TP or use someone else Max save to relieve the grinding. Sure that’s not ideal for the console players case cause you would need to buy a save editor or something like that, but on PC will automatically let you just do it for free. Takes out the grinding and ruins the fun? Well if it’s a hassle to get through the legit way, might aswell use the tools you got to save your time.
You know honestly. You’ve made a lot of good points. I’ve been playing xenoverse since day 1 so I understand the frustration. It’s fine to make an unbalanced game (like certain characters being op) but to have the netcode fight against you is always infuriating. I feel like netcode isn’t as bad of a problem on consoles. But to counter myself I rarely do pvp since I suck at it
I used to love this game. Within my first year or 2 of playing it. When i started my YT, it became the maon basis of my channel. Then i started seeing its flaws. Then i would go weeks without playing it. Then a month. Then months plural. It got to the point i would only get on the game once a month just to do challenges for Breakers. This game could've been so much better man
My only problem is that it got supported for an awfully long time rather than moving on to doing Xenoverse 3. Sparking! ZERO, however, *THAT'S* a game deserving of the amount of support Xenoverse 2 got, because fans have wanted Tenkaichi 4 for many years now and they finally got it, so it deserves to get bigger.

I have over 800 hours and I still play the game even when sparking zero is out, and I do admit that they’re both different games. I believe xeno 2 has WAY more flaws than sparking zero, and I’ve only been playing it for about a week. Both are great imo, speaking as dragon ball being my favorite show

I love half the supers being nigh unusable because the startup is so long that the AI will punish you instantly for trying it, even after stamina breaking them its a toss up (or it just whiffs). There's a reason this game can turn into a total cheese fest a lot of the time, especially for some of the really bad PQs where you have to fight like 7 guys with cracked stats that also get up again and then transform so you have to fight like 12 dudes. Or shit like raids where you can get kicked because you didn't pick the meta. Its tedious.
Quality content. Hope this goes far. XV2 is such an oddball. I still have fun with it (in offline) , im sure even with sparking I'm going to come back to this game every once and a while just because I kinda have fun trying to create different builds with mentors. Unironically the biggest issue I've faced is the wigs section and not mentioned in the video but the lack of wig selection. Why do we have a king vegeta wig but no (base) vegeta wig?
Its aight. Its own charms and customizations keeps me coming back. The combat is still very shallow and broken, but it being broken is also partially fun. I still like it, but sometimes i need a break. The game would be more bareable if i could make PQ playlists and just have automatic teleportation around the hub vs me having to find a bot or wait for one to spawn in with the poor netcode.

Also another random complaint about how Xenoverse 2 is handeled compared to breakers, hair physics. In the breakers, your CAC's hair has actual physics, it moves when you move and it keeps that when you go SSJ. Xenoverse 2 doesn't have that for some reason even tho the 2 games pretty much run on the same engine as far as i know. Now, hair physics not being there on it's own isn't really a big deal, but it does show a lack polish and care. Why bother putting it in breakers but not in Xenoverse 2, same with SSJ4, it just doesn't really make any sense from a logical and a business standpoint. Why not give the players what they've asked for since the launch of the damn game. Dimps literally has no excuse here. They're literally throwing away money.

I've done the PQ mission for toppo stupid finger volley attack that I want just to have it over 40 times no cap, I have done the mission 1-3 a day with my brother since june too august of 2024. Wtf.
Dbz xenoverse 1 was worse, I had seen grind for spiritbomb for 10s of hours, getting perfect, doing the needed quest and everything. Still didn't get it. I for sure did the mission well over 50 times and still nothing. My bro got it 1st try! No special ending either, F me!

Son I grinded the quest to get super black kamehameha rose I got a fucking Z rank on that mission and never got the damn skill…have tried multiple times I just gave up . RNG really makes the game horrible asf to play so many damn skills to get from the DLC’s and you literally can’t even unlock them all because of how the game is designed it’s terrible

Funny thing about that...Not only did they add both of those things to Breakers but, also hair physics but, only chose to add that for xeno on Beast Gohans Bang.
They need to have every piece of clothing color customizable, custom aura's inside the game (NOT the lobby😑), Different battle stances another thing breakers has through transforming with a transphere, more than one accessory slot...do I need to say what game has that??
Ive played this on and off for 7-8 Years but, played heavy almost every day the first few years I was hooked on the idea the potential it had. I dont even think of it anymore unless a dlc comes out. Im obligated to return with over 62 days (Xbox as a Adult) and over 2,000 hours (PS4 as a Teen) of time spent on it. I dont even play anything besides PQ's atp I help other people out. I come back because of the amount of fun Ik I can have in it but it has major issues for me. In terms of PvP and how toxic it is. Shouldn't have to say it but
"Say 😁". Even now the "Festival of universe's" is just a way to drip feed content that should have been in the game day one.
Oh I almost forgot...our true worst enemy the A....I.... Never have I ever fought and thought my teammates are my enemies. Because they will Interrupt your combos, knock them away(Dash Kick 💯 of the time), or be completely defenseless in those protection missions.

Out of every DB game I ever played Raging Blast Gameplay wise was my favorite thing ever and always wanted something like it since. Sparking Zero is much looser feeling than that for sure but that foundation is almost the same. Everything I could do there I could do here.
Xenoverse 2 has the POTENTIAL to be a FAR more enjoyable game just from the CAC aspect for me but it STILL isnt there. I atleast like that Fu most likely will be straight evil and give us our own personal villain that actually interacted with us multiple times almost had a Brotherly Bond🗿.

Can't believe nobody is talking about how absolute garbage the npc allies were in this game.I could handle everything else wrong with this game but the npc allies in parallel quest ruining my combos and knocking them away from my supers and ultimates made this game practically unplayable.I used to wonder if the npc's actually on my side or are they playing for the other team??
also: whenever you are alone: The enemies play fair and only attack you one at a time
But if you have an ally, they will attack you at the same time while your ally stands there and looks
That's why i now do solo and only use NPCs when it's needed.
But my GOD were they dogshit. the amount of times they did this to me and my friend.
If XV2 was lore accurate, our CaCs would just KO both the enemies and Allies.
I'd get so mad at the Allies, i would start a custom match against the CPU that pissed me off and body it until i was satisfied. Even at one point, i downed it with an Ult and actually said "Next time, you'll learn your fucking place bitch" like it could hear me lmao. I just hated them so much.
But the things i hate with NPCs are the ones who need to be protected for the Quest or you lose and they run into an Ult and take damage.
HEAVY on the customization, I remember buying this game back in 2018 as a young boy getting excited to have my own unique character with color customizable clothes and different hairstyles in super saiyan just for it to be botched.
The fans call it “netcodeverse” for a reason

I love Xenoverse 2. The only problem is you NEED DLCs to have fun and they don't update customisation. Theres only 2 "hard" missions. But I installed Revamp mod and i'm loving it again

You would be amazed what a developer can create in his free time. However add in a dose of expectation and criticism and then watch how the modder takes a year to update his jank because "life got difficult" how many times have you scrolled down a mod authors page and saw that exact phrase. What he failed to include as a PC gamer who also enjoys mods is that whenever XV2 has an update it will break your mods. The reason he needs to use the skill editor is because the character file is corrupted sometimes during these updates as well so you have to make a new character. One of my favorite mods for transformations relies on outdated mods that havent been touched since 2020 (Lazy's auras looking at you). XV2 is garbage on PC the custom forms are nonsense anyways. So what I have 180 forms to use. You ain't missing out. Novelty wore off after about an hour.

I just want them to add Kai, demons, androids, maybe even Tuffles or whatever Granolah is. The cac’s were the biggest selling point of this game imo but theres so little they can do if they aren’t a saiyan 😢

Barely any innovation, Developer Negligence, Hackers, a sub par character creator, lag, empty dev promises, among hundreds of other issues and this recent laackluster lazily crafted DLC was the final nail in the coffin for me.

It took me 3 years to get Revenge Death Ball. I would grind that quest for at least 4-5 hours a day when Extra Pack 3 came out.
The main thing I hate about Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2, is the issue of modders/hackers on the Playstation version of the game. They made ranked and even the normal pvp aspect of the game, much worse than it already was. While, Dimps and Bandai made very small efforts to even rectify the problem.
Xenoverse 2 supports the use of mods so it ain’t really an issue unless you’re really trash at the game
@ XV2 doesn’t support the use of mods, in the sense that they are meant to be included in the game and accessible to players. Only reason why they haven’t been dealt with is because the devs don’t care. Doesn’t matter now Sparking Zero is so much better.

It's good in the sense that the gameplay can be fun
It's bad in the sense that it maximizes the amount of waiting between prompts, menus and clicking, slow RNG, unskippeable tutorials, and other annoying features to frustrate you
It's a torture device that you choose to come back to.
In the words of TFS Krillin "OH MY GOD SOMEONE FINALLY PUT IT INTO WORDS" I cannot DESCRIBE how much I went from loving this game to absolutely hating it, I've been a fan of it for almost its ENTIRE LIFE and only realized how bad the game was during the time Dimps forgot to program Super Saiyan Blue Evolution as a free update SOMEHOW. Ever since I've been wary of my love for Xenoverse, the community sure as hell did not help and every time I replayed the game with a new character I would get angrier and angrier with the game for other shit it failed to do as a GAME less so a Dragon Ball Game.
- The Story Mode is shit and is just a rehash of Xenoverse 1's Story except with LESS what-if scenarios (Crazy how fucking TENKAICHI GAMES managed to do that more properly than this game.) and the worst the time alteration will get is a movie character being in the main story or simply just LIE TO YOU (example being when Gohan goes Super Saiyan 2, Trunks says the Cell Jrs being there is the time alteration WHEN THERE WERE ALREADY THERE IN THE MAIN STORY) moreover, I find it hilarious that Dragon Ball fans will get on Kakarot for repeating the story of Dragon Ball Z but bats an eye when Xenoverse 2 rips off Xenoverse 1's story but for some reason Old Kai was added to the group for no reason other than to continuously say "Who is that guy" every time a Movie Villain shows up. Circling back to the Time Alterations, it is a mind fuck how they simply didn't bother to add something different to make the Time Alterations be ALTERATIONS other than the villains getting stronger, like I know they can't use DBH stuff but at least come up with something new of your own, Raging Blast gave us SUPER SAIYAN 3 VEGETA AND BROLY yet the most creative this game will get is a fuck ass "Supervillain" Form. Oh, and just to show how fucking bad Xenoverse 2's story is they added a DLC allowing players to experience Xenoverse 1's story which not only is scummy as fuck when it's literally the same story but better but highlights other issues within the game like staying in your transformation during cutscenes. The DLC stories are just as bad with the SLIGHT exception of the Goku Black Saga but that does the same as I said prior and makes Goku Black stronger and bring in Movie Villains, it's not an actual alteration. The Fu DLC while being actual alterations and genuinely the only fun I ever had in this fucking game is also stupid considering Fu is just....a nothing character and doesn't really move the plot, he just fucks around for "Funsies" and turns Dabura into stone and maybe has you fight MUI Goku but what pisses me off about him is that he gives the player the illusion of choice to "Help out Fu" which has no repercussions whatsoever and you're right back to try to stop him from altering timelines. The Dabura DLC pissed me the hell off mostly because he's just a character that pops up, does essentially nothing due to you having Fu on your side, and immediately DIES in the same DLC he was brought into so Fu can go back to being the "Villain" of this mess of a story.
- The TP Medals in this fucking game are atrocious and now that it's essentially been replaced with STP Medals (which people who don't have an Online Subscription cannot get) is so fucking annoying because most of your time grinding for TP Medals hasn’t changed to be any more fun, optimal, or fast than it was when this shit fest of a game came out, it's either gather the Dragon Balls (which requires RNG), Do Parallel Quests (which will no longer give TP once you already finished them), Do Expert Missions (Same issue as the PQ), Do Raids (which requires an Online Subscription), Do Story Modes/DLC (Same issues as the PQs and Expert Missions), all of this shit just to get a BARE MINIMUM of what most of the shit in the TP Medal Shop have because they are overpriced as fuck for no reason (ESPECIALLY THE CC BUDDY).
- The characters are fucking awful, it pisses me off how people will try to defend the game by having multiple characters with the EXACT SAME COMBOS by trying to fit the Tenkaichi Games into that same bubble when not only Tenkaichi actually CHANGED the combos for every single form (even in Sparking 0) but DOESN'T TAKE UP MOST OF THE ROSTER WHEN THEY HAVE THE SAME COMBOS AND ANIMATIONS. Not to mention the models look fucking atrocious, the newer ones lesso but the older models are so awful especially in Super Saiyan where they constantly looked like they were dipped in fucking oil which is stupid because some cutscenes in Xenoverse 1, and the Xenoverse 1 DLC have shown the models without the weird oil shit and it looks BETTER, every character (kinda) has hair physics except for the player character for some reason, and everyone also just has a blank expression aside from the obvious Idle Animation, one of the examples is Caulifla where people praised her having an animation when she headbutts but if you go into photo mode and zoom in on her face she shows NO EMOTION, and the biggest example being once again the player character, no matter what emote they make in the game they still have a blank expression which doesn't give any character to them whatsoever speaking of the Player Character. - THE. PLAYER. CHARACTER. (+ Customization) Nothing pissed me off more when realizing how bad of a game Xenoverse 2 is than the lack of customization, depth, or overall care the Player Character has gotten over the years despite it being the literal poster child of the entire game and the character a lot of people are going to be playing, I already discussed the facial animations so I'll get to the obvious issue, TRANSFORMATIONS. First of all, the Super Saiyan forms look awful, ignoring the issue I already had, they don't have traits the transformations should have like Super Saiyan God not making your body slimmer or Super Saiyan Blue Evolution not making you buffer, or I dunno THE FUCKING HAIR STANDING UP but that's an obvious issue that has been complained about for years so I'll get to something else. The game has an obvious Saiyan Bias (despite getting fucked over the hardest with Transformations that should be in the game day 1 *COUGH* SUPER SAIYAN 4 *COUGH*) and even ignoring that the transformations the other races are getting still fucking suck, Power Pole Pro is just making the earthling character's base combo just the Power Pole Pro Super Skill with some added animations that and Golden are the least of my issues. Giant Namekian despite being a form the Player Characters have is not something Piccolo or Slug have which is stupid and what's even more stupid are the moves the form gives you because it's all just the same move just at a different angle and a shockwave attack which screams lazy, but the worst one is Purification which is literally turning your Majin (by the way we still don't have a Super Buu type Male Majin) into Kid Buu combos and all paired with animations the original Kid Buu should've gotten, that is PEAK laziness but it wasn't even the last time they were lazy with Majins, even if you have Black Sclera, if you go Beast with a Majin they just magically turn your Sclera to white, same for bald characters with Beast which is again extremely lazy. Second, Customization has been a criticism thrown at this game for a good reason because it's either the Devs were very bias, held off on what they could've made in order to sell it for more money, or simply did not give a fuck. I know you talked about most of the CaC clothing issues but like damn if Ultimate Tenkaichi allowed CaCs to get their Instructor's combos then what stops Xenoverse from doing the same, especially with THIS AMOUNT OF CHARACTERS but no give us fucking LIMIT BURSTS the most idiotic shit that came out of this game. Going into the partner character customization, they are more free than the CaC clothes but are confusing as fuck as to what you can or cannot color, like Vegeta's Jump Suit, Cooler's Purple Body, DBS Broly's Pants, Tapion's Pants, Android 16's Jump Suit, and other examples that I'm forgetting because if it isn't obvious, I'm writing this out of pure rage. I could go on and on but I want to get into my final gripe with this game and it's the:
- Parallel Quests and CPU biases are what made me waver on this game and soon enough gave me a burning hatred for it later on, nothing pissed me off more in this game than how they decided to handle the Parallel Quests and especially the CPU, You already talked about the Parallel Quests main problem that being the stupid RNG but the CPU is also one of the Horsemans in this game. It has been 8 WHOLE YEARS, 8 YEARS and they do not give any, NOT ONE single update to how these CPU work especially when they are working with you, they can be the fucking DUMBEST CPUs to ever exist while the opponent CPU is cracked in every since of the word, not to mention the DAMAGE BUFF they get in some parallel quests to make the fucking quest harder than it already is, plus there are times where it's JUST CHARACTERS TALKING wasting the time you have because YOU ARE LIMITED.
In conclusion, this video made me feel validated in what I've been saying ever since that fucking SSG Vegeta, Ribrianne, and SSBE Vegeta DLC, this game is a disappointing, rushed, inexcusable, scummy mess that has only gotten worse over time, adding updates to character's moves that SHOULD'VE BEEN IN THE GAME WHEN THEY CAME OUT like Gogeta's God Punisher, Zamasu's Instant Severance, and the SUPER SPIRIT BOMB. Not to mention whatever the Ultra Supervillain characters which is literally just a worse-looking model being resold with oves they should've had in the base game. What pisses me off the most is that Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 had the potential to become the best Dragon Ball Game of all time yet every chance they are given to prove that they immediately throw it in your face, gives you something you didn't want and shoves a middle finger in it for good measure, it sucks that a couple of FANS could make a Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 than the actual developers, this game does not deserve the Modding Community it has ESPECIALLY THE EXPANSION AND THE REVAMP TEAM. I know you're more optimistic about this game but I personally am not and honestly hope this game dies out soon. While I still have many problems with Xenoverse 2, I enjoy it for what it is. It’s an old game that gets new content from time to time. Like, imagine a game you used to play 10 years ago, now imagine it getting new content. That’s insane dude! With the sheer amount of games that are trying to be live service games, this one tried, failed, and is now living on as a sort of single player experience. Plus, now there’s Sparking Zero if you want to go crazy fighting people online. I may have also become somewhat numb to the RNG grind because of the first game though, back then I spent several hours a day for days grinding one mission for the Z sword. 😅
you know what makes the whole cac customization thing worse? In Ultimate Tenkaichi, you could make your outfit any color you wanted and the Saiyan tails moved.

This game is literally what got me into dragon ball. CaCs where my favorite concept in this game, bought this game when akira toriyama recently passed away.
I still had fun with it but there are still some issues like why are some character just exclusive to some races, it can clearly be on some races. There’s also a complaint that most attacks in this game just feel way too similar, it’s either a energy ball or a laser beam. I also hate the way you have to get 6 star QQ bang is through multiplayer

I say this as someone that BARELY touched online for as long as I played XV2, the RNG for PQs and especially EQs are horrendous.
I get it, they want the PQs to have "replayability" so they aren't just a one and done thing. But they could've done it in so many ways that DIDN'T involve making the player get an Ultimate Finish on a PQ several times in a row just to get one move. Maybe give the missions branching paths of varying difficulty, with each one giving you a move/SS/item guaranteed. It's just so repetitive, the missions are NOT fun enough to warrant playing them over and over. At the very least, it ain't like XV1, where even getting the Ultimate Finish to come up was linked to RNG.
Also, personal thing, but I find Lvl 6 QQ Bangs kinda scuffed. Like, Lvls 1-5 made sense, the higher level you create, the more points you gain and lose in your attribute slots. Kept things balanced. But LVL 6, all that goes out the window. You can end up with a QQ Bang that's +5 in almost every category, but -1 in something like Health. They're just straight upgrades you can only get from the online PQ tours, which is pretty lame.
Yeah and the hairstyles are so lackluster like can we please have raditz hair

I've recently started to replay it before sparking zero. Starting a new character without any previous saved data is miserable, and without the good online functionality, it feels very lonely. It's so weird walking throughout the city, seeing all the people's avatars, and never getting to interact because you can't find a game.
You hit so many of the absolutely baffling and frustrating decisions Dimps made in this game. They really should watch this video.

What broke me was just how hard it is to hit these long ultimates on the cpu that admittedly look pretty cool. I stamina break them and then a piece of the stage gets in the way, or my team mate cpus blast them out of the way, or the move just decides it doesn’t want to work, or since they recover stamina faster than us they recover before the move finishes, THAT I ALREADY HIT the and evasive skill in the middle of the move.

Breakers only got it because the game's player base was too small to have crossplay, while dbx2 is getting to the point where it's hard to do anything but dlc quests online without crossplay. Sparking Zero doesn't have it but it doesn't need it to easily get into matches and if most of your friends have the same console you're perfectly fine, or just play via steam remote play if you have a pc

All wigs should be added to hairstyles with interchangeable colors rather than just being a wig, connection NEEDS to be more stable, clothing is getting better but it should've been this already. Id rather consistent updates/fixes rather than DBXV3 that'll just have us pay for content we paid for already in the previous.

I feel honored to be your 1000th subscriber man. Great video with great points! I personally like Xenoverse 2, I think it's a fun game, but honestly it does get a bit boring. The combat is very VERY lacking in terms of mechanics. If we could get a Xenoverse 3, with the exact combat of Sparking/Budokai Tenkaichi, along with the content and RPG aspects, I think we could have a near perfect Dragon Ball game. Since Sparking Zero took 5 years to make that alone, it would take quite a bit of time to make a Dragon Ball game with the fighting gameplay of Budokai Tenkaichi, and the RPG/MMO aspect of Xenoverse. I love the content in Xenoverse, but I perfer the gameplay in Sparking. For me, gameplay is what makes the game. Sometimes a lot of content doesn't matter if it feels bloated, repetitive, and meaningless (like a lot of the content in Xenoverse). Keep up the great work man!

Ngl the only thing I don’t like with XV is the RNG. I did a PQ where I was trying to get divine wrath purification, it took me 17 tries. I got a Z rank and the ultimate finish multiple times, and I didn’t get it…only until I beat the quest with a C is when I got it. Neo Wolf Fang Fist also felt like it took forever to get. I really hate the RNG in this game and wish it was locked behind an Ultimate Finish. I understand wanting rewards to take effort, but it’s pretty dumb to have a player work their ass off, get an ult finish and Z rank without anyone dying, only for the game to roll a dice at the end of the quest and go “Nope, no skill/clothes for you”. Also, I do wish that for the CACs, they’d get a bit of an overhaul, like more hair options, and not needing to get a SEPARATE type of clothing JUST to change the colors

8:13 about the crystals, you can gust give a gift to FU from the TP Shop that will give you 10 crystals. Since you are on PC, you can edit the amount of TP medals you got to infinitely but the crystals, just edit in the max crystals, or simple edit in the skills you wanted to unlock
For console, the best we can do is use a save editor to either give us max TP or use someone else Max save to relieve the grinding.
Sure that’s not ideal for the console players case cause you would need to buy a save editor or something like that, but on PC will automatically let you just do it for free. Takes out the grinding and ruins the fun? Well if it’s a hassle to get through the legit way, might aswell use the tools you got to save your time.
You know honestly. You’ve made a lot of good points. I’ve been playing xenoverse since day 1 so I understand the frustration. It’s fine to make an unbalanced game (like certain characters being op) but to have the netcode fight against you is always infuriating. I feel like netcode isn’t as bad of a problem on consoles. But to counter myself I rarely do pvp since I suck at it

I used to love this game. Within my first year or 2 of playing it. When i started my YT, it became the maon basis of my channel. Then i started seeing its flaws. Then i would go weeks without playing it. Then a month. Then months plural. It got to the point i would only get on the game once a month just to do challenges for Breakers. This game could've been so much better man

I love half the supers being nigh unusable because the startup is so long that the AI will punish you instantly for trying it, even after stamina breaking them its a toss up (or it just whiffs). There's a reason this game can turn into a total cheese fest a lot of the time, especially for some of the really bad PQs where you have to fight like 7 guys with cracked stats that also get up again and then transform so you have to fight like 12 dudes. Or shit like raids where you can get kicked because you didn't pick the meta. Its tedious.

XV2 is such an oddball. I still have fun with it (in offline) , im sure even with sparking I'm going to come back to this game every once and a while just because I kinda have fun trying to create different builds with mentors. Unironically the biggest issue I've faced is the wigs section and not mentioned in the video but the lack of wig selection.

Its aight. Its own charms and customizations keeps me coming back. The combat is still very shallow and broken, but it being broken is also partially fun. I still like it, but sometimes i need a break.
The game would be more bareable if i could make PQ playlists and just have automatic teleportation around the hub vs me having to find a bot or wait for one to spawn in with the poor netcode.

Now, hair physics not being there on it's own isn't really a big deal, but it does show a lack polish and care. Why bother putting it in breakers but not in Xenoverse 2, same with SSJ4, it just doesn't really make any sense from a logical and a business standpoint.
Why not give the players what they've asked for since the launch of the damn game. Dimps literally has no excuse here. They're literally throwing away money.
The first XV was so frustrating, i didn't even bothered with the second one (somehow XV2 looks even greedy-er)
