to the people sayingit's better than the original, that's just because this is the song if it was a rock song, whereas 5sos did it less rock and sadder.

I didn't mean the lyrics, I meant the sound. The original one is all slow, an acoustic song. But THIS is not like that at all. It's the way Amnesia would have sounded if Good Charlotte had kept it for themselves.
Someone needs to show this cover to 5SOS there looking for bands to sign to their hi or hey record label.

Constructive criticism. Not bad, but for me, this song loses a little of it's meaning sped up. You did well and the sound was mixed very well, I just didn't enjoy it sped up. You have mad talent and I won't take that away from your band. Keep on rockin!!
Fair enough! I can see what you mean. It's an emotional song and the higher tempo can make the mood seem lighter depending on the listeners perception. However we had a blast with this song, the faster tempo is tons of fun and adds a new level of depth to the song for us. Can definitely see where you're coming from though
I totally agree with your perspective and why you did it. Some times you just have to jam. I to periodically speed some stuff up for fun. All depends on mood. Keep up the good work and I will definitely be listening to more of your music!! .

After we took our break Lucas and I (Dylan) covered jet black heart with another band Woke Up Waiting. It's not necessarily "faster" but it's more upbeat. Definitely check it out, and the new video our new line up just posted on this channel.

This is one of my favorite song ever, it means a lot to me and it's one of the first that I heard by the lovely 5SOS so I have to say that I was a little scared that you might have - not ruined it - but did it pretty bad. And I was soooo wrong, as soon as I heard the electric guitar I was like “holy fuck that's gonna be amazing !” and guess what ? That's almost better than the original one, I love it, keep rockin‘ you'll go far xx (by the way, it's true, you guys make me think of Good Charlotte ;))

Actually only Lucas is in Woke Up Waiting, but you can see Dylan (guitar) and Austin (drums) in the new video as well as future posts coming soon with some of our other friends. Taylor (bass) isn't pursuing any musical projects at the moment but he's still writing so keep an eye out for him in the future. :)
Honestly, I loooove the song, the rythm, the guitar riffs, voice and everything. But you missed out the whole meaning of the song. It's not meant to sound all happy and it's not meant to have people dance around and laugh and smile. It's about trying to forget someone who left you behind and who moved on while you're hurting and trying to focus on the good memories and forget the bad ones but failing. It's meant to be sad.... Would call it a good cover for the instrumental but not for the emotions or meaning... Just my opinion tho

I was watching your cover of Check Yes Juliet by We The Kings and I saw that you have done one of Amnesia so I watched it. And I was like : "I really hope they did not ruin the song" because 5 Seconds Of Summer is my favourite band. I guess I can definitly say that you did not ruin it. It was great not only because I like the original song also because you made it sound different and that's why it's so good.
