My wife and love Harbor Town, especially watching the sunsets at Tuggs. The Wolf River trail is great for shorter walks. It gets interesting when the river is at flood stage. The downside which must be pointed out is Mud Island (Harbor Town is north side of Mud Island) is a sandbar. This is significant because of the high risk of termites. The traditional methods of termite protection doesn’t work. There has been several home which has gone through extensive repairs because. The other downside is the traffic during great weather. It is a big public park across the street on the Mississippi River side. Regardless it is still a unique and great place to live.
Wow I learned something new today and I just saw my termite guy at a home inspection! Very interesting stuff and I will be sure to keep that in mind when selling in Harbor Town. Thanks for watching! 🙂
I'm a high end residential and commercial electrician that has worked in Memphis for 30 years. I have gate codes to neighborhoods most people don't even know exist and have done multiple jobs in Harbor Town including a complete renovation there I was in yesterday. I don't know these ladies at all and have ZERO connections to them at all but every word they said is true! It's safe and private but has a community feel and you'll get back whatever you put in a house! 😁😁
I have two vacant lots in Memphis. I’m glad you have a positive outlook on it. I hear a lot of negative. Would you email me or post your info for when I build or buy a place?
@@mari_j_mc some things look different in the spirit world, I was born and raised in Memphis. The only way I would move back is if God himself told me!
@@shantawilliams9859 well I moved back after being away for 20yrs. I could literally live anywhere in the world and I chose to live in Memphis.. Atlanta doesn’t have water. I wonder if that was really a choice. I doubt that all parties will be satisfied. Politicians will be compensated and if the area gets built it won’t be for the poor. Poor people need to take advantage of the cheap property in their neighborhoods. Shelby County basically gives away property. Your city will either die or be too expensive like NYC and Cali. Residents have to take advantage of low cost investments and ban together rather than crime
@@L0VEJ0NES that's really interesting! I found that when I moved to Memphis after growing up in Houston, I didn't think Memphis was really diverse. You are definitely not from Memphis but I have to admire your attempt to get people to move to the area.... I will say that not every area of Memphis is bad....and Harbor Town is absolutely a beautiful area and a safer part of the city... I was born and raised out there and I actually build some of those homes right that in that very area you're doing your video in... and finally I will say that if you can actually afford a home in that area you will most likely not see a lot of crime or be exposed to some of the more dangerous areas of Memphis Tennessee🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉

Harbor Town is beautiful and yep you echoed exactly what I said in the video regarding safety in the area! Thanks for watching! 🙂
Yes ma'am - We know he's not going to live here. Just the site of the Supercomputer. Even since this video, there have been more community meetings regarding this move and concern within the city.
He will probably have a home here. He is a billionaire. Quite sure he has multiple homes. Either way doesn’t matter if he does or not. The website already has job openings paying more than $100 an hour in the city of Memphis.
I thought the project in Atlanta was a totally different supercomputer that was gonna be used for X, formerly Twitter but fail through bcuz of tax breaks. Memphis actually competed for this supercomputer and won over several other cities.
@@mari_j_mc oh wow I didn't realize the pay but I've already had a family call me from the channel that I will be helping move here because of working at the site. Hello, fellow Memphian here and new subscriber. 😊
Welcome!! 🤗
Sick because I did not buy a mud island home when they first built them for $49k
I’d love to live near a body of water. The architecture is beautiful, reminds me a tad bit of an area in my town
Thanks for the positive feedback about my hometown. I’ll rather live in Memphis any day instead of Hillbilly Land of Nashville🤔🤔
@@_tmilitary And who lives in Nashville?

The fact that he wants this in Memphis says a lot. Memphis it’s time to repent, turn from your wicked ways and turn to God!
What does this even mean? Memphis is a great city. Besides Memphis competed for this opportunity and won over several cities. He did not seek us out.
Yeah, says a lot. Says he’s willing to invest in the area. Memphis ought to be thrilled to land that investment.

Mud Island not the RiverWalk
Mud Island needs 55 and older community
Hey Elon. Come on down!
I love living in Memphis!! But if you are not the type of person that is okay with diversity, this is definitely not the city for you.
