Then there is the Justice League: Gods and Monsters animated movie, which had inverted morality, so Darkseid is a good guy, but gets murdered by New Genesis forces.

This Justice League universe was umm... playing with power scaling. For example Captain Marvel/Shazam should literally be stronger than Superman with Magic yet he got killed by paradooms in a cutaway scene.

The other is Son of Darkseid when he is brainwashed by Darkseid and used on an attack on the Earth. The whole thing ends with him beating Darkseid so bad that the slaves feel bad for DS. I am surprised though he didn't reach that level of rage and not holding back

Most badass version of Superman. The ending is great, Trigon forms and goes an beats the breaks off of Darkseid. So much so that as he literally drags him into his alternate dimension Darkseid tries to get away and Trigon just sort of grabs him and is like “your not escaping these hands today” and drags him in with him. One of the best DC animated movies.
Dc should give more attention to trigon in the comics and stop flopping him like he has so much potential and i would like to see a fight between trigon and the darkseid in the comics amd also another between him and the spectre
I reject that Justice League Crisis on infinite earths came as a result of this. Constantine suffered enough throughout his life. He lost his family, friends, his love Zatana, and during this, the world he called home.
I mean even so, Constantine should have known better. His actions, along with the help of Barry Allen, are what massively led to the Justice League Crisis on Infinite Earths trilogy.

If they follow the comics then it would follow the stories that were made between 1986 and 2011. I think they'll just continue to adapt old stories and mix and match crisis events as they go along. My bet is that they do the court of owls storyline as a jumping on point and then go all the way through to the Dar Knights Metal. Which is arguably one of their best selling limited series'.
