Such a great tune .. probably the last mainstream real radio single of the pumpkins career. When I heard this single on MTV and watched the video I ran out bought the album right away ! Interesting how it’s all just open distortion chords … no classic pumpkins power chords .

Such a clever song leading perfect4th’s and minor 2’s and 3rds when it’s technically in the key of D major! This opened my eyes 15 years ago when I heard it
I think verse is E dorian, chorus is G lydian (both modes are built on D major).

Can I ask what type of drive you use for the verse? I had an mxr distortion 2 and it didn't get close to that tone
nice! I know you're using amplitube, but what might you recommend to play the solo live? (I know it's an ebow, but let's assume we're gonna go with no ebow. ;-) ) Some phaser and delay? But it has such a sharp bite to it at the same time. Maybe keep the bigmuff on as well? hmmmmm
Hi Rob - I just looked at the preset on sparkyguitar.com. It was in GuitarRig... and I used a compressor and a harmonic synthesiser. Note that I didn't use a Big Muff on any of this song - just a well cranked Marshall. If I did it now I would use an eBow (now that I have one!). Cheers!
