- Come with me on an epic journey through time and space, from Earth to the edge of the observable universe. In this experience, you will fly faster than the speed of light out of the solar system, out of the Milky Way galaxy and into intergalactic space, the region in between the galaxies. Here you will observe the cosmic web, the building blocks of the cosmos. If you enjoyed this universe flythrough then remember to tap the like button and subscribe!

In this video, we will travel to the edge of the observable universe and explore the space in between the galaxies. I was inspired to make this video after watching the European space observatories amazing zoom out animation created by L. Calçada, M. Kornmesser using spaceengine.org. The incredible music during the universe flythrough is by Jennifer Athena Galatis. I have added an epic intro briefly covering the Big Bang, a descriptive voice-over during the flythrough and an ending that explains a bit about why we can't see beyond our observable universe. I really enjoyed making this one, and I hope you enjoy the journey! Have a great day, and keep looking up! V
I love this
Well Earth is 4.5b years old it's old 🗝️ unlock the universe edge gonna be hard

THANK YOU OUTSTANDING VIDEO. GREAT JOB. BE SAFE AND HEALTHY
It is Sunday night in October when I´m watching this. I am angry with my engineer who signed a contract promising to deliver my brand new house a month ago. While watching this masterpiece, for almost 15 minutes I forgot I need a new house, a new car, a new wife, a new everything, pay bills, go back to work on Monday. For almost 15 minutes I realized how tiny and pathetic my existence really is. Take your time mr. Engineer, take your time... I can wait...
Is it worthless? And might be yes.

Omg! I said the same thing in my mind and immediately saw your comment!
I give this a 10/10. It's actually quite remarcable how well is done. Gives you a better understanding of the universe and how small we actually are on this planet. Beautiful planet that is not very well taken care of, sadly :(
We are a parasitic film on the surface of this blue diamond
@@RUclips_Zukz Good reply - the "stuff" is of course all matter which is made up of atoms and yes, you're quite right, many planets out there but none so far in the "sweet spot" of distance from their star to support life, e.g. just like the other planets in our own solar system. I wholeheartedly agree that we as a species need to start treating this blue gem with a lot more respect. Because until we are able to go to other worlds and potentially terraform as you suggest - this is it - this is all we have. And we risk creating a situation here where we lead to our own extinction because we make it uninhabitable - just look at the melting ice situation.....in the next hundred years my Florida home will be under water and most of the Caribbean nations will cease to exist.
@@donaldculp3759 There are many exoplanets in the sweet spot that have been discovered so far, but we don't know whether they have water and atmosphere. Some of them may be twice as big as Earth or larger, which means their gravity on the surface is crushing. They may contain some kind of life, but conditions for human-type life have to be pretty similar to that of Earth. Also, some of those planets are in the goldilock zone of red dwarf stars, which are notorious for their harmful, atmosphere-scrubbing radiation. In other words, the sweet spot is only one element of the equation.
@@deanronson6331 I agree with your assessment. I guess when I think sweetspot, it’s not just distance it IS like you said the star as well as the exoplanet odds for a life-nurturing environment. Haven’t found one yet......our blue gem continues to be singularly precious
@@donaldculp3759 Life also has a chance to exist on planets' moons, and it can be possibly found underwater only. One or two candidates are Jupiter's and Saturn's moons. Even if we found a planet that looks ideal for life or human life, it may be so far away that we won't be able to reach it in any foreseeable future and may perish sooner than our technology of space travel is good enough.

I think this is one of the best videos you have done yet. However, I was not ready to come back to Earth. It was so peaceful out there in the universe.

You’ve never truly know how majestic something is till you see it with your own eyes, what an amazing video
It's just amazing on how ginormous our universe is, just in our galaxy alone we have billions of planets, then u see that our galaxy is just like a spec of sand surrounded by billions of other galaxies with billions of planets within them as well, terrifyingly amazing.
You know what else is ginourmous? "As high as the heavens are above the earth, so great is his (God's) mercy to those who fear him" Jesus died for you, and all he wants is that you trust him and follow him. God doesnt really need you for anything but he wants to be your friend 🙏
2:53 When he said "the cradle of humanity", it sent chills to my spine. Holy cow.
I want to fly on the ship the cameraman was on that filmed this!! Seriously though, RUclips needs to have an award for channel with best content on RUclips because this channel definitely deserves an award like that. Thanks for another spectacular video.
preach it bro!
When you go from seeing dots as stars to dots as galaxies, it really give you an appreciation of the vast size of the Universe and how much more there could be beyond our observable Universe. The deep field photo shows soooo many galaxies, yet it’s only a spot in the sky equivalent to holding a grain of sand out at arms length.
This is far more better than geography!!
I was high watching this and let me tell you, it’s changes your life.
After this I had a strange loneliness feeling. Wow! You’re amazing! Thank you!
its ok lil buddy :)
same i had a tiny panic attack
I must agree. Sense of loneliness, panic and intense isolation overwhelmed me.
You seriously can not tell me there isn’t other living beings besides us
For all the assholes yes I know we aren’t the only living beings I meant out of planet beings
I cannot. Today on my way home from work I saw a big 4-legged beast eating grass and releasing something brown from its rear end. I think they call it a cow.
There's probably a Trillion Planets in our Galaxy alone...
Nope it's just us my boy💯💯
At the same time, look up the probability of life existing, and then evolving into the smart animals we are today, its actually smaller than the amounts of planets.
@@larrymags2045 The likely estimate is somewhere around 100 billion actually. (Still an insane amount)
That was mind blowing! I went to Mauna Kea 2 months ago during a new Moon and had the best view possible of the stars. Via telescope I saw star clusters, galaxies, etc. Our purpose is for the universe to observe itself.

Absolutely loved this one, powerful documentary energy, the narration and the music was the icing on the cake
Truly amazing. Man can never know if the Universe has an edge or are there billions or trillions of universes. We are truly insignificant in the larger scheme of things.

Can I like this twice? Wow, that was truly gorgeous and a humbling reminder of how our Solar System is just one of countless billions in our own Galaxy. Seeing the Earth fade into the sun's brightness as that faded into a field of countless suns, it reminded me that life's little problems are just that. The Universe looks amazing and simply awe-inspiring, IMHO. :)
I know it's crazy
The universe is a very beautifull and peaceful place.
Very well done. I saw a similar idea in “Powers of 10” back in the 1970’s. But we have learned much since then, and the technology has improved by leaps and bounds. This was way better. The music and narration, first rate. Thanks for putting all the effort into this. Most enjoyable and informative.

i can't comprehend imagining that our observable universe is maybe just 1/99999999999999 slice of the whole pie. Its just so beyooond our human comprehension.
❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️watching your videos again and again
Love this video as always from this channel. But who the hell would give this vid a thumbs down? Flat earthers I guess. 🤷♂️
Trillions of planets and ours is the only one which is flat. Crazy!
How incredibly blessed are we to even have the consciousness to begin to fathom what we are looking at here? And as ridiculously tiny as we are on this floating rock in space, we have created the technology to view even a sliver of existence in this much detail.
It truly takes me breath away. The human existence might be full of pain but it is also immensely beautiful everywhere you look or imagine.
The fact you travel back to earth torwads the end is very clever! I get chills, we are so small!

In the past couple of years, I've kind of moved to the belief that the Universe is a sphere and not a "forever long" space. There are spheres all over our universe, it makes sense to me that the universe is forever continuous, because eventually, it runs back on itself. I don't think it's a "sheet" shape.
