If you have any suggestions on how to keep the water warm , please let me know! I was thinking something like a heater and a pump? Would love to find a solution for the next shoot
If you are willing to put a little money into warming there are these: www.joolca.com/products/hottap-v2/?product=HOTTAP-Essentials-Kit&gc_id=9660261757&h_ad_id=426223521738&gclid=CjwKCAjwiLGGBhAqEiwAgq3q_gpC_gbrdvEZ-VSGVyIVXyEq3WEUTNM9g0M8LaS2qElQwAo8NXe4qhoCyB8QAvD_BwE Then you always have a hot shower (or hot water filling ability) for the models health and safety!
The tip to colour the water is so good! I've tried this before and now you've made me realize what I was missing. Can't wait to try it again this summer!
thank you soooo much for this! i was looking for drawing references for a picture of echo and narcissus, so when you added the mirror it gave me such a boods of inspiration
Fill the pool with very warm water right before the shoot. You can get a faucet attachment that will attach to the hose and run it from the bathroom or kitchen! Beautiful work Irene you are my hero !
I would always dump a couple of pots of boiling water into my kids pool before they went in. It helps a lot. I loved this video! I hope you do an editing video soon! I love watching them so much.❤️
What I love about you Irene - is that you show how with the simplest of things you can make anything happen.Your creativity knows no bounds - and your editing skills rock - brilliant.
You can use a kettle with hot water. Fill up the pool, then add 2-3 kettles with hot water. Make sure to spread it across the pool mostly in the center so the hot water won't touch the plastic when they come out of the kettle.
Absolutely stunning!! My suggestion would be to have an assistant next time. For sure. And try out a milk bath like concept next! Thanks for all your suggestions. And for the warm water, you can keep adding in boiling pots of water. Thats what my mom did to heat up the water when we were little to give us a bath.
Going to try this myself because it’s very creative. I want to use one of my male models and convert the photo in black and white and add black dye to the water to give it more depth for an eerie look.
Anybody else watched this video with a near-constant angst that either the camera, or both the camera and Irene would fall into the pool? Love the result by the way, and the idea to put paint in the water to create depth is genius!
This was amazing, I’m gonna try it soon in summer… You should do this shoot in afternoon instead of evening. You’ll get sunlight reflecting in the water and models won’t feel terribly cold..
These images are stunning, Thankyou for showing us the behind the scenes, it’s always so helpful. You have a great accent, I love watching your videos and hearing you talk.
One of the best things as a model in my opinion besides the pictures is working with Great photographers and when they get excited and say they love the pics or that's great and getting animated and excited with the shots ! love hearing them so happy it motivates me to model even better and get excited myself. It's a fun experience to Collab with someone like this . Ps in. A pinch if no water pump have a big pot of boiling water for right before maybe ? Great work and inspiration
maybe a adding a few rounds of boiled water from the kettle so its hotish from the get go? might create a nice steam affect.. or jus adding a dose of hot water during the shoot to keep it warm....
Watercolor is genius! I did a shoot like this and it worked out ok because the dress and backdrop were light blue so still *watery* but I'm excited to try with the colors added now.
Awesome shoot. If you have a water heater, you can run a water hose to it and add hot water to the pool, as needed. Don't fill the pool, until the model is in, and add the warm water, as needed. You could also boil water in a large pot, and add it was needed, without burning yourself or the model. :)
OH! Thanks for the water colour paint tip. I've been wanting to do this for over a year now but had a specific person I wanted and she finally agree so we are going to try this out next Month on a super hot day. I would never have thought about the water colour paints.
Amazing! For my kids I add boiling water from the water boiler before they go in and stir it with the cold water. That makes it warmer! Cheers from Germany I love your videos!
Hey Irene, just boil water in the electric water boiler (like for tea you do) and spill in several times... As well we use for the kids' pool our running hot water from the bathroom to fill the kids small pool like yours by using a hose with an adapter connecting the hot water tap. Investing in solar panels for water (for pools) maybe out of your budget in case it is not used daily. As well, place insulation panels above the pool so that cold earth will not cool down it so fast.
Have 2 or 3 garden hoses (connected together) in a sunny area couple of hours before the photoshoot so the water inside will warm up and use that to fill the pool during the photoshoot.
Beautiful shots Irene, to help keep the water warm in the old days haha we used a water bed heater that lies under the pool don't know if you still get them and my only work inside but your model's are great and your shots amazing, cheers rick from Australia. 😊
Cheap plastic table cloths from the Dollar Store or a Party Supply store also work well to hide the blue pool if you don't have a backdrop you want to get wet.
Irene you're so creative ! Great result ! Just having mains (to power your smoke machine) is not safe at all for your model in the water ! Never put power cords with mains near a pool for safety.
Lovely Imagery!! If your water heater is close enough to the outside wall ( where the pool is located). You can run a garden hose from it to the pool. All hot water tanks have a drain fixture that fits any garden hose. Br careful you'll be working with very hot temps...:)
Irene! Ideas... what about flowers. Just all summer flowers and model bathing quite witchy and natural... or what about citrus slices and pretty summer fruits in water!
Eres maravillosa en tu trabajo!!! Me encanta, Felicidades!! 📸😍🤩 Quisiera saber tomar tu tipo de fotografía, apenas inicio en ello, y no entiendo mucho mi camara😁📸😜
Hi Irene! I love your work! You are an amazing photographer. I am a photographer myself here in the Philippines. and I'm inspired by your photography. Keep doing videos like this.
Exquisite! You got the water to look perfect, a very nice combination of colors, and such a great idea to use watercolors. That first shot you showed is an absolute masterpiece, but I like them all. I loved it and would love to see more like this. The purple flowers really complimented the colors of the water too, Monet vibes, I wish you could use waterlilies too someday but that would get super expensive haha! I think big flowers like peonies would be beautiful, but one thing that can happen with certain flowers is they can turn over all the time in the water, that happened when I used sunflowers for a shoot like this, but that could be because they were top-heavy, perhaps what you did with the small flowers is exactly the best thing to do. Wonderful, excellent video as always, Irene!
I have done water shoot 5 years ago when i started with adult models and inside a bathtub. Result fantastic, today i tried again outdoor with inflatable pool and a tewn model. It was cold, but she had a hard time open her eyes looking up because of the sun. It was an overcast and raining on and off and she cannot open her eyes as big as your model.
This is a shoot I have also wanted to do for a long time. Thank you for your suggestion of using a much larger, rectangular pool. I will purchase that. I spray painted a kids round pool, but thinking about it, I would just get face shots, which wouldn't be ideal for all the effort that goes into it. I found a bed sheet that was mint, but I loved the idea of getting water paints to make the water a bit more thick and deep in appearance. Great idea there! I bought the lily pads that you seem to have in the video as well. I cannot wait to try that as well. The ladder has been the process that has me a little bit stumped. How high was your ladder? I think finding the right lens so you don't have to get as high might be key as well. The other really challenging aspect is getting yourself centered on the ladder for a really correct face down angle. I have had my ladder over the model, but slightly back, but not to the side like you had. I will have to try to the side. How I get my water warm. I have a sink in my garage that has a faucet with a fitting that you find on your garden hose. Sometimes faucets have a fitting right at the end of them which you unscrew. You can then buy a long enough hose to reach to your pool. Yet, most outdoor faucets are cold. I fill up my kids pool all the time, but I haul buckets of water out of the house. I make one SUPER hot, to make the temperate warm over all. Its a lot of work that way though. You produced fabulous pictures! I would like to incorporate red in some how. I think with the lily pad approach, I might be able to get that color in there. Thank you for the towel Idea. I was going to make a pillow, - I am going to just use that. AWESOME shots!
Adding in some metallic paints or some glitter (eco friendly) would be stunning & give the shots an even greater fairytale feel. You could match the models makeup in the same tones & finishes too.
Loved it! I want to try this with my mermaid friend. She'd love it! But, I think I'll wait to suggest it until I become a better photographer, and until I get a better lens.
If you have any suggestions on how to keep the water warm , please let me know! I was thinking something like a heater and a pump? Would love to find a solution for the next shoot
When my daughter is playing in the pool, I fill it up with extra warm water thru the hose direct from the bathroom tub, and it stays warm a long time.
Aquarium heater comes to mind!
You can warm rocks in the oven (or better yet a fire) and then put them into the pool. That's how primitive people boiled without pots and pans.
You can try an aquarium heater. Amazing pics by the way!

The BEST part about your content is that you make photography more doable and approachable.💕🌸💕
Also beautiful backsong😭❤️
The tip to colour the water is so good! I've tried this before and now you've made me realize what I was missing. Can't wait to try it again this summer!
So awesome! So inspired!!! One idea...I use colored children's bath tablets...the colored are beautiful!!
thank you soooo much for this! i was looking for drawing references for a picture of echo and narcissus, so when you added the mirror it gave me such a boods of inspiration
Any plans to show how you edited these, Irene? I’m particularly interested in seeing how you touched up her hair.
Fill the pool with very warm water right before the shoot. You can get a faucet attachment that will attach to the hose and run it from the bathroom or kitchen! Beautiful work Irene you are my hero !

It's like Ariel and Ursula, so pretty!
Very creative and beautiful results, but it’s pretty clear that it’s tons of work.the second set gorgeous is an understatement
The music is always LIT
I agree! Where do you get your music, Irene?
We love this so, so much ❤️
❤️❤️❤️

Yes! I agree I think I’ll get someone to help me out next time

your photos blow my mind your super creative i watch all your videos
You always have the most beautiful combinations of colors for your shoots 😍
Anybody else watched this video with a near-constant angst that either the camera, or both the camera and Irene would fall into the pool?
Love the result by the way, and the idea to put paint in the water to create depth is genius!
Or those power cables from the LED light..
But great results indeed.
Simply beautiful! I love the way you compose on the fly and bring out so much without being complex or excessive. Great video and amazing images!
This was amazing, I’m gonna try it soon in summer… You should do this shoot in afternoon instead of evening. You’ll get sunlight reflecting in the water and models won’t feel terribly cold..
This is just breathtaking Irene… you have challenged my creativity 😫😫😍😍! Wow
Spectacular…model had the perfect hair for this shoot.

Your shots of models in water are my favorites.
I have to say that for me you are one of the best photographers. You always inspire me with your creativity. Your pictures are all just beautiful. 🌸💕
Кипяточек подливать, как в детстве в тазик, чтобы ноги парить))) That's super cool idea!!! Will help my brain work in this direction 😃
Getting Millais' Ophelia vibes from that first set.
maybe a adding a few rounds of boiled water from the kettle so its hotish from the get go? might create a nice steam affect.. or jus adding a dose of hot water during the shoot to keep it warm....
This video deserves a million of views!
Que belleza de fotografia..!! GRACIAS RUclips, GRACIAS Irene R. por encontrarte , me inspiras..! Waaow....! :-)

Irene never seizes to amaze me...
💐🧞♀️🤗💐🧞♂️💐A BIG shout out for your models! They are really troupers who give it all!

For my kids I add boiling water from the water boiler before they go in and stir it with the cold water. That makes it warmer!
Cheers from Germany
I love your videos!
We tried that but there is way too much water in the pool I would have to add tons of buckets of boiling water to make any difference
Very creative! Being able to THINK outside the box is an important skill to have.
YAS I'm so trying this! I have a big pool for my grand baby! Beautiful results!

Good idea !
Eres la mejor Irene Rudnyk
One that looks perfectly aesthetical
Love it, you re-edited one of my photos similar to this in a past video! One of my favorite shoots! 🤍
Stunning!
You are really incredible using the natural light! Love this photoshoot! Well done!
Irena just get hose to tap attachments and fill pool with warm water from your kitchen sink. We used to do that for our kids when they was smaller.
Very nice shooting, very creative - beautiful natural model, nice colours
Love your video so much. It's so created.
your photography looks great
Epic!!
Wow absolutely amazing work!!😌
Irene you're so creative ! Great result !
Just having mains (to power your smoke machine) is not safe at all for your model in the water ! Never put power cords with mains near a pool for safety.
It’s not connected
Wow Irene!!! Great images and concept. Oh and her hair....
Totally beautiful and professional 👌 👏 😍
U r such a great photo and human being, , u want 2 make sure that the model feel comfortable while shooting 👍 💘😻💜 , love you Irene ..
Fantastic work. Loved it. That dangling camera strap was reinforcing my love of peak design straps.
This is absolutely beautiful! My friend and I want to do something similar this weekend!

Awesome idea... Thanks for the BTS.
Amazing models as usual too..especially the first one with the long hair 🙂
This is so good, Irene! She looks like a water nymph! I've done a couple of BTS photoshoots on my channel too but this one with water is incredible!
You have a great sense of projection..

For warmer water, just pour some boiling water in when it gets chilly.
When you create photos I love you’re shoot at your model your so awesome 😎 I love that 😊♥️thank You for the best tutorial 🙏🏻

absolutely beautiful
Loved it! I want to try this with my mermaid friend. She'd love it! But, I think I'll wait to suggest it until I become a better photographer, and until I get a better lens.
Your intro video is almost like a commercial video trailer. Love it❤️😍👍
