4:46 To clear up something for my fellow gaijin, Japanese doesn't use the word "kinoko" the way we would use the word "mushroom" in English. For some strange reason, they've chosen to use the word "kinoko" for Japanese mushrooms, while your traditional-shaped, Mario type mushrooms get called "masshuruumu". Yes, explaining to them that "kinoko" are "mushrooms" is challenging.

5:27 from what i can tell its still the same person talking, so "that's true" is infact not correct. "thats what i am saying" is meant to tell the other person that they are repeating something that they stated in a previous scentece (that is not shown in the question) where the other person may not have understood.
if its 2 people talking then they're both correct but they have different contextual meaning, the second one was their intention but they accidentally made it too ambiguous

I think the answer they chose in the mushroom question actually was incorrect, because it was in the same set of quotes, meaning the guy would have been saying "that's true" to his own statement.

It's a reference to the name of the river to the underworld in Greek Mythology. And I guess that's where the band got their name.
Edit: There's a similar river in Buddhist (or Shinto or something) belief. Forgot the name tho.
I guess that makes a bit more sense. Although still kind of weird to reference crossing a mythological river at the swimming pool but, clearly the creator of this learn English phone game’s intelligence is high mightier then I.

As a kid, I was a huge mythology geek, so the concept of The River Styx is very deeply ingrained in my memory.
