Regardless of how you blow smoke on it... You only have so much space. How you use that space is the key. Sacrificing space for something is the game. Can you get a square peg in a round hole? Thinking outside the box to reveal the genie.. You only have a 12oz bottle and your trying to get 24oz in that space... its magic.. You have done just that...

im not impressed by many yachts these days but wow this one is sweet. how does the swimming pool/ tender carrier work? does the swimming pool open up to the sea and fill with sslt water to load the boat? if so woulsnt this cause horrible cleaning problems in the pool? just me thinking of everything...lol
The tender is not diesel electric, WIDER 32 has 2 x 260 HP Mercruiser 3.0 TDI / BRAVO 1 DTS... it is not to take for granted to install electric batteries on a small yacht, there are SPACE and WEIGHT to be considerate ;)

I will be more to happy to clean the deck for ya... LMAO ;)

As I understand it their shape is much more flexible (no drive shaft for example) and so they can be fitted around the bow rather than take up more useful space further back.
You don't need giant engines this way, with four generators you can scale up power production as demand increases. There's less NVH just from that, add in no prop shafts running through the hull and you get even less vibrations. Think of it like the difference in noise and bumps going down the road in a Rolls Royce Phantom vs a Hyundai Elantra.
There will be a battery bank for what is referred to as the hotel load, which is all the lights, AC, stove, fridge ect. The engines though are powered directly from the generators. They operate like a locomotive. In theory it should be more fuel efficient as the generators would always run at their optimum rpm regardless of boat speed.

Well, it's a point of view: if you compare it with an express cruiser it will result you slow, if you think that it is a superyacht reaching more than 14knots, well, it's not. For these kind of yachts hte most important things are the comfort, the silence, the luxury and the fact that you can go into natural reserves using only the batteries!
Hey Wider why not get a fast amphibious Tender Boat/Car to go in that garage? I built a fast prototype that runs right at 45 mph (39 knots) on water and is fast on land too. I am working on prototype #2 with my own custom transmission. It is a way better layout than the one in the video. I can custom build a fast amphibious limo size unit with 4 wheel drive and 4 wheel steer and yes the wheels will be fully retractable and yes it will be fast in the water.
You must consider that 6 guys with weapons riding on a 45 foot power boat can hijack you. You should be ashamed producing only 17 knots for such a large ship that costs millions. ... Mark Spitz can swim faster than you can sail.
